Chapter 167

When morning came and news of George Meyers' arrest was all over the news. Daniel, who had not slept because of the tunnel below Max's hospital, sat next to his aunt, who was in tears.

Finally, the day she had always hoped for came after her five years in a coma, but it was worth the sleep. She held her nephew's hand with tears in her eyes.

"You did it," she whispered. "Your parents are looking down happily on their son."

Daniel smiled at her.

"I will pop the wine after I get the head behind the order," he replied.

"Did you talk to Max?" She asked.

Daniel analyzed her question, "Did you know about his real parents?" He asked.

"He confessed when I was in my coma," she replied. "I hope you understand he is just a victim of his family's greed."

"I know we talked, though I had to kidnap him in order to make him talk," he confessed.

"What? Please tell me you did not hurt him."

"Of course not; he is fine," Daniel assured her.

Cathy, who was taking a shower, finished up and joined them.
