A man dressed in an impeccable suit walked in through the door, his loafers clicking against the marble swiftly.
Ryan Brook turned to Caius.
"You're dead! Completely dead. You don't know who you just messed with." He boasted.
Marcus Williams the CFO walked into the scene, looking at Ryan first.
"What is going on here?" He asked, his voice smooth and rich.
Ryan snapped his finger at Caius in justified false accusation.
"Here he is, Sir. He insulted my girlfriend. He wanted to slap her in the face if I hadn't stepped in. I don't want to take actions on him yet so I had to quickly inform you." He spin the whole thing to make it justified and anger the CFO.
Marcus Williams turned his look at the person, following the line of his hand. "Who is that pers—"
The rest of the words caught in his throat. His eyes widened. His body tembled violently like an electric pulse had just slammed into him.
"Sir...Sir..."
Without even asking. The CFO crumbled at Caius's feet with a sharp crack echoing from his knee.
"Please..Sir..i didn't know you were here..I didn't know.."
Everyone was in shock.
Arabella looked at the man at Caius's feet in stunned silence.
Diane's eyes went wide in shock and confusion.
Ryan's expression went from Satisfaction cycling through emotions— shock, confusion and disbelief.
"Sir..what are you doing...he's the idiot I tal.."
He didn't finish. He couldn't. Marcus Williams spun to the back, his right hand following, cutting through the air like a whip and slamming against his face.
The impact echoed off the hall.
The hall gasped.
"What is happening?"
"Didn't that young man called the CFO?"
"Is he insane or what?"
Ryan stumbled back three steps, his palm pressed on his cheek in shock. Five red fingerprints bloomed across his face like African ethnical Mark.
"Are you crazy? Do you know whom you just speak in his front?" Marcus Williams fired at him angrily.
Ryan's palm slipped from his face, her voice cracking slightly after the first slap as he wanted to explain again. "Y_ you're getting it all wrong, Sir. This young man here is a nobody. He insulted me and my woman. The slap should be meant for him—"
TAAA!
A second slap thundered on his face.
Gasp!
Ryan collapsed into the nearest table.
"Are you crazy? You still have to tgr the audacity to speak in front of Mr. —"
"Stop." Caius said. One word that carried authority that made the CFO obeyed and listened.
Caius looked at the CFO without even glancing at Ryan who's face has been reconstructed on the floor.
"I'm highly disappointed, Marcus." He said. Marcus Williams trembled in fear, not daring to speak. "On what ground do you employ people at the Firm? Because what I just witnessed from him— he insulted me and my partner here and even believed this woman's lies.." he pointed at Diane who had stood completely frozen in shock and confusion.
"— is this what you teach them? Are these the people you employ?"
