"Sir....i..this is a huge misunderstanding. handle this.. please forgive me, Sir... I take the blame. I'm at fault.." Marcus Williams's voice cracked, shaking in fear that put the entire hall in surprise and Confusion.
He crossed the room in two strides to meet Ryan. He grabbed his collar and slammed a kick to his knee.
"Apologize now you idiot!" He barked, "Your joke here is done. You're finished!"
Ryan screamed in pain, eyes widened in shock, his composure cracking now seeing the panic written across the CFO's face.
The hall whispered, direction at Caius, wondering who he is exactly.
Marcus Williams pulled Ryan closer, his voice dropping to an octave, trembling and threatening.
"You're finished. You're gone. You..you don't know who he is. He can ruin your entire career with just a call and get your entire piece of shit outside there seized with just one call. He's fucking associated with the Cross family you dumbass!"
Ryan's knee buckled. He balanced his weight on the nearby table before the floor could caught him. His entire composure completely evaporated like mist. He trembled perceptibly.
"I..I didn't know..I didn't know who he was...Oh, my world..."
His knee hit the marble with a sharp crack. He crawled to meet Caius's feet like and sniveling like an insect.
He grabbed his trousers shaking in frantically, the words tumbling out of his mouth with tremor.
"Please..Sir.. Please forgive me. I was stupid, I was blind and foolish and... please.."
Arabella couldn't speak. He just watched the unfolding scene with shock and confusion mix in her eyes.
Ryan had been lashing out earlier, puffing his shoulder while threatening to them but the table spun suddenly as the CFO walked in...Ryan had called him but he was humiliated on top.
and the way Marcus Williams look at Caius like he was some sort of big shot who puts him in the job. The ordinary looking young man who proposed to her barley twenty-four hours.
Who is Caius Kyoto? Her mind swirled.
"....and Ma...I'm sorry..I'm sorry about how I spoke to you." Ryan was at Arabella's feet, hands clasped in his front.
Diane's face flushed with embarrassment and anger seeing Ryan on the floor.
She lunged for his collar. "What the heck are you doing?!! You're groveling for this peice of shi—"
Ryan's movement was fast; his hand split the air, slamming her face like lightning crumbling concrete wall.
"Are you mad? Keep your loud mouth shut!" His finger snapped at her. "You're the cause of all of this in the first place. I shouldn't have brought your here!"
Diane paused in shock, anger morphing into an emotional cycle that passed her face in second— shock, confusion and disbelief. Red finger prints bloomed over her face, make-up perfect earlier smeared across her face.
"You...you.. slapped me, Ryan..." Her voice was a breaking glass. ".... because of this pieces of rag." Her finger snapped at Arabella then at Caius.
She grabbed her clutch. With one last threatening glance at Arabella, "You'll come back home, you cheap sl*t." She said and strutted out of the restaurant in rage.
