Caius adjusted his bag and walked to meet the security man at the gate.
"Good morning, Sir," He greeted politely and the man looked up from his desk in mild surprise.
"Morning, how may I be of help to you, young man?" The uniformed security asked, his eyes searching his appearance intently.
"I need your help directing me to the admission office." He said, keeping his voice polite and the security man was getting more surprised in his expression.
"Are you a visitor here?"
"A new student." Caius said.
The security gasped gently. He looked at the young man before him again. He was different from the other students here that wear clothes that probably cost more than his two years salary and he was surprised with Caius polite speech because students here are arrogant and very mannerless.
The security nodded and stepped closer to him. "I see you're different," he said, "I'll give you a piece of advice— just be careful here or preferably..why did you think of coming to a place like this? Can you survive?"
"Excuse me?" Caius raised a brow in confusion.
"Nevermind," the man waved it off, "you'll find out yourself."
Before Caius could ask any question, the man pointed to a building in the distance.
"When you get to Block A, you're at the admission office."
Caius nodded. "Thank you, Sir," and walked inside.
The main Quad scattered with students hanging around—a few with books, some with lovers and some clustered in squads laughing at something on their phone.
His mind circled to the reason why he was at Kingswell— to look for a his destiny lover. Caius belonged to a family where at Nineteen, a male child would have a dream that shows him the face of his destiny lover and Caius was here to look for her, his actual identity kept to fulfill the purpose.
He pulled out his phone. On the screen displayed the perfect hand sketch of a beautiful young woman with cascading black hair.
He exhaled sharply. "I hope I find her soon." He muttered, staring at the image for some seconds before shoving down the phone into his pocket.
The mechanical sound of a Car tore through the air behind as a red Audi A8 pulled over in style at the school parking lot. The plate displayed a name in bold: Thompson Parker.
The name that shakes the entire school, son of a renowned millionaire in the city, his father is the biggest shareholder of the school and because of that, Thompson carried himself with the arrogance of an untouchable person. He's the biggest bully in the school. Bark to his beat and you're swimming in his favor, walk in his lane and be ready to face a brutal consequence.
He stepped out of the car in one of the lastest designer Jacket in his expensive wardrobe— Handsomely troublesome.
"Awww.. he's looking super hotter today." A girl squealed in excitement.
"Goddammit! A night with him and I'll be crazy for life." Another girl said leered.
Caius shook his head. "That's quite the spectacle for a gate entrance." Without any interest, he walked to the Block A— the registrar office and pressed door bell gently.
"Come in,"
He pushed the door open and stepped inside to see a man seated inside the clean office, clad in a white black suit, his eyes fixed on the computer in his front, fingers clattering across the keys frantically. Nathaniel Graves. His name was displayed on the gold name plate on the desk edge.
"Good morning, Sir." Caius greeted him to have his attention but the man didn't look up from his computer.
"State your purpose here."
"I'm here to register."
The man's hand froze on the keys. He looked up, adjusting his glasses for proper observation.
"Are you joking with me, young man?" His voice hardened.
"Joke? Does it sound like comedy, Sir?" Caius responded, his expression serious and his voice respectful.
The tone was convincing but Nathaniel Graves had seen students come inside his office to play all sorts of tricks for fun.
"I don't have time for your silly jokes, young man," he said. "The school admitted had closed. Get out of my office before I get mad."
Caius kept his expression undisturbed.
"Don't you think it's right you check my file? I'm a transfer student."
The man looked up to see him pulling out the familiar school file. His expression twisted in anger.
"So you went to the extreme forging a file to claim studentship?! You've stupidly walked into a mess you—"
He lunged for the desk telephone to call the security but coincidentally his personal phone buzzed, cutting the rest of his words off.
"I advise you pick that first." Caius said casually. The Registrar glanced at him, but without any interest and picked up his personal phone willingly without paying an attention to the strange number displayed on the screen.
"Hello..who is this..What...Sir..." His voice shifted instantly, trembling. The Force with which he jerked up from his Swivel Chair rocked the chair violently behind. His voice tumbled out. ".Sir...he's right here...yes sir. No delay. I'll attend to him right away, Sir.
He dropped the call.
Silence settled in the office allowing the air conditioner to hum loudly in their ear. His gaze locked on the young man in his front.
"Who..who are you?"
