A scene composed with an outdoor dark-green and caged basketball court as the afternoon sunshine was about leaving the cool and breezy surrounding grassy area. Within it, Stella and Farouk, both wearing 2 polos with chinos and jeans respectively, stood backing each other with sunken faces and rigid frames. The strong tones they spoke in.
"You are just sooo messed up." Stella raised hands, shaking her head. "You expect me to be dealing with how inactive you've been for the past few months. Your business with friends who are cult members. How could you?" "I was not friends with a cult member." Farouk harked, waving as he stepped forth. "I just thought he was because I heard rumours… and that was years ago… like, that's even the reason I left them, but they seem to be coming after me." He then raised his brow and hand. "What did I do wrong, now?" Stella's folded arms with wide eyes. "You were friends with them, because of 'peer pressure'." She breathed as she air quoted. "Please, I'm the only daughter of my mother. Who knows what you can do to me." "Girl, we don't even talk that often." Now Farouk gave puzzled eyes. "We're mostly chatting…" "Yhh, boy, but who knows what the heck would you do to me online…? Please leave me." Stella voiced out, her tone mildly viscous, before she walked back far away from Farouk. At that, silence filled the space, giving room to think. *** The next day, inside a huge and lofty warehouse looking like structure with grimy grey walls and big metal pipes attached, foul and strong stenches of something like green sewage wafted through the air. They creeped into a big and nasty rusty iron framed window into a dusty, small and stuffy cubicle of a room, with machettes, rods and clubs stacked against a corner in the dark place, only with a bulb lit above. Segun, in black drooping clothes with matching trousers, shirt and a hoodie, knelt before a much taller and buff man in the same clothes. They wore a flashing oni demon-type mask with big white teeth with black linings, venting and heaving. "Segun, that wasn't the plan… you know Gloria comes from a rich family. Just because Stella looks like she comes from one too doesn't mean you ditch Gloria the way you did because she fell for some cheap guy." "Well not my problem or ours, is it sir?" Segun raised his head grinning. "POW!" A sharp blow echoed from his stomach. The hulk crouched before Segun who coughed blood with his bent frame, whispering. Aside from making me want to treat you like an abusable bitch, there's one more thing I need you to do… Find Gloria, get that girl back, and frame Farouk again… better this time!" Segun's red eyes shook. "Stella is a fraud chasing you for money… at least we all know Gloria isn't that low, goddamit." He gripped Segun's shirt, lifting him as she stood. "Find this girl before I make you regret joining this cult with your bones." With that, he dropped him, walking out from behind Segun, before the sound of a metal door slid open and banged from there. At this, his panicked eyes froze as he slowly panted before gritting to show his blood stained teeth. He was definitely going to end some stuff. *** Much later, down a long sky blue walled hall with grey granite tiles flooring the long place, Farouk and Gloria trekked down the bright place with a few other students, holding hands. Segun meanwhile, in his red shirt with baggy black trousers, slowly but raptly walked behind them, sticking to the walls and corners around. Sooner, the duo began talking as Gloria muttered, after reaching a secluded spot beside a door. "Thank you again for that recording of Segun's confession." The man raised his brows, hiding behind a metal silver cupboard. So that's how he played. No problem. From there, he walked on, down the other way, far behind them, before meeting a tall and fair skinned muscular man with a chiseled face. Segun's own startled, bumping into him who was wearing a long sleeve grey shirt with jet-black trousers. "Bored much?" The smaller guy frowned. "You were meant to be back at base." "THWAO!" A swift slap on Segun's face. The provoked's frown. "The gall of this kid… You got any leads." "Farouk recorded me confessing to blackmailing Gloria." The two continued pacing down the hall. "Also, now we're gonna need a team to just kidnap and torture him before we get the recording and edit it, saying that he was lying." "Good idea." The superior's deep voice bellowed. "Get that boy out of the way as soon as school closes and down to the warehouse… We'll deal with the asshole in the meantime while you get ready for your date with Stella." Segun smiled before the boss lowered narrow and stern looking eyes at him. "But," he continued. "If you ever have to leave out your 'pageant date' to snap him back to reality, I don't want no take-backs… do this quickly before you have to deal with the consequences not going at all with your boys. Capish?" "Yes sir." Segun muttered in a meek voice. From there on, the two continued down their path. Surely, hell was yet to come. ***3 WEEKS AGO. "Farouk, come on, you've got nothing there… she doesn't even want you." Atop the middle of giant concrete bleachers in a huge stadium with greenish brown grass with the setting evening sun, Farouk and Segun sat side by side, in red and black jogging sportwears, just holding up and tapping their phones. "Look." Segun spoke. "Clearly, you've seen we are an extremely powerful cult and stumbled upon our meetings, and I know you want power, son… You really do… and I can give it to you if you join our gang. We're lively." Farouk raised his eyebrows, withdrawing from him. "Look at us." The bad influence spoke. "You can get all your marks squarely without reading, you can even date Stella. Heck you can-." "No just stop it, meen!" He stood up sharply, hands in the air. "And don't follow me." As he backed Segun about picking up pace - BZZZZT! Farouk dropped to the ground, leaving the unruly influence standing tall behind him, holding a taser. His mildly frowning straight face must have spelt all seriousness about to be imposed greatly in the future. Now what's the plan, how do we save Farouk and Gloria? All will come into play soon in the next chapters to come.Latest Chapter
Chapter 145: Tyrian Royalty.
APEX SKIES, THE OMEGA END DIMENSION. "Ayomide, this was wrong... We were never supposed to threaten Kage with Jean's life at all... Now he's actually going to continue war with The Omega End Dimension, as he's at the peak if things. A male voice. Within a white oval shaped room with floating blue balls the size of soccer ones Aduragbemi faced a tall athletic ebony woman with long black ponytailes hair, in a silky yellow robe. The Omega End Protector shook his head. That drab sigh. "Well the thing is, now we actually need to find a way of to do two things... One, stop him from doing anymore harm to Mavis and bringing him here... Two, find a way to compensate for the death of his mother." Now the woman frowned. "Isn't that just going to make everything pointless...? Kage owes me so much, after what he actually did to us, to even Jean's dismay, by murdering some of our generals in cold blood, just to teach us a lesson, and stealing our artifacts that could've helped to save more live
Chapter 144: The Price for A King.
"Wait, this can't be possible... No one was supposed to survive that clash in ye Blue End.""CLANG!" Heavy metal sounds. Within a medium size oak wood walled room, two Sprite's pushed swords against each other. Huge black blades. One's scowl minute. "You know, I thought we would actually be on the same page here and stop defending Inferno so much... He almost killed us!" He got pushed. That hard fall. The other nodded his opponent. The silent defeated fighter. Soon came in another variant of Sprite. He shook his head. "You know what, I'll be calling you Sparks from now own, and that'll be your name in this book... Mine will be Soul." "Aight cool." Sparks nodded. "Now what's going on with everyone hurting themselves so much.""That we can talk about in more detail, but what the version of Sprite you killed just told you is what it is... He and a number of other Sprite's are out to kill Inferno because he caused the now formally termed 'Collision Event' that murdered thousands of o
Chapter 143: The Lie I Chose to Believe.
EDGAR'S POV. You know those times when you think you've come back with a fascinating discovery of a 'friend', pretty much the best discovery in the world, you wonder where you get such courage to defend the lie that all you got was a lie about one, and only a cheat... Is this why men learn to be alone?***14 YEARS AGO. Within a wide red rocky floored area, as a shore for a massive lake of lava, with a ceiling for the crimson material for a sky, Edgar and Eijiro, now looking a lot younger- a 4 feet tall fair skinned boy with Asian eyes and a much smaller and smoother version of Edgar, sat deep into a cave, far from the lava. Edgar smiled, shaking his out head. "I can't believe you actually here for fun...! Don't even your parents know?""Nah brother, and please lets just enjoy the view." Eijiro looked up. "It's not everytime I get to see a populated place this barren and still looking so cool."Edgar lightly chuckled, with closed eyes. He then sighed. That solemn pouting face. He
Chapter 142: The Beginning of The Endgame.
Within a sparse area of an oak wood forest, with the rising morning sun around, Farouk stood, facing Chojo from a far distance. The black misty one floated above, staring at the dark-skinned. The Summit Warden shook his head. "Look, I get the fact that you're here, to think you can just fight me easily and save a ton of your friends, but I've got bigger business to attend to... Lemme leave of for Femi, you..." "Femi's gone, 'bro', and if you at least keep your mouth shut and just come fight me, may be you'll actually learn who's really the guy with important stuff to do."Farouk's glaring eyes. His fists tight.Legs rooted hard. That hard kick. The guy zoomed up. That straight. Chojo caught him, by the hand. The villain glared. Farouk scowling, frozen in the air. Chojo's calm stare.A huge kick later. Both parties pushed back. A fight followed. They crashed through mountains. Those huge chunks. For acres they did. Farouk's swift blow. That transits to a punch. Sergeant Bee's f
Chapter 141: What Makes A King.
"Joey you what? You're right... something else happened that made that fight harder than it was supposed to be." A male voice. In a dark, grimy and black cement walled room with a whole face of iron bars interlocked the rest, like a jail cell's Joey, in wounds and rage sat there. The dimly lit alley way where the space was located looked built the same way. Meanwhile Silco, dressed in his same stocky armour from earlier, was outside the room Joey stayed in. He knelt, staring at the guy, while the captive, probably, backed him. Joey then faced him. "Really Silco, are you actually cool with the way I treated you...? It was pretty hard on you." "Yes I am man, because to be honest, you have actually put things in a much more visionary perspective than I have. " Silco's warm smile." Now enough chit chat, there are bigger things out there to delve into."Silco moved forward. "Do you remember your last fight with Aquarius, or probably your first, too?" "Yeah, and it ended when I final
Chapter 140: Before the Books Are Taken.
“Hogan, it’s true. I do know where to find Raptor and his men now.” A male scream.Within a hot small cave, atop a rubble of deepslate boulders, Edet landed on them. Hogan was opposite him. Edet’s battered body and face with wounds. The other man shook his head. “Well at least I can see that you are more pathetic than I thought, compared to most of my other comrades.”“Why not bring Chisom along with you to do an interrogation or so, cuz it doesn’t make sense why you’re still disbelieving me.”Edet shook his head. “Hakeem and Meredith want to get The Amber Blade, the only thing that can stop Raptor and his garden, but there’s no other means of doing such there, because they don’t have it in Cyclops Garden.”Yeah, well we’ve got a lot of that riiiiight here, and we won’t be needing your slimy ass around our business, big guy.” A female’s voice.Hogan turned back. Chisom stood there.A huge yellow glowing battle axe in her hand. Intricate carvings on its metal matching blade. She closed
