Door Knock

The door opened and revealed a woman with long hair. The figure then walked over to Thomas and Rio who were sitting.

 "Ma'am," said Thomas.

"Oh, Rio. When did you get here?" asked Thomas' mother.

"Hehehe ... Just now, Auntie," Rio answered.

"So he's seen a ghost, Ma'am. That's why he ran here. Even though there's no one in the house," said Thomas.

 "Ghost?"

"Yes, that ghost, ma'am," said Thomas.

His mother nodded in understanding. He understood what his son meant.

"Ma'am, I wanted to ask permission to stay over at Rio's house. It's a pity he doesn't have friends. And if he's the one who stays here, the valuables in his house might be stolen by thieves," said Thomas.

 "But the ghost ...?"

"Ma'am, you said that fear would only make her stronger. If I get rid of that fear, then what can she do?"

Thomas' words immediately made his mother speechless. Thomas was sure that later his mother would give him permission.

"Yes, but be careful! And don't forget to read the prayer," said his mother.

 "Ready Ma'am."

"Okay, we'll say goodbye right away, Ma'am. You're also careful. If there's a knock on the door, don't ever open it. It's probably not human," said Thomas. In the last two sentences he deliberately kept his voice down.

It's nothing. Once again, when someone talks about ghosts, it will only attract the ghosts closer, and Thomas doesn't want that to happen.

Next, he and Rio rushed out of the house. Not forgetting Thomas also asked his mother to immediately lock the door of the house. Only after that did he walk side by side with Rio to go to Rio's house.

"Tonight I actually have a big mission," said Thomas on the way.

 "What mission?" Rio asked confused.

"I'll explain when I get to your house," said Thomas. Rio only nodded in understanding.

The distance between Thomas' house and Rio's house is not too far. Maybe not even 100 meters. It's just that the village was already very quiet, coupled with the darkness of the night that made their trip feel very tense. But fortunately, they were able to get to their destination without the slightest disturbance.

"Hahaha ... I swear, you're so stupid. You leave the house with the door open at night and no one is in the house, and want to stay at someone else's house? Are you ready to lose valuables?" asked Thomas when he saw the wide open door of Rio's house.

Rio just scratched his head while laughing at his stupidity.

"I already closed the feeling earlier. Eh, I don't know either. I forgot whether I closed it or not, did I?" Rio said.

"Never mind! We better go in first," said Thomas. Rio also agreed.

Meanwhile, the situation at home is also normal. The house lights that had been off, are now back on. Rio felt that the ghost had also left.

He then invited Thomas to sit on the chair in the living room. There was something he wanted to ask his best friend.

"So what mission are you referring to?" he asked.

"Since this afternoon I've been waiting for the ghost to come," said Thomas.

"Ha? Why are you waiting for a ghost to come?" he asked.

"I want to find out about why and what he meant to terrorize this village," said Thomas.

Rio just shook his head. Either he would call his friend too brave or even call him too stupid. Just imagining that ghost's face made him want to faint, let alone having to face one on one.

"Then, if you want to reveal it, then why do you even intend to hurt him?" he asked.

 "It means?"

"Don't pretend to forget! You kicked me earlier because you thought I was a ghost. If you really wanted to find out the truth about the ghost, why did you end up like that when he came?" he asked.

 "So you're a ghost?"

 "No. I'm the real Rio."

"But ... You said earlier ...."

"That's just a supposition. If the one who came earlier wasn't me, and actually the ghost," said Rio.

 "Oh."

Rio was a little annoyed he made. However, with the presence of Thomas in his house, his heart can also be calmer. The feeling of fear suddenly disappeared.

 "Why?"

"It's okay. I'm just annoyed. If you wait on purpose, he won't come. Then if you don't wait, he will come. That's the reason," Thomas replied.

Rio shook his head again. He thinks his best friend is really crazy.

"So, what's your next plan?" he asked.

"You said the ghost was here, right?" he asked. Rio nodded.

"How about we uncover the truth about the ghost tonight? Together it doesn't seem so scary," said Thomas.

"Yeah. It's not that scary. Maybe we're just crying and all stiff. Besides, how do we find out? Should we ask the ghost?" he asked.

This time Thomas was confused by Rio. The question that Rio addressed to him was difficult to answer.

"Ask the ghost? That's a very stupid action. If the ghost came because it wanted to convey a message, without us asking anything to it, surely the ghost will give us information. But if in case the ghost came for revenge, maybe it would be very dangerous for us. But at least, by trying to reveal it, we can know the truth," said Thomas.

"So, we have to wait until the ghost comes again?" he asked.

 "Something like that," said Thomas.

Rio took a deep breath. That's a bad idea. What's the point of waiting if when the one he's waiting for arrives, he runs instead? It's really no use.

 Tok! Tok! Tok!

Their eyes were immediately fixed on the door of the house. Someone is knocking on the door. Rio immediately went that way and checked who had come to visit.

 "Older brother."

Turns out it was her brother. Whether because of fatigue or what, his brother immediately entered and immediately headed for his room. Not even Thomas was greeted. Though Thomas' position now is as a guest in his house.

"Where did your brother come from?"

"It's normal. Playing with his friends," Rio answered.

 "Oh."

"All right. Let's continue the conversation earlier," said Thomas.

 Tok! Tok! Tok!

There was a knock on the door again. As in the first incident, Thomas and Rio simultaneously directed their eyes towards the door of the house. Then, Rio got up again from his seat and checked who was knocking on his door from the window of the house. But how surprised he was when he knew the figure standing in front of his house there.

 "Brother," he said.
