Chloe froze when she saw Leo standing in front of her. Her eyes widened in shock, but that shock turned into pure annoyance within a second.
She tightened the silk bathrobe around her body and looked down at his yellow delivery uniform.
“Leo? Are you stalking me? How did you even survive after last night?” she yelled, her voice full of disgust.
Julian Vance walked out from the bedroom area, wearing a expensive silk robe. He was tying the belt around his waist. When he saw Leo holding the large food boxes, a cruel grin spread across his face.
“Well, look who it is,” Julian mocked, walking closer. “The unbreakable delivery boy. My men beat you into the mud last night, and you are already back on your feet delivering our breakfast? You really are a stubborn cockroach.”
Leo stood perfectly still. His face was calm, and his eyes were like deep, cold pools of water. He did not show any anger or fear.
“Here is your order from the Vance Group,” Leo said. His voice was steady and flat.
Chloe laughed loudly, leaning against the doorframe. She looked at Julian and shook her head.
“Honey, I told you he is completely brainless,” Chloe said with a giggle. “He does not have any pride. Normal people would run away from the city after getting a beating like that. But this trash only cares about his petty delivery tips.”
Julian walked right up to Leo. He took the heavy boxes of premium food from Leo’s hands. He looked at the luxury containers filled with caviar, fresh foreign fruits, and expensive wine.
“You want your tip, loser?” Julian asked, his voice dripping with malice.
Before Leo could answer, Julian opened the main food box. He turned it upside down and let all the expensive food drop directly onto the clean floor. The premium caviar smashed against the ground, and the dark, costly wine spilled everywhere, staining the white carpet.
Chloe gasped in surprise, but then she clutched her stomach and laughed even harder.
“Oh no, Julian, look what you did,” she cheered. “The trash boy’s hard work is ruined again.”
Julian dropped the empty box on top of the mess. He looked down at the pile of ruined food, then looked up at Leo with a dark, evil expression.
“My bad, my hand slipped,” Julian said, stepping closer until he was just inches away from Leo’s face. “But since my family owns this hotel, you are going to clean this up. In fact, I want you to get down on your knees and lick this floor completely clean.”
Chloe crossed her arms, nodding her head. “Yes, Leo. Do it. If you lick it clean, maybe Julian will give you a one-dollar tip. That is a lot of money for a beggar like you.”
Julian snapped his fingers, and two large guards came out from the corner of the hotel hallway, blocking Leo from behind.
“Lick it clean right now, Leo,” Julian threatened, pointing at the floor. “If you refuse, my men will break the rest of your bones today. And this time, you will not be able to get up tomorrow.”
Leo looked down at the ruined luxury food on the floor. Then, he slowly raised his head. He looked Julian dead in the eye. His gaze was so sharp and freezing cold that Julian actually felt a sudden shiver run down his spine.
“I refuse,” Leo said clearly.
Julian’s face twisted in anger. “What did you say to me? You dirty piece of trash, how dare you look at me like that?”
Julian raised his hand, forming a heavy fist to strike Leo directly in the face but his phone suddenly rings with an emergency call from his father.
