BLACK

The bar at the inn was beautiful and picturesque, there were a lot of bustles and no one noticed how odd I looked in my old clothes aside from myself.

The soft sound of a violin played from a corner of the inn as the drizzle from the rain outside dripped down the crystal glasses of the window.

I was excited by the rain I was excited by everything. The steady breeze made a perfect interlude, the lights wound around the wooden door from the bulbs, the flowers that were flourishing, and the woman singing with the most beautiful voice he had ever heard.

The chairs were soft and the human food was good as hell, I was very comfortable living among the mortals and there was no way I was going back anytime soon.

I was sure the man I had killed some minutes ago wouldn't mind me having his money and jacket, with that I looked more comfortable and blended in well among the people present at the bar.

Something kept drawing my attention to the woman singing to the sound of the violin, her voice alone was angelic and the most beautiful thing he had ever heard.

The singer caught me watching and gave me e a sly gaze as she walked toward each man present singing in a sonorous voice.

She pulled this man's tie and that man's beard, and when she got to where she walked away again back to her little stage not without giving me a breathtaking smile.

Father had mentioned the mortal women as being the most beautiful entity he ever came across, now that I was watching one I wouldn't need Azrael to help in describing their beauty to me as I was seeing everything and wouldn't mind having it all to myself.

I could smell her coming again, she was like a rose among thorns. Her scent filled the room with the scent of alcohol and other stuff.

I watched as a man brought out a cigarette. It was almost the same thing with the weed I had in my pocket, so I watched as the man puffed out the smoke from the cigarette after smoking it through his lips.

I did the same, puffing out the smoke from the weed just as the man had done…

I had been distracted by the smoke from the weed I had been smoking and when I looked up again, the singing woman was gone and I couldn't see the woman that I had admired a while ago.

I looked toward the door quickly hoping to catch a glimpse of her then I saw her slipping out of the inn door quietly after picking up her coat.

I followed her quietly as well, Stealing a hat of my own from the stand and sliding through the door into the dark street.

***

The street where she walked lacked finesse as the stench of death, and human waste cut through the air that almost making her gag and throw up right in her mouth.

She felt being followed and from time to time she turned back only to be faced with absolute darkness as she cut through the streets in quiet desperation. Wearied but at the same time having no choice.

Once again she felt the overwhelming presence of an entity and turned back to look only to see no one again other than the faulty lights and the sorry state of the slum.

I watched as she moved quickly along the beaten path, I knew I needed to catch up with her at the same time I didn't fancy the chances I had and wouldn't want to scare her off.

My intuition had pointed her out as the "Chosen One" for my plan, So it had become to me a do-or-die situation.

As she crossed the next street, she raised her head and saw two men ahead smoking. She cussed under her breath knowing what might come if she walked past but mustered courage and did anyway.

Carmela didn't dare to look at either side as she walked through, aware of the men of the night lurking and staring at her. She hoped they didn't act stupid and just let her go without catcalling or whistling but they did both anyways and when she didn't pay them any attention they followed her.

They sidled up next to her, quiet in their approach. The voice was gravel and more crude as he whispered.

“You won't pay us any attention right?”

The woman leaped to recoil frightened, she tried to walk past him the other way but got cut off by another man. She was aware of their facial expression of mischief and remained

transfixed knowing fully well it had been very stupid of her to walk through that path knowing full well this might happen.

“Please, let me just go out. I promise not to mention this hideout to anyone,” she said while reaching out into her bag for the pepper spray she had handy. Her hands curled around the bottle as she waited for the first man to make a move.

When he did, she tried bringing it but was not fast enough as he caught her hand mid-air. Taking a strand of chestnut hair between his fingers, she moaned out in distress

" You were thinking of using this on us right?" He smiled beseechingly. "Well, we are going to give you a good fuck so you would learn not to mess with us next time ." The one that had appeared to pull her hair appeared to be the boss. He whistled and three other men appeared from the dark, this was it she was going to get raped. Gang banged most probably in all holes. Carmela swallowed her saliva in distress, this time she threw up in her mouth and swallowed.

"Please, let me go," She begged.

The men laughed instead as they approached her, the one that had held her hair reached down to the front of her dress and yanked it down exposing her bosom. He took it into his lips and suckled at her nipples till they became hard as a rock. Another was groping at her ass and second boobs.

She closed her eyes and hoped for something to happen.

"Let the woman go ." My voice echoed from the darkness I had been in. The woman was mine and wasn't one I was willing to share with anyone.

The men looked around wondering who was stupid enough to venture into their den.

"Who the hell is that?" The leader of the gang barked out.

I walked out into the light, wearing the hat I had stolen over a jacket as I puffed out smoke from a cigarette realizing I do enjoy smoking this human shit and was about to kick that shit into some men's ass right that moment.

I dropped the cigarette to the ground and took out its embers with the end of my boot just as I had seen them do.

"I said let the woman go !" I said again.

"Who the hell are you ?" Another man said while flashing a pocket knife.

"Guess you are about to find out what hell is and trust me it is not very nice," I whispered and smirked.

  • Please Stay

I stood dumbstruck at what I saw. Ever since I worked as an agent pursuing this case, I've never seen anyone who actually commanded beasts. I began to wonder if he was the faceless Saviour everyone was talking about. But for some reason, this faceless Saviour looked nothing like the one I saw on the news. He had this dangerous and unnatural aura, just like what I'd perceived that night. He commanded the monsters and that's exactly what caught my attention. How on earth was he able to do that?"Hey, August!" I blinked but didn't turn around to answer Fox because of what I saw. I was still very much in shock."Where are the monsters? We heard their voices just some minutes ago?" He asked. I turned around to face my partners, who looked around in a confused state."There are no monsters anymore.""Huh? How's that possible? We clearly heard the growls of these monsters. Have they, perhaps, escaped?" Jed asked while staring at me, desperate for answers.I lifted my gun up to them."See? I

  • Take Me To Your Master

I woke up instantly at the sudden burn I felt. "Black!" He must be close by and probably causing a ruckus due to the sudden burn I felt. This was it. I've been trying to find him all this while. Who would have thought that I'd find him soon? I quickly left my bed and dashed out of the house. I stared at the car which I had bought and shook my head. There was no need to take a car when I needed to find someone like Black. I quickly made myself invisible and teleported to the police where I sensed him. I was baffled beyond measure when I found myself in front of a huge shopping mall which had been destroyed. This was indeed the work of Black. I could see the immortal blue flame which he used in causing the destruction. What a pity, so this was all the ruling he wanted. I laid my eyes on the mortals who had no souls and shut my eyes. Black has indeed caused more than enough damage in the human world. I need to take him away as soon as possible before the whole of humanity perishes i

  • You Must Save Everyone

After having a long day at work, I decided to head grocery shopping. I found out Jed was actually talking about the weekend. It was easy for someone like me to forget if there are weekends or not. That's because I don't have much to do at the weekends. After getting groceries from the shop, I quickly headed back home. I made myself some steak and a bottle of wine to calm my nerves. Just then, I perceived something unnatural around me. This was new. I've never once perceived such a powerful presence before. I walked over to the window where the scent was imminent but found no one around. It can't be that the monster had found me. I quickly took out my pistol. I had no idea if a pistol would work on him, because if a gun worked on him, those agents wouldn't be reported dead. I'm sure they had no chance against the monster. "I slowly walked over to my door and opened it, but found no one out there. I sniffled the air, and the scent was gone. I wondered if I was the one who must have p

  • Where Are Your Things?

I have been in the wilderness of nothingness for centuries and I had no idea what was happening beyond the wilderness. I'm also ignorant about the havoc Black must have caused in the mortal world. Knowing what Black was capable of, I'm sure he must have caused unrest in the mortal world. I wished father would realize what had been happening and sent for me. It's been centuries. It can't be that Black had succeeded in taking over the immortal realm and holding our father captive just as he claimed he would. This was because father would have sent for me if he had found out what Black was up to. Just as I was thinking of the possibility of what might have happened in the immortal realm, the fog covering the wilderness suddenly cleared up. "Azreal, my son!" I immediately kneeled, throwing my face to the ground in a bow of respect. "Yes father," I replied with great delight. "I have neglected you for so long, and today, I've come to tell you that I've seen who the real sinner was

  • The Monster And The Faceless Saviour

I quickly dashed to the other side of the street, and what I saw, immediately sent me thumbling backwards, frighteningly. I quickly found another dark area to hide away from the street lights. The person screaming was a lady, and something like a monster stood in front of her. I saw a dark fog like that of an evil flame, which possesses people. He grabbed her by the neck and pulled her up in the air, so her legs weren't touching the ground anymore. He seemed to be strangling her while she gasped for air. Cold shivers ran down my spine as I watched the heart-wrenching scene in front of me. I should be helping this lady, but here I am shrieking with fear. What will become of me if I go out? I'm sure whatever it was might also strangle me to death. But I just can't watch it take another soul right in front of me. It would be cowardly of me to watch that happen."L..let the woman go," I said in a low tone. I held the metal bar in my hand strongly, just in case it came for me. The m

  • Waiting In The Wrong Street

I quickly walked to class, only to find a rowdy class with everyone talking here and there. This was strange, no matter what happened, the students never got that rowdy and noisy before. "August, you're here," Jedai said, running towards me."What's going on, Jed, why is there so much unrest in school today?""I guess you haven't heard about what happened then?""Huh? W...what happened?" I asked, almost in panic. Juedai breathed a huge sigh and quickly pulled me out of the class to a quiet corner. "It is said that Mr Stone is dead.""What?! Y...you mean the principal?""Exactly!" Jedai answered in a whisper. "His death seemed to be mysterious and weird," Jedai added. "Could you please elaborate on this?""Well, according to the school authorities, the principal stayed up late at night, going through our exam sheets since the exams were coming near, but then, he didn't go back home until midnight. The security guard went to his office to ask if he was going to stay the night but
