ON THE RUN

“Boss, can I talk to you about something?” hope asked

“Sure thing, Hope,” Dean said

“I'll be out there in a minute,” Dean said

“Okay, no problem.” hope said

Jessy walks out of the office and gets to work. I know she was talking about herself when she told her harmless joke, which was for real. Jessy has been in love with Dean since they were kids. I want my daughter happy and to get her chance before it's too late.

“Dean, I know you were talking about Jessy, why don't you ask her out instead of getting all these flavors of the night?” I said.

“Because I know she doesn't like me like that,” Dean said.

“You never know until you ask her,” I said.

“I want to be with her, but she's my best friend. “Dean said.

“That's the best thing for a relationship to start as best friends. I said.

“I know, Hun, but if you love her this much, don't wait too long. She is a beautiful girl that won't be single for too long.” I said.

“I know. I'm working on it.” Dean said.

“Okay, I'm going to get to work now. Holler if you need us.” I said.

I went and did my orders. But what threw me off is I don't see Jessy anywhere. That's not like her to leave and not say anything. Something is off and I don't like it.

“Hey Jake, have you seen my daughter?” I said.

“Some guys took her outback, and they needed to talk to her,” Jake said.

“Did you happen to get a name?” I asked.

“No, I'm sorry. Is she going to be, okay?” Jake asked.

“I don't know, I have to go get Dean,” I said.

“Dean, I need your help, please? Jessy got kidnapped.” I said.

“Come on, let's go look outback. Hope to go back inside and call for help.” Dean said.

“Jessy, can you hear me? Jessy, I need you to wake up, please? Don't leave me, Jessy. I need you and your mom needs you. Please, Jessy, Wake up. I love you, Jessy, it's always been you.” Dean said.

"I called for help," I said.

“JESSY oh no, no not my baby, please wake up!!” I said

“This is my fault he found us again,” I said.

“Who found you two again?” Dean asked.

“James's brother. He didn't want James to have kids with me, but it happened anyway. James was so happy to know he was having a baby girl. But he had to leave on a business trip to Italy. That's when chance blackmailed me to leave and not come back.” I said

I tried to find James but had no luck. Please help me. James' brother broke us apart because he couldn't get his way with me. He had a thing for me for a while now, but James is the only one, I love and still do. But James wanted what was best for me and Jessy. I have to find him, Dean.” I said.

“We will, and where is the ambulance? Hope we are going to drive her to the hospital.” Dean said.

“Okay, get us there alive in one piece,” I said.

We made it to the hospital in one piece, thank God.

“SOMEONE HELP US, MY DAUGHTER HURT BADLY!!” I yelled

“Let's get her to the O.R. Fast, we don't have time, people.” the doctor said.

“Ma'am, she will be okay. We are the best hospital in the United States.” the doctor said.

“Please help my baby,” I said.

“We will do our best to save her life.” the doctor said.

“Thank you, Sir,” I said.

We sat in the waiting room to hear if Jessy was going to make it or not.

“Hope I'm going to see if I can find James, do you need anything?” Dean asked.

“No, thank you, dean, find James,” I said

“A few minutes later the door opened, and I saw the doctor. “Jenkins family?” the doctor said.

“Yes, I'm her mother. How is she?” I said.

“I'm sorry she slipped into a coma, but she is stable. She has broken ribs and she has broken arms. Who would do this to her?” the doctor asked.

“Her father's brother. He hates us so much.” I said.

“I'm sorry you and your daughter have to go through this.” the doctor said.

“Thank you, doctor. Can I see her?” I asked.

“Yes ma'am. I will take you to her.” the doctor said.

“Thank you,” I said.

“Anytime if you need anything, push the button, and we come running. Good night, ma'am,” the doctor said.

“Good night doctor.” I sit next to Jessy's bed and hold her hand as I drift off to sleep. 

Nick will pay for this, and he will suffer. Jessy didn't do anything to him. All he wants is to make me feel the pain he is in because I didn't choose him over James. Now he has messed with the wrong family, and I will make sure he knows he's not going to make us run anymore.

He better pray that Jessy pulls through because not only he will deal with me, he will deal with James and Dean. If Nick had left Jessy alone and come looking for me instead, my daughter wouldn't be in this hospital bed. He had to prove a point that he is watching us and almost killed us in the process.

Jessy never knew about this life; only her father can tell her who she is and why she was being hidden from this world. James only wanted her to live her life normal and not worry about the Mafia. James has to tell her before it's too late. I called Dean to see if they found him yet. Then the dean said no, but they were at the hotel he is at as we speak.

Dean said he's on the phone with Nick, and he's not very happy to find out his daughter is in the hospital because of him. Dean said we should be back in about an hour or so. I let him know Jessy's hooked up to a breathing machine to help her breathe thank you, Dean. I will see you soon.
