She clenched on the floor as she held his head. A blood smile stretched across his face. But she cried even more. How and why was this happening to her and her family? Moses was pacing around the living room. His wife sat on the couch with her hands on the sides of her temple—her gun in hand. She looked scared, worried. Could it be that she was guilty about shooting Mateo? But she was heartless, at least that was what Trevor and Eliza thought. Trevor was soothing Eliza as she cried, looking at the body of her brother on the floor. What would she tell her mother and grandmother? What would they even think about her and Trevor now? They both went running to the living room. And then hit a stop after seeing Mateo on the floor. “Trevor!” Eliza screamed and rushed to hug Trevor. “Mateo! What will I tell our mother? The next morning, he woke up and found Eliza wasn’t in bed. And suddenly his heart skipped. He jumped and rushed out of the bedroom, shouting her name. When he couldn’t find her inside, he rushed outside the house. Shouting and hoping she was still alive. How could he allow her to be kidnapped again? How could she have been kidnapped again?
