Chapter 31 : Then, Where is He Now?

Jonathan entered and stepped closer to Benjamin's bed. Meanwhile, the young man who was lying down remained silent. He felt awkward as well as guilty for hating Jonathan due to the expulsion that had happened years ago.

"Why have you arrived so late at night, Sir?" asked Joseph. Before Jonathan could answer, the servant pointed to the sofa. "It would be better if you sit down first, Sir," he offered politely, with a smile.

Jonathan nodded and smiled awkwardly, while Benjamin remained silent, observing his father's face intently.

"Sir, shouldn't you come and sit with us on the sofa?" Joseph asked Benjamin, who now nodded. He got up and joined his father on the sofa. Facing him like this made him feel a little self-conscious.

"Shouldn't you be sitting with us, Joseph?" Jonathan asked the senior servant who had been standing by the sofa.

"I'm more comfortable standing, Sir," he replied reluctantly.

"It's okay Joseph, just sit down," Benjamin said, patting the surface of the empty ch
