Calista declared haughtily, “Listen, my family has already decided to form a marriage alliance with the Huber family.”

“My future husband is the most qualified candidate to manage Noorhaven.”

She shook her head. “Not you!”

The smile on Calista’s lips widened as she envisioned the luxurious life she would enjoy in the future.

“Soon, he will take over the entire administration of Noorhaven.”

She smiled proudly.

“With that, I’m certain Noorhaven’s GDP will easily surpass 30 trillion within the next year.”

Then, her gaze sharpened as it fell upon Rael.

She spoke with arrogance, “And you, enjoy the darkness of the dungeon for the rest of your life.”

She smirked disdainfully.

“Instead of worrying about Noorhaven, you’d better worry about yourself.”

"Noorhaven no longer needs you."

With that, an officer stepped forward and pulled out a pair of handcuffs.

Deep down, Rael realized that Calista’s family had been planning this for a long time, and escaping from their grasp would not be easy.

Even so, Rael didn’t bother to resist or run away.

For Rael, who had devoted four years of his life to Noorhaven, this moment felt like the perfect opportunity to rest.

He cast a cold gaze at the officers standing on either side of him.

Raising one hand, he signaled for them to step aside.

He could walk on his own without restraints.

In an instant, the two officers felt an unusual sense of dominance emanating from Rael.

They couldn't help but shudder as cold beads formed on their forehead.

It wasn’t until Rael have walked out that the two officers realized he was gone.

Then they rushed after Rael without bothering to handcuff him like a criminal anymore.

Meanwhile, Calista watched Rael’s figure grow smaller in the distance with a satisfied smile.

She believed he had been completely captured and would face a miserable fate for the rest of his life.

Excitedly, she called her father.

“Hello, Dad, everything is settled and went smoothly.”

Her smile grew wider.

“Yes, I mean Rael has already been arrested by the police.”

The man on the other end of the line laughed heartily.

“Well done! You truly are my daughter!”

Calista beamed with pride. “Sure, Dad.”

She scoffed.

“What annoyed me was how narcissistic he was, thinking Noorhaven owed him everything.”

Oberon replied with a sneer.

“He’s just trying to manipulate you into regretting letting him go, sweetheart.”

“Don’t listen to him! He’s not worth your time!”

Oberon then continued,  “Listen, sweetheart, I have some good news for you.”

"Tonight, Young Master Mathis Huber will arrive in Stonebridge. They’ve requested you to pick him up."

Calista’s eyes widened with excitement.

"Really? Oh… Dad, I can’t wait to meet him."

Oberon nodded.

"Of course. I’m also eager to meet my future son-in-law."

He continued, "The Huber family is highly influential in the capital. I’m confident that once you marry him, you’ll live an extraordinary life."

Calista chuckled lightly.

"Sure, Dad. You won’t be disappointed in him."

She added with disdain, "Compared to Rael, Mathis is a hundred times better!"

Oberon raised an eyebrow.

"A hundred times? You’re being far too generous to your ex, sweetheart."

Scoffing, he remarked, "The difference between them is like Earth and Sky. How could Mathis be only a hundred times better than Rael?"

Calista laughed softly.

"You’re right, Dad! Mathis surpasses Rael in every possible way!"

Meanwhile, as the police car came to a halt, Rael stepped out without sparing a glance behind him.

The two officers stared after him, baffled.

Rael’s demeanor and unhurried stride were far too composed for someone accused of heinous crimes.

Rather than a criminal, Rael resembled a powerful boss walking into his own office.

Upon entering the police station, Rael sat calmly.

Then, he spoke with measured authority, "Please inform the police chief that I’d like to meet with him."

The officers exchanged disdainful glances.

"Who do you think you are, ordering us around?"

To them, a criminal had no business giving commands to law enforcement.

By their logic, Rael should have been pleading for mercy, desperate to avoid punishment.

Instead, he had the audacity to request an audience with the police chief.

Rael didn’t appear angry.

Instead, he spoke calmly.

“Whether you call the police chief for me or not doesn’t matter to me. But it might matter to you.”

There was no denying that Rael’s words put the two young officers under huge pressure.

Especially when they saw Rael taking out his wrist watch and scrolled to a phone number.

They quickly left Rael to summon the police chief.

A minute later, Police Chief Joel Myers rushed in.

His body shivered with fear as he saw Rael calmly seated in the police station lobby, waiting for him.

The sight immediately triggered memories of Rael’s legendary exploits, particularly the time he infiltrated the dangerous Viper cartel’s drug operation in Velthorn Town.

That place was infamously perilous and had claimed the lives of many of Noorhaven’s best secret agents.

Yet, Rael not only returned unscathed but also single-handedly dismantled the cartel, transforming Velthorn into a safe town and rescuing an injured agent in the process.

There was no denying it—Rael’s remarkable success in what seemed like an impossible mission had amazed high-ranking officials across Noorhaven’s Department of Public Security.

They admired his methods, considering them nothing short of miraculous.

Make sure you report to me if you see any movement from Lord Vinsion’s subordinates. If there are any.”They all nodded in unison. “Understood.”Not long after, news of the illegal immigrants’ entry quickly spread because many officials who had previously worked under Rael had either resigned or been dismissed. As a result, Nymbrial County was understaffed to handle urgent matters like this. The news soon reached Oberon and Mathis.Oberon’s eyebrows furrowed deeply. “Illegal immigrant? How is that even possible?”Mathis’s expression also showed concern. After all, during the four

He completely lost his appetite. Clenching his teeth in frustration, his fury boiled over. The officials' demands to release Rael and their threats of a work strike had truly pushed Oberon's patience to its limit."Fine. If they want to strike or even resign!""I don't care!""In fact, this is an excellent opportunity for Noorhaven to get rid of Rael's loyalists and replace them with new officials who are more open-minded and willing to cooperate with me!""The notion that Noorhaven cannot function properly without Rael is utterly ridiculous!"As Oberon envisioned replacing the officials with talente

The smile on Mathis’ face reflected his newfound optimism, as if he could hit Rael away like a fly.Oberon nodded.“For now, I’ve already sent my men to investigate the officials who have complaints about Rael.”“To regain your energy, I think you should rest early.”Mathis nodded in agreement.“Sure.”He then retreated to his bedroom. After a long and exhausting day, Mathis felt he needed time to recharge and prepare himself for the challenges of tomorrow.Even so, as he lay on his bed, Mathis couldn’t stop thinking about Rael.“That bastard…”“At least you’re rotting in the dungeon, living a miserable life!”Mathis tried to comfort himself, and the thought of Rael being imprisoned lifted his spirits.Ho

After thinking for quite a while, Oberon finally had an idea.“Mr. Huber, I have an idea!”Lucan stared sharply at Oberon.“Speak!”Oberon quickly explained, “To divert the officials’ attention from the misunderstanding at Rael’s warehouses, we need to create news that will ruin Rael’s reputation!”“I’ll make the public aware that Rael often uses his dark powers to oppress capable officials and prevent them from getting promotions.”“Meanwhile, he allows incompetent officials to retain their positions!”According to Oberon, Rael had always been known for his good reputation because he had done many good deeds. Therefore, exposing Rael’s true face to the public was the right step to destroy their trust in him.Additionally, this diversion would also make the public aware that Rael had been hindering the country’s growth.Oberon’s previously pale face started to shine with optimism.“One more thing. The sharp words from the official on the other end of the line slowly erased the smile from Lucan’s face.Shaking his head in frustration, Lucan retorted, “Are you so envious of Mathis’s accomplishments at such a young age that you resort to making false accusations against him?”In short, Lucan trusted Mathis more than the official on the phone.“You shouldn’t believe everything on TV just because it’s aired there!”The official sneered, “You shouldn’t blindly trust Mathis either!”“I understand he’s your son. But does a father simply stand by when his son does something wrong?”“Let me make one thing clear to you, Mr. Huber. I’m not saying this out of jealousy, as you’ve accused!”“But because the state of Noorhaven has already sent evidence to the capital!”“Every official in the capital now knows about the fraudulent actions of your son!”Without waiting for Lucan’s response, the official ended the call abruptly. The harsh manner of the official left Lucan stunned, speechless for

I am Aiden Russell, a reporter from Nooria News Channel.”With a professional smile, Aiden asked again, “So, is it true that Rael Vinsion is involved in a massive embezzlement case?”The bank staff did not immediately answer the reporter's question. Instead, he simply handed over an envelope that was in his hand to the reporter. Aiden took the envelope with a confused expression.“Are you trying to bribe me so I won’t report this case?”The bank staff's face turned sour, and he replied, “Just open the envelope. You’ll find out what’s really going on here.”Although hesitant, Aiden finally opened the envelope in his hand. The reporter's eyes narrowed when he saw that the envelope
