The Lamborghini continued tearing down the highway, its engine roaring as Mark pushed it beyond its limits. The speedometer hovered near 500 km/h, but the vehicle was beginning to show signs of the punishment.The entire car vibrated violently. The steering wheel shook beneath Mark’s hands, forcing him to tighten his grip as he struggled to keep the vehicle straight. Even the slightest movement threatened to send the Lamborghini veering off course.Beside him, Elara was being tossed against her seat by every sudden movement. She clutched the door handle, her face pale with terror.“Mark! Slow down!” she screamed. “You’re going to kill us!”He ignored her, keeping his eyes fixed on the road.“MARK! PLEASE!”“Will you shut up?!” he snapped.Just then, Mark spotted headlights approaching from the opposite direction. A vehicle was coming straight toward them.His eyes widened.“Shit!”Elara saw it too. Her entire body stiffened as the distance between the two vehicles rapidly disappeared.

Kade watched the Lamborghini surge forward, his jaw tightening.“Has that bastard gone insane?”The speed displayed on the Lamborghini’s dashboard was already beyond what any ordinary driver should attempt. At that velocity, even a minor mistake could send the car spinning out of control. One wrong turn, one poorly judged corner, and Elara could lose her life.Kade couldn’t afford to let that happen.I need to get Elara out of that car before he kills both of them.He pressed the accelerator harder. His own speed climbed rapidly, but his car could only reach a maximum of 350 km/h. It wasn’t enough to catch the Lamborghini while Mark continued pushing it beyond its limits.Still, Kade wasn’t an ordinary driver.He kept his eyes on the road, his hands moving with remarkable precision. Mark drove through the night with one hand on the steering wheel, occasionally glancing at Elara. She sat stiffly in the passenger seat, her eyes darting between him and the road. Every time she considered reaching for the door handle, she remembered how violently he had reacted at the house.Then, without warning, Mark began singing.“♪ Oh, my darling, don’t you cry. “No! Let me go! Where are you taking me?!”Elara struggled desperately as Mark dragged her by the arm toward the front door. She tried pulling away, digging her heels into the floor, but his grip was too strong. No matter how hard she fought, she couldn’t break free.“Stop struggling,” Mark snapped. “You’re making a simple trip unnecessarily difficult.”“You’re insane! Let me go!”He ignored her protests and dragged her outside. The moment they stepped into the driveway, Mark stopped. His attention had shifted to the Lamborghini parked nearby, its sleek body reflecting the security lights.A smile slowly spread across his face.“So the rumours were true,” he remarked, releasing a small laugh. “You really did win the latest Lamborghini at the auction.”He walked around the car, admiring it for a moment before looking back at Elara.“Not bad, sweetheart. I suppose we should take this to our honeymoon.”“Don’t you dare!” Elara snapped, trying to pull her arm free again.Mark ignored her.

Mark began counting on his fingers, his voice growing louder with every word. “I’m richer than him. My family is more influential than his. I have businesses, properties, connections! I can give you anything you want. Anything! And what does that man have? He’s a nobody who runs around pretending to be your protector!” He stopped pacing and stared at her. “Is that what you like? His muscles? His stupid face? The way he walks around acting like he owns the world?” Elara tried to pull her trapped arm free. “You’re sick, Mark.” For a moment, he said nothing. Then he burst into laughter. “I’m sick?” He pointed at himself, laughing harder. “Did you hear that? She thinks I’m sick!” His laughter stopped as abruptly as it had started. His expression hardened, and he stepped toward her. “You know what, Elara? I think you’ve been spending too much time with him. He’s filled your head with nonsense.
