Tian Chen stepped out after changing his clothes, and instantly the air around him changed. If he had previously looked like an ordinary boy, now he transformed into a much more mature and authoritative figure. Although he was only thirteen years old, his appearance reflected an eighteen-year-old youth who was handsome and charismatic.

The clothes that now clung to his body were more luxurious and elegant, framing his posture perfectly. Every stitch was meticulously crafted, showcasing undeniable luxury and authority. The soft fabric colors blended with intricate patterns characteristic of prominent families, as if hinting that this young man was no ordinary person. Even without introducing himself, anyone who saw him would think he was the son of a nobleman or a great leader.

His hair was neatly styled, gleaming under the dim light. His face, which had been handsome since childhood, was now even more defined—a strong jawline, a prominent nose, and sharp eyes that contained intelligence and an aura of power. Every detail of his expression showed a deep calmness, as if nothing in this world could shake his confidence.

However, it wasn't just his appearance that was striking. The aura surrounding him had also changed drastically. If he had previously been just a boy, now every step he took radiated extraordinary authority. His movements were calm, full of confidence, as if the world was in his grasp. His gaze was firm yet captivating, radiating an attraction that was hard to ignore.

Healer Siyo, who stood beside him, observed this change with a look that was hard to interpret. As a mother, she certainly knew that her son had extraordinary potential, but seeing him in this state still surprised her. In an instant, her memories drifted to the figure of the man who had made her fall in love—someone who had a similar aura, full of greatness and unshakeable firmness.

"Chen'er, Mother is truly surprised to see you," said Healer Siyo, her voice containing feelings that were difficult to explain. There was admiration, but also a little regret. "Forgive Mother for not being able to provide you with suitable clothes all this time. If you had worn clothes like this since you were young, maybe when you came down from the mountain, you wouldn't have received such bad treatment from the children of the nobility. Because in truth, you are far more charismatic than them."

There was no change in Tian Chen's expression as he heard those words. He remained calm, as they were affected by praise or regret. His voice was flat, but it had a weight that was hard to ignore. "Mother, there's no need to think about unnecessary things. You have been the best for me."

Healer Siyo smiled faintly, although there was a hint of sadness hidden behind it. She knew that her son was no longer a little boy whom she could protect forever. Tian Chen had grown into someone who was independent, strong, and unshakable by other people's opinions.

Without saying more, they begin down the hill, leaving their secluded dwelling. Their destination was the Imperial Palace, a place that was very far from there.

For Healer Siyo, distance was not a problem. With her power, she could actually reach the Empire in a matter of hours, without having to take a long journey. However, there was a reason why she chose not to do so. She wanted to hide her strength, as well as give Tian Chen a chance to grow through real experiences.

For her, protecting Tian Chen was not about keeping him away from danger, but about letting him face the world and become stronger. Because she knew, someday, her son would stand at the top of the world—not as someone who was protected, but as someone who conquered everything.

***

When they arrived at the village, having just left the hill on the slopes of Mount Salke, Healer Siyo and Tian Chen were immediately greeted by hundreds of soldiers from the Sampong Kingdom. The line of soldiers stood in a regular formation, their spears raised with sharp eyes fixed on the mother and son.

At the front of the line, a large, middle-aged man stood with his arms crossed. The king's robe he wore fluttered in the wind, a golden crown adorning his head. His gaze was full of arrogance, as if victory was already in his hands.

“Healer Siyo, you've finally come down. I've been waiting here for a long time,” said King Sampong with a tone full of arrogance.

Tian Chen, who stood beside his mother, could feel the strong aura emanating from the man's body. With his experience and fighting instincts, he immediately realized that King Sampong was a fifth-grade titled martial artist, one level higher than him.

However, even though the level difference was real, there was no fear in him at all. Instead, his eyes narrowed, his expression becoming colder.

Healer Siyo smiled faintly, almost like a mockery. The hundreds of soldiers surrounding her didn't make her flinch, let alone sweat.

"King Sampong, it just so happens that I also want to meet you," she said in a calm but piercing voice. "I want to ask, why do you keep ordering people to make trouble at my house?"

Hearing that question, King Sampong snorted coldly. He folded his arms across his chest, his facial expression becoming even more arrogant.

“Healer Siyo, don't pretend to be stupid! Your son killed my son. How could I, as his father, just sit back and relax!” Anger was evident in his tone. “Now, hand over your son! Maybe I can still spare your life!”

"Oh..." Healer Siyo smiled, but her eyes were sharp, piercing to the very soul. “King Sampong, you are just a small figure in the Tang Empire. Even your kingdom is still under the rule of a second-class kingdom. But your arrogance… even surpasses the high officials of the Empire."

She looked at King Sampong as if she was looking at a clown who was bragging. Then, her voice lowered slightly, but the firmness in it did were diminish in the least.

"I warn you. Get out of the way… before you regret it later.”

Healer Siyo's words made King Sampong's face turn dark. He couldn't accept those words, especially since they came from a woman.

"Damn bitch!" he yelled rudely. "Don't think that just because you have a pretty face, you can talk to me however you want! I won't be tempted by your beauty!"

His gaze was full of contempt. "And just remember, even though you have connections with the royal officials, you are nobody in front of me!"

However, King Sampong didn't realize that he had just touched the limit of someone he shouldn't have challenged.

WHOOSSHH!!!

Without warning, Tian Chen's body shot out like a shadow. His steps were so light and fast, they were almost impossible to follow with the naked eye.

In an instant, he was in the middle of the royal soldiers.

Several soldiers reacted, drawing their spears to block him. But, Tian Chen just narrowed his eyes, his hand reached for the hilt of his sword, and in one motion…

SASH!

The spears that were pointed at him were split into several pieces. At the same time, his sword energy shot out, beheading the soldiers who stood in his way.

Blood sprayed into the air.

It all happened so quickly that most of the soldiers hadn't even had time to react.

They could only watch in horror as the bodies of their friends fell one by one, unable to let out a scream.

When Tian Chen was close enough to King Sampong, four second-grade titled martial artists immediately moved to stop him.

However, they didn't even have time to draw their weapons.

SWOOSH!

Tian Chen moved like lightning, his sword flashing at an unseen speed.

In an instant, the four martial artists were cut into several pieces, their blood spraying onto the ground.

Even before their lives could realize death, their bodies had become scattered fragments of flesh.

BAANG!!!

Tian Chen jumped, landing on the royal carriage used by King Sampong.

The carriage, adorned with gold carvings, was shattered in one blow.

Fortunately, King Sampong managed to jump to the back, avoiding the destruction of his carriage.

But, his body trembled. He could no longer hide the fear that was creeping into his soul.

He saw dozens of his soldiers slaughtered in a short time, four second-grade titled martial artists he trusted died just like that…

And it was all done by a little kid!

The remaining soldiers retreated in fear. They didn't even dare to look at Tian Chen directly anymore.

On the other hand, King Sampong's body began to sweat cold.

“Y-You…” his lips trembled. "You dare kill my people?! Just so you know, even though I'm just the king of a small kingdom, I'm still a Tang Imperial official! With your actions, you will invite the wrath of His Majesty!"

Tian Chen looked at him coldly, his lips curling up slightly.

“Enough of your nonsense.”

Tian Chen's voice sounded low, but it contained a pressure that made King Sampong even paler.

"You have dared to insult my mother..."

His eyes sharpened, and at that moment, the atmosphere around them changed drastically.

"... then it's not just a small king like you."

He raised his sword, its sharp aura shaking the air.

"Even gods I will destroy!"

WHOOSSHH!!!

Tian Chen shot back towards King Sampong.

Realizing that Tian Chen really wanted to kill him, King Sampong finally drew his own sword.

However, as he swung his sword to parry Tian Chen's attack…

CLANG!!!

His sword broke in two!

King Sampong's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Impossible!" his voice trembled. "How can my sword… be so fragile?!"

Tian Chen didn't care. He had already sheathed his sword.

For an opponent like this, he didn't need a sword.

With a speed that was impossible to follow with the naked eye, he punched King Sampong.

BAANG!!!

One hard blow struck King Sampong's fist, crushing it into a scattering powder of flesh in the air.

King Sampong was thrown back to the ground, rolling and screaming hysterically like a pig being slaughtered.

"This is impossible!" he roared. "I'm a fifth-grade martial artist! How could I lose like this?!"

Tian Chen didn't answer.

WHOOSSHH!!!

In one leap, he landed on King Sampong's thigh, crushing his bone.

Then, he slapped King Sampong's face repeatedly until it was no longer recognizable.

After he was satisfied, he grabbed King Sampong's neck and dragged him in front of Healer Siyo.

His voice sounded like a final judgment.

“Kneel before my mother. If you don't, it's not just you who will die, but I will send your entire family to hell!”

Tian Chen offered a small smile. That smile was not to boast, but to ease the hearts of his two seniors. “Senior sisters, don’t ask too many questions at once. For now, focus on recovering from your injuries. As for me, I’m fine. And the turtle…” Tian Chen slowly lifted his right hand. His finger pointed in a direction. They both followed the direction of Tian Chen’s finger. The corpse of the giant turtle, over a hundred meters long, lay motionless there. Its enormous body was no longer moving. The lightning that had once covered its body had faded, and its shell, which once shone like steel, was now cracked, marked with a deep wound from the sword that had pierced through its head. Wenli and Dantai Yinyi fell silent for a moment. Not a single word was spoken. Their gazes remained fixed, unblinking, on the turtle’s corpse lying in the middle of the battlefield. They were deeply shocked. How could they not be? That turtle had managed to resist dozens of their high-powered runes.

The giant turtle noticed the change in Tian Chen’s aura, but its gaze remained arrogant. Lightning danced wildly across its entire body, creating an electrical dome that surrounded it. Its hard shell reflected the flashes, adding to the sense that no attack could harm it. Tian Chen raised his sword high. Fwooshh!!! The golden flames coating the sword did not simply burn; they solidified, forming a complex structure. The energy within it condensed and then moved under Tian Chen’s will, creating seven vortexes that gradually shifted into the silhouettes of dragons. Seven golden flame dragons appeared simultaneously around Tian Chen. Their sizes differed, but each carried a ferocious gaze, with fiery scales rippling like waves of heat. They circled through the air, then aimed at a single point. Tian Chen did not announce the name of the technique. But anyone watching would know — the Nirvana Flame Sword Slash. Time seemed to slow for a moment. The seven golden flame dragons shot f

The giant turtle had not only succeeded in destroying Tian Chen’s sword energy, but also managed to break free from the chains binding it. A loud cracking sound rang out as the restraints shattered like thin threads under the pressure of absolute power. The stone pillars that had anchored the binding formation now trembled violently, and several even cracked through their centers. Wenli and Dantai Yinyi did not stand idle. Both of them immediately threw more runes into the air. Their movements were fast and resolute, showing they were no longer holding back their strength. They had not expected a peak-stage eighth-grade beast to possess such overwhelming power, but the reality before them left no room for carelessness. “Yinyi!” Wenli’s shout echoed through the gaps between the trees that had survived the previous shockwave. Dantai Yinyi turned her head at once and nodded, as if she fully understood the meaning of that call. There was no need for explanation. They had worked togethe

Both of them had concealed their cultivation using a special treasure, only displaying the aura of a third-rank Qi Guardian. Normally, an ordinary disciple should not have been able to see the depth of their cultivation. “Junior, in the future, you should learn how to choose your words,” said Dantai Yinyi. Her face still carried a smile, but her gaze contained a gentle pressure. Tian Chen paused for a moment, then replied seriously, “Senior, did I say something wrong?” “You were not wrong, but when someone hides their cultivation, it means they do not wish others to know. Even if you can see through it, it is enough to keep it to yourself. There is no need to say it out loud.” Wenli stopped Dantai Yinyi with a small hand gesture and a calm voice full of meaning. “Enough. Our priority now is to defeat that turtle. I didn’t expect to immediately run into an eighth-grade beast that has already reached the late stage. That turtle is only a step away from breaking through to the ninth-

Wenli stared sharply, her voice unchanged but growing heavier. “Junior, we are not saying this to scare you, but it is reality. Even the only power among the Four Continents that develops artifact-forging skills — the Sacred Armament Villa, on the border of the Xuantie Continent — could not forge a Universe Ring.” Tian Chen frowned. A question instantly rose in his mind, and he did not hide it. “Senior, isn’t there no single force standing in Xuantie Continent? That continent is only filled with forbidden places and ancient tombs, right?” Wenli smiled kindly, without arrogance. Her gaze remained calm. “That is correct. But the Sacred Armament Villa is different. Although they are located on the Xuantie Continent, the Villa does not rule the Continent. They only stand as an independent power apart from the other three continents. Nearly every power on each continent tries to maintain good relations with the Sacred Armament Villa so they can purchase weapons from them.” Tian Chen lis

Tian Chen continued walking, without stopping, like a shadow of death crossing the boundary between the human world and the beasts. Everywhere he passed, the wild creatures that sensed his presence immediately charged forward, only to fall one after another. Some were sliced in half, their bodies split before they could even scream. Others had their eyes pierced before they could lift their claws. There was no grand technique. No shouted name of a move. Only the black sword with golden dragon patterns, dancing in Tian Chen’s hands, chopping and slashing as if cutting vegetables. Spinal spikes, scale armor, even the iron-like hide of Stoneback Turtles, could not withstand the sharp tip of his weapon. Blood pooled. The metallic scent filled the air. Within half an hour, more than two hundred sixth-grade beasts lay dead. Their corpses spread out like a crimson carpet for a king of slaughter. The ground beneath them changed color, soaking up the hot blood that had yet to congeal. The su
