After Rosalie left, Venturo turned to Adam. "I never wanted to stay in the hospital and I had planned to run away tonight but now I think I wouldn't go anywhere".

"See! Told you you're gonna love the doctor". Adam chuckled.

Venturo sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "It's not that".

"Then what?". Adam asked.

"She is Rhea". Venturo replied.

"Her name's Rosalie". Adam said.

"Abigail changed her name to keep her safe.. but I know that she's Rhea". Venturo responded.

"Although I'm a guy of infinite abilities, but I don't understand what you say". He rolled his eyes.

"Her eyes were just the same as the baby I saw when I traveled back in time. Her dimpled cheeks and chin are like Uncle Hendrick and did you saw that lioness look in her eyes, just like Uncle.. and her smile is like Aunt Abigail.. I remember watching her smile when she lifted up her daughter in her arms for the first time". Venturo explained.

"Okay.. I'll follow her to make sure". Adam gave a nod.

"It's your duty to protect her until I get out of this bed". Venturo smiled.

"What about running away?". Adam asked.

"Something tells me I'm gonna love being here". Venturo smirked.

"So you agree that she's pretty apart from the fact that she's Rhea". Adam teased him.

"You wanna hear a yes?". Venturo asked with a smile.

"Uhuh". Adam nodded.

"She's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen". Venturo leaned back with a satisfied sigh.

"Talk to me, Rose". Kian followed Rosalie in the corridor as she prepared to go after her shift was over.

"I wanna go home". Rosalie replied.

"I promise it won't be long". Kian said.

She sighed and turned around, looking at her wrist watch. "You've got one minute".

Kian sighed. "I don't know why you dated him but I feel awful and jealous about it, Rose.. I want you to stay away from him--".

"And stay close to you?". She cocked her eyebrow.

"You were never this cold before, Rose".

"Thirty seconds". Rosalie said.

"Why are you behaving like this?". Kian asked.

"I like you too, Kian.. but God didn't wanted us to be together so I just happened to get a wrong idea of a whole BEST FRIENDS REUNION.. and ended up dating Benji.. maybe he's good for me but I've successfully ignored him the whole day and I won't date him again.. Love isn't for me". She turned around.

"If you like me back, then we can be together, Rose". Kian grabbed her wrist.

She looked back at him. "I don't want it anymore".

"Why?". Kian questioned again.

"Your time's up". Rosalie said and left.

Adam was spectating the whole scene from a corner. Kian watched Rosalie go.. he stood there for a while and then went towards his office. Adam followed Rosalie. He saw her talking to Ross at the exit.

He heard the word 'Daddy' and smirked.

She and Ross sat in the car and drove away. Adam sped up and followed them till they pulled up in front of a house. Ross got out of the car and waved goodbye to Rosalie. She drove away as soon as Ross entered the house.

Adam took out his phone. "I'm not a fan of technology but..". He clicked a picture of the address. "..it comes handy sometimes". With that, he left for the hospital again.

"Her name's Doctor Rosalie White.. daughter of Ross White who's a doctor too". Adam told

"You mean so-called daughter". Venturo laughed as he ate grapes, sitting up on the hospital bed.

"Yeah yeah". Adam gave a nod. "So, she's a senior doctor_even though she's quite young_at the neurology department of this hospital".

"Good to know". Venturo nodded and looked out of the window.

"I got Ross's address". Adam waved his phone in front of his face victoriously.

"I appreciate your help, Adam.. I couldn't have done it with out you". Venturo smiled.

"OFCOURSE you wouldn't!". Adam exclaimed.

Venturo kept on looking at him with a smile.

"I have another mission to accomplish today". Adam smirked. "And that's getting that ice cream".

"Details, Adam". Venturo smiled.

"Oh yeah! So, I was eavesdropping on Rosalie's and A Doctor named Kian's conversation last night. They were arguing about why Rosalie dated a Doctor named Benji.. she was as cold as ice, Venturo.. I was getting chills". Adam told.

"Okay.. Rosalie is Abigail's daughter whom she gave to Bianca and Ross White to raise. She did it to protect her from.. us. And she is having problems in her love life". Venturo connected all the dots.

"Yep". Adam gave a nod. "That's all the information I was able to gather yesterday".

"That's a lot, Adam.. thank you". Venturo replied.

"What are we gonna do now?". Adam asked.

"Protect her till we get out of this hospital". Venturo looked up at the ceiling. "Stay with her like her shadow".

Adam gave a nod.

"Why don't you want us to be together?". Kian followed Rosalie into the mortuary.

She kept on walking. "Everything's a mess, Kian.. I promise I won't date Benji again if that bothers you but I can't be with you as well because that'll ruin our friendship and I don't want that to happen".

"Nothing will change". Kian said.

Rosalie turned to him. "I had a crush on you, Kian.. It's not that I loved you..".

"I don't understand.. This is bullshit". Kian said a bit loudly.

Rosalie turned to him, swiftly putting a small knife on his neck, pushing him back to a wall.

"What the heck are you doing?". Kian grunted.

"I'm telling you one last time, don't _ ruin_ our_ friendship". She glared at him and backed off.

"If none of this happened, would you always keep on having a secret crush on me?". Kian questioned.

"Are you trying to say that I was jealous?". Rosalie smirked. "I wasn't jealous, Edwins. I dated Benji because I didn't knew how to refuse him".

"I don't know what to think anymore". Kian shook his head and left.

Rosalie entered Venturo's room with a smile on her face. His eyes were closed and was resting his head on the headboard. He slowly looked up, sensing someone's presence.

"Greetings". She said.

"Hello, Doctor". He tried to sit up straight, taking in her beauty and being mesmerized by her.

"How do you do?". She checked his file.

A nurse entered the room, followed by Adam.

"Oh hello, Doctor". He said with a grin, holding two ice creams.

"Hello, Adam". Rosalie smiled. "What's the date today, Carly?".

"Umm, April 14th". The nurse told.

"Hmm". She nodded. "Did you ran the tests?".

"Yes, Doctor". The nurse replied.

"Where are the reports". She shuffled through the file.

"I.. forgot to bring them from the lab". The nurse said embarrassingly.

"Ugh.. you should better go to Doctor Quinn for a treatment, Carly.. go and get them now, I'm waiting". Rosalie ordered.

"Yes, doctor". The nurse was expecting more embarrassment and anger but it never came. She grinned and went out.

Rosalie turned to Venturo and Adam. Venturo was staring at her with interest.

"Mr. Venturo?". She waved in front of his eyes.

"Huh?". He looked up and then blushed because he was caught red handed.

"Were you checking her out, bro?". Adam licked the ice cream, teasing him.

"I..". Venturo looked away.

Rosalie chuckled. "That happens often.. many patients DO stare at me .. and I HATE it.. but I guess I didn't minded you doing it".

"Are you single?". Adam asked.

Venturo glanced at him warningly.

"I.. yeah!". Rosalie gave a nod. "I am very very single.. why are you asking? You wanna ask me out, Mr. Adam".

"Me? Oh no! You're too much for me, I swear". Adam shrugged. "Although, Venturo can".

Venturo glared at Adam. He mumbled something.

"Oh really?". Rosalie acted surprised.

"Yes!". Adam winked at Venturo.

He cleared his throat. "Sorry, Doc.. my cousin's a bit out of his mind".

"Cousin?". Rosalie was excited to hear that they were cousin. "You two are quite close".

"Yes.. cousins usually are". Adam nodded.

"Hmm, I don't know because I don't have cousins". Rosalie replied.

The nurse entered the room, giving the reports to her. "Thank you, Carly". She checked them. "Nothing weird or unusual so far".

"So, he's okay?". Adam said.

"We'll wait another 24 hours". Rosalie grinned. "Adam, you can take your cousin out in the open for some fresh air, he'll feel better".

"Sure, Doctor". Adam gave a nod.

With that, she left the room.

Venturo watched her go with a small smile on his face.

"Someone's into that doctor". Adam said.

Venturo chuckled and shook his head. "Let's go out".

"Sure, but let's finish the ice cream first". Adam passed one of the ice creams to him.
