Richard stood still, his heart pounding fast. The words echoed in his head like thunder.

A kiss.

He stared at Sarah, unsure what to say. For a moment, he thought she was joking, but the calm and confident look on her face told him she wasn’t.

“I don’t understand,” he said slowly. “You mean you’ll give me the contract… if I kiss you?”

Richard's face went pale. He had tons of questions, but he didn't know where to begin or what questions to even ask. He waved his hands in the air, and immediately the waitress who waited on him before rushed toward his table. “Can I get your orders, sir?” she asked with a smile. “Get me a glass of whiskey,” Richard said immediately. The girl looked at Richard; she could see that he had another look entirely on his face. She walked away without making any comments. Not today.” He adjusted his seat and bent a bit. “But you can ask me one question. Just one.” Richard knew the question to ask. “The system—have you been giving me the task right from the start?” The man smiled. “That is a wise question, Richard. But the answer to that is no. The system was built specifically for you alone. I don't have any interference with it, although it acti

I am not sure if he is here for me… or because of me.”Dianne looked down, her fingers twisting nervously on her lap. “I shouldn’t have come here.
