"I asked a question. What's going on here?" The man, Mister Timothy, asked again, this time his voice was a bit raised. The receptionist immediately rushed to his side from behind the counter.

"I was attending to a guest when this homeless person walked in. He demanded for a Garden View apartment which is worth five thousand a week. I politely asked him to leave as it was clear as day he can't afford it, but he insisted and decided to make trouble. I was just about to call security before you walked in, Sir." The receptionist explained.

Although some of her words were twisted to suit her, none of the people present stepped out to clarify the matter. Richard on the other hand didn't mind it, he simply stood there with his hands in his trouser pockets, staring at the receptionist and the manager like he was watching a movie. To this nonchalant expression of his, the manager felt annoyed and decided to put him in his place.

"Young man, are you sure you can afford the apartment you just asked for?" Mister Timothy asked with a smile, but one could see it wasn't genuine.

"Of course, I won't be here if I wasn't sure." Richard replied casually.

"Young man, this is a reputable establishment, so I will give you a chance to proof your words.. but if you fail to do so, not only will I make you kneel and beg for forgiveness, but I will also make sure you crawl out of here on your hands and knees. Do you understand?" Mister Timothy said with the same smile.

"Yes, I agree, but what if I can afford it? What then will you do?" Richard asked, and for the first time since he entered the building, a smirk played on his face.

"I will certainly apologize to you, and even hand you an exclusive membership card which will give you 30% discount on future purchases in Sunset Agency." Mister Timothy said with a wave of his hand.

"That's good then." The smile on Richard's face grew, "Because I will be staying for two weeks." Richard then took out his bank card and turned to the receptionist, "Make the transfer, ten thousand, for two weeks."

Everyone gasped, not because the money was something they couldn't afford, but it came as a shock that Richard, dressed like a homeless man, was actually spending that much.

The receptionist scoffed, took the card and walked back to her counter, she ran the card on her machine. The 'ding' sound indicated the transfer was successful.

Silence!

Even the middle-aged man and the manager had to go over to the receptionist to verify that the transfer was really successful. They couldn't believe it.

Mister Timothy turned to Richard with an apologetic look in his eyes. He couldn't believe he had almost lost a client. In truth, he had been in his office, observing through the CCTV camera, from Richard's arrival in the reception, to the receptionist's request for Richard to leave. He hadn't actually come to resolve the issue, rather he was here to teach Richard a lesson and put him in his place.. but seeing that Richard wasn't poor as he had thought, his attitude had done a 360 degree U-turn, from proud to subservient.

Meanwhile Richard had a shock expression on his face as he stared at the system panel in front of him.

«Ding!

Congratulations to Host on unlocking one of the hidden features of the Trillionaire System.

Hidden Feature: Big Spender (Spend $10,000 or more at a time).

Reward: 10× rebate on all expenses (excluding gifts and donations).»

«Ding!

$10,000 × 10× rebate = $100,000.»

Just then, Richard felt his phone vibrate. He knew exactly the 100 grand had been sent to his account. He couldn't believe it, he just a hundred grand without even breaking a sweat.

'Big Spender huh?' A smile played on Richard's lips. But then the voice of the receptionist broke his reverie.

"I'm truly sorry for my attitude to you early."

Richard turned to her and saw her head bowed low, she also had a form and a pen.. which apparently could only be the guest registration form. He waved it aside and took the form and pen from her To Richard, what the receptionist had done was simply human nature, and certainly wasn't even up to par with what he's been enduring in the Warren Family Mansion.

Just then, the manager, Mister Timothy, stretched out his hand towards Richard, holding a gold colored card, "Here's the exclusive membership card, and once again, I am truly sorry for everything. We treat our guests equally, and I had actually come down to sort out this problem, and if it calms you, I will immediately fire this receptionist for disrespecting you.."

"No no no!" Richard waved his hand and told him not to do so. He could see the fear in the lady's eyes who was on the verge of losing her job. Richard knew that she will never mistreat anyone again as she has learned a lesson from this little drama.

"Can you show me to the apartment?" Richard said and handed the form back to the receptionist.

"Of course." Mister Timothy replied, then he turned around and signaled to a lady who was standing by the corner. She walked towards Richard.

"Follow me, Sir. I will show you to the apartment." She said in a honeyed voice.

FEW MINUTES LATER.

Richard was now inside his apartment. It was part of a three storey building. With two rooms and a master's bedroom, a kitchen, two toilets, and a moderate living room. His master's bedroom was facing a garden. Richard could see the empty wardrobe. He stared himself over in the mirror.

"Even though I don't plan on staying here for long, I have to go shopping as I can't keep walking around in worn-out clothes." Richard muttered, and just then..

«Ding!

Chain quest triggered.

#1: A Makeover (You are no longer the pauper you were. It's time for a makeover).

Requirement: New Clothes worth $5,000 and above.

#2: Win the bet between you and Mrs Kathleen Warren.

#3: Big Boss (Host can't be lazy and expect the system to fund him always).

Requirement: Start up your own company.»

Richard saw the quests on the system panel. He had just three words: "What the f**k??"

Just deep focus, like a man walking into fire with his head up.Behind him, Diane watched quietly.“You don’t have to look so calm,” she said softly. “It’s okay to show that you’re human.”He smiled faintly. “If I show them I’m afraid, they will feed on it.”She stepped closer. “And if you’re not afraid?”“Then they’ll try to make me afraid,” he replied.Downstairs, Victor was already on his third cup of coffee. • CHAPTER 133: Meeting In The Dark

Night wrapped the city in a thick, uneasy silence. The rain had stopped, but the streets were still wet, reflecting lights like broken mirrors. Cars moved slowly. People hurried under umbrellas. Nobody knew that, in one quiet corner of the city, two powerful forces were about to sit across from each other.Richard arrived first. The place was an old private lounge on the top floor of a hotel that no longer welcomed the public. It was clean, quiet, and empty, except for one table and two chairs facing each other. Soft yellow light hung from the ceiling. Thick curtains covered the windows.Victor had insisted on checking everything.“No listening devices. No hidden cameras. No extra staff,” Victor had said through the earpiece. “But remember, with men like Brian, the real danger is never in the room. It’s in what they already planned before they walked in.”Richard answered calmly, “I know.”He stood by the table, hands in his pockets, his face unreadable.A few minutes later, the door
