CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

“Out of the way you fools!” Marcos barked, but the six men in black suits were already out of the car and headed toward him with guns pointed at the car by the time he was done talking.

He had been forced to match the brakes, and while he waited to see what was happening, his heart started to beat at a fluctuating pace, making him really nervous.

“What the hell is this?” Marcos asked out loud, but there was no one to answer his question, even Sarah was as confused as he wa

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE “Take him away!” Ciro said to the men who dragged Marcos out of the scene. “Hey! Let go of me now! I am warning you! This won’t end well for all of you!” Marcos threatened while the men pushed him away toward the black cars. Sarah watched the men drag Marcos away, and then gradually, she felt a sudden relief that crept into her body. “Feisty!” Ciro said with a smile on his face, looking at Sarah wriggling her hand to ease the pain she felt from smacking Marcos on his strong face. “Is there anything else you would need Supreme Regent?” “Oh no, not at all Gregory, you may go now, I will take it up from here, thank you for a job well done,” Ciro said with a smile on his face and his eyes gazing upon Gregory. “Ok, Sir, I will be on my way now,” Gregory said, and then he turned almost immediately and walked toward the cars. Sarah watched him walk away, wondering what had happened right in her presence. Just then, the words hit her mind. “Supreme Regent?” She sa

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR “Please help me! Let’s take him to the hospital!” Sarah pleaded with the middle-aged man standing in front of her. She placed her left ear on Ciro’s heart, to know if he was still breathing. “Please help me, Sir, let’s take him to the hospital!” Sarah pleaded again, with tears in her eyes, but she saw that the man was smiling at her, and this made her very surprised. Her countenance changed toward the man. “There would be no need for that Ma’am.” The man said, not eager to let go of his smile. “What? What do you mean?” Sarah asked, looking very confused. “Hello, Sarah.” Sarah gasped, and then she withdrew from Ciro’s body forcefully, reacting to the shocking waves that went into her body the moment she heard her name. Sarah sat on the ground forcefully, panting frantically, and then she looked at Ciro, to be sure she wasn’t going crazy. “Hi.” Ciro’s voice came back, and this time, he moved. Sarah’s heart tried to run into her stomach, and she gasped for

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE “Let go of me, Marcos! You are crazy!” Sarah said, but Marcos ignored her. He pulled her to the back of the car, still holding onto his gun. The men stopped firing their guns the moment they saw that the car had stopped and that Marcos had dragged Sarah to the back of the car. With her heart racing frantically, Sarah whimpered in sorrow and anxiety, but her pain got worse, when she looked to her left, and saw Ciro lying lifeless on the ground. “Ciro.” She whispered with so much pain. Marcos brought out his head slightly, to see what was happening. He saw the men approaching slowly, and he put his head back and exhaled sharply, with his back against the car. Marcos took in another round of air, and then he let it out, while he held onto Sarah’s hand with one hand and onto the gun with the other. “Bloody hell!” He groaned angrily, and then he put out his gun and started to fire at will, causing the men who didn't realize that he had a gun to take cover. “Don

As the men continued to approach with steady but slow steps, Marcos realized that they were coming after him, he thought of the best action to take, but nothing came to his mind. “Shit!!” He said out loud, hitting his hand on the steering wheel, and withdrawing it almost at once, as soon as he felt the pain from the impact. “Who the hell are these men?” Marcos asked, but as usual, his questions got no answers. He growled in f

CHAPTER TWENTY-ONE “Marcos.” “Just shut up and move! Be quiet, Sarah!” Marcos was nervous; even though he had a gun to her head, he still knew that he was taking a huge risk by doing that. “I won’t be this nice for a very long time, Sarah. Just move to the car, and we will be out of here.” “I am not going anywhere,” Sarah said with a shaky yet determined tone. “What did you say, Sarah?” “I said I am not going anywhere!” Marcos snarled, he looked at Sarah and exhaled sharply. “Sarah, don’t make this hard for yourself, just move.” “I won’t Marcos, you have to let me go.” “Sarah!” Marcos called her with a hoarse voice, but she refused to budge. He became so angry that he had to push her toward the car. “Stop! You are hurting me, Marcos!” “Move! Move!” Marcos pushed her against the car, causing her to grunt in pain, and then he opened the door of the seat in front and tried to push her into the car. “Go on!” He ordered, but Sarah refused, she held on to the frame of the doo

CHAPTER TWENTY Sarah froze. She looked at the gun pointed at her head and gulped down saliva. She whimpered under her breath, but couldn’t say a word even if her mouth wasn’t taped. “Stay there, unless you want her brains on the floor!” Marcos threatened, and then he started to untie her gradually. “If you try to be funny, I won't desist from shooting you; this gun is loaded,” He warned Sarah as he continued to untie her. After a few seconds, he removed the rope from her body. Sarah tried to move, but he pushed the gun forcefully against her head, making her whimper with her hands in the air. “That’'s right, now stand up nice and slow.” Sarah was reluctant to heed his words; she sat on the chair with heightened breath, moving her eyes from one angle to the next with fear all over her. “Did I stutter? I said stand up!” Sarah was forced to rise from the seat; she looked at Ciro, but he just stood there with his hands in full surrender. “You don't have to do this, Marcos; just
