I knew something was off. I felt it all the way to her house and at her mother’s words I began to panic but I tried as much as I could to swallow it and showed her a smile.

"I really wanted to see her to clear some things up but it's fine, I will just come back later."

I turned and left before she would make me say any other thing; I was worried that I might scare her, over something that might not even be true.
