Chapter 4

A few minutes earlier, just after Matthias turned around, Mr. Owen remembered that his new master doesn’t have a car to drive around. 

“How dumb of me to not organize that first before saying goodbye to him.”

Trying to catch up on Matthias, Mr. Owen called his secretary to arrange the car for him.

“I’ll be there in a minute, so you just need to remain on standby.”

 But what is this now?

“What are you doing?” he couldn't help but shout when he saw Matthias being surrounded by his own men. 

"Why are you all gathered here?"

Noelle’s eyes almost bulged out of her eye-socket when she saw the CEO’s angry face. She trembled and the cat seemed to get her tongue under the intense pressure of her boss.

“It’s because of this man, sir!” one of the guards shouted to make a good impression in front of Noelle as if what he did saved the whole world. 

“This beggar suddenly stormed in and caused a commotion earlier, so we will be sending him to the police station to lock him up in a prison for trespassing and–huh?”

The guard’s explanation stopped when one of his subordinates nudged him and pointed at the apparent rage at the CEO’s face.

“You! You’re fired.”

And the commotion worsened. 

“Master Matthias, I apologize for the rough behavior of my men,” Mr. Owen said and bowed to Matthias who was straightening his cheap suit.

Matthias smiled. “Ah, it’s fine. No harm is done so don’t be too harsh on them.”

Recognizing the clear hierarchy between the CEO and Matthias, everyone was puzzled, including Noelle, who couldn't comprehend what was happening.

Despite that, Noelle was quick to the uptake and bowed her head to Matthias to apologize, which shocked Matthias.

‘Bad. This is bad, I never knew that he is someone that can make even the CEO bow,’ Noelle thought. 

Then she smiled. 

Isn’t he just a sapling? 

Compared to the mature CEO this ‘Matthias’ would be easy to manipulate. 

“Oh dear, please forgive my attitude earlier,” Noelle spoke while putting her hair back to show her gifted breast to Matthias. 

“As an apology, why don’t we have a coffee and start over?” she added and posed a bit more, emphasizing the curves in her body. 

This changed Matthias' stance from before. 

Disgusted at Noelle acting like his damn ex-girlfriend, trying to catch the people with big money,  Matthias whispered something Mr. Owen and as if magic, Mr. Owen demoted Noelle and made her a plain concierge in the lobby. 

Mr. Owen was in the middle of straightening out the situation when a phone call from his friend interrupted Matthias’ train of thoughts. 

“Matt. Where are you now?” the caller asked Matthias. “Did you forget that we have basketball drills today?

“Now? Okay…Ha? Fine, fine, I’ll be there.”

Matthias hurriedly went out to catch the next taxi when Mr. Owen called him again, pointing him to a new sedan that the CEO had prepared for him.

“Where should I take you, Master?” the driver asked Matthias when he went inside the luxurious car. 

“To the Eastgate University, Gate B,” he replied quickly and glanced at his phone again.

Fifteen minutes passed and before he knew it, he’s already inside the university. 

“That’s quick,” he commented to the driver because usually, it takes him more than 30 minutes to reach there. 

After thanking the driver, Matthias went out and ran like lightning to the gym where his friends were already waiting for him. 

“Matt!” they shouted when they saw the familiar silhouette of Matthias. 

And he’s immediately bombarded with questions regarding Aira because for them, Aira is already a dream girl. 

“Why did you not tell us that the two of you already broke up? What kind of friend are you if you’re not going to pass your beautiful girlfriend to us?” Wilson complained to him.

Matthias almost kicked his friends. 

How did this f*ckers knew about the breakup that fast? 

He did not remember himself mentioning it to them.

He’s thinking about that when Aira went to the gym together with her friends, holding the arm of Jared Spencer, the school’s worst student. 

What the f*ck, Aira. He cursed in his head. 

He really can’t understand his past self who stayed with this kind of girl that will sleep with an old man and flirt with a juvenile. 

“Yo, Matthias, how’s life goin’?”

Matthias smiled at Jared, who approached him. 

Meanwhile, Aira distanced herself from them and went to the cheer group.

Why? Is she thinking that he’ll spill it that they broke up after he caught her with a dirty old man?

No way. 

That will only drive these two scumbags away from each other. Because who will match a bitch like Aira but a juvenile being like Jared. 

Matthias can’t hide his smile at the thought of how Jared will react if he ever finds out that Aira is cheating on him over some old stinky man. 

Maybe beat her or reveal her secret in the worst possible way. 

No matter how, he’s sure that it’ll be fun to watch.

Irritated at Matthias’ smile, Jared pushed him a little and snickered. “I heard that you finally admitted that you’re eunuch to Aira, Matthias. Do you want us to test it out?’’

Matthias frowned. What the hell is this dude up to? 

And eunuch? 

Matthias just shook his head at Aira’s lies.

“Why are you not answering? Are you afraid, chicken-boy?” Jared teased him more.

Jared’s teammates even joined the laughter from their leader that made Matthias’ friends step in to assist Matthias. 

But Matthias stopped them and told them that he’ll be the one going to solve the problem. 

There’s no problem in those taunts alone but Jared started hitting the side of Matthias’ head, slapping it with his callous filled hands. 

“Hey, hey, are you going to stay looking at me like that?” Jared asked before he slapped Matthias again.

“So, you’re a eunuch? Not a man?”

Even Aira’s friend also joined in and hauled insults to Matthias like the bitch that they are.

“I mean, silence means yes, right?” Luna added fire to the debate and sneered at Matthias.

Aira’s other friend, Ella also joined the commotion and did not let the chance slip to insult Matthias. “Right, girl. Just imagining his small manhood makes me go eew.”

But Matthias did not say a word and just glared straight to Jared’s eye to prevent escalating the scene.

He also has no intention in putting his friends at Jared’s bad side. 

Jared, on the other hand, is enjoying the bullying at Matthias and was about to punch him when suddenly a voice came in from the gym’s door. 

It’s Cheska, the cheerleader captain.

The tall, model-like and A+ student of their university, who never fails at anything she does, beauty, cheerleading and leadership included.

“Jared! Are you seriously going to go back to your old ways again?” Cheska directly asked Jared that still has his arm midair. 

Even though she asked, Jared just snorted and left without a word. 

At the same moment, the Coach also entered and class began.

But before class started, Matthias was caught off guard at Cheska’s sudden invitation. 

“Hey, wanna come to my party?” she said and smiled sweetly.
