"Based on the order you passed the exam, that's also the order you will approach the book to clarify your identities. Place your palm on the floating book and transfer even a little bit of your magic to the book. It will automatically open and reveal your rank, age, clan, and name. So, there's no point in lying because this book knows who you really are inside. First on the list. Start."

Sai immediately approached the book. He did what the teacher said, and the book automatically opened afterwards. From the blank page, the young man's rank appeared, according to his current strength.

A soldier was waiting beside Clover, his list ready.

Clover read the rank on the book in a loud voice so that everyone present could hear it. "Sai Floshen, age fifteen. Rank, 3rd Grade Cat, from the Death Lotus Clan. Next!"

"Oh? He's already 3rd Grade? Really? Not bad for a newcomer, I guess."

One of the students present commented.

Next to approach the book was Loan. After that, Clover read it again. "Loan Lin, age fourteen. Rank, 2nd Grade Cat. From the Death Lotus Clan. Next!"

"Eris Asval, age fourteen. Rank, 2nd Grade Cat. Also from the Death Lotus Clan. Next!"

"Liam Dojin. Age, fifteen. Rank, 2nd Grade Cat. From the Golden Fire Clan. Next!"

"Bryan Vell. Age, fifteen. Rank, 1st Grade Cat. From the Silver Snake Clan. Next!"

The calling of the other newcomers didn't take long, and it was the first noble's turn to test his own rank in the Book of Knowledge.

"Lucien Li. Age, fifteen. Rank, 5th Grade Wolf. From the Dragon Sage Clan. Next!"

"Really?! He's already 5th Grade Wolf?"

"I think I heard wrong."

"It's impossible for him to be that strong."

"He's starting at the institution with that high a level? Wow, I can't believe it."

The whispers of the spectators echoed as they heard what they heard.

Emrys smiled. "Amazing! He's so good. As far as I know, the Wolf Stage of cultivation is the third out of nine ranks. I'm envious of him."

He couldn't help but stare at Lucien with his mouth agape. So, when Lucien noticed this, he gave the young man a bad stare and looked away, walking towards those who had already finished.

"The thing is, he's arrogant. Well, he's from a noble family. It's better for me to stay away from him as much as possible." Emrys muttered and decided at that moment that he wouldn't get involved with the important people around him.

Elder Morem always reminded him that if a person has a high rank or position, whether an adventurer or whatever, the bigger the trouble they will face or follow.

"Tyron Chien. Age, fifteen. Rank, 3rd Grade Wolf. From the Great Zein Clan. Next!"

"Warren Kan. Age, fifteen. Rank, 2nd Grade Wolf. From the Cerulean Tempest Clan. Next!"

Like before, the spectators were amazed because it was obvious that the three noble cultivators were at the same level.

But Desmond's attention wasn't there, but on the young man, Emrys.

And when it was Emrys' turn, he also approached the front of the Book of Knowledge and placed his palm on the closed book.

Everyone was uninterested in what would happen. They were whispering and just looking at the three nobles.

While Emrys was smiling and waiting for the Book of Knowledge to open so he could also know his rank, it was taking too long.

More than a minute had passed, but surprisingly, the book still wasn't opening.

When everyone noticed this, they immediately wondered. Some were bored, and others couldn't take it anymore and left.

So, Desmond approached the young man and asked Emrys in his serious voice, "Did you give the book magic?"

Emrys nodded, looking at the teacher beside him. "Yes. Should I repeat it?"

"Go ahead." Desmond couldn't wait to read the young man's rank. And he was even more impatient because the book wasn't opening when Emrys was in front of it.

When he did what he was told, they waited again, but the book still wouldn't open.

Sai crossed his arms from where he stood. He was slowly getting impatient and spoke. "What's wrong with them? It's taking too long."

"The book isn't opening." Eris commented and laughed mockingly. "If it doesn't open, does that mean he's going to be kicked out?"

"I don't know. But I hope it's true." Loan added.

"There, it's opening." Clover said, so the three sighed in boredom. Their brief hope that Emrys would be expelled from the institution disappeared just like that.

"Let me see." Desmond immediately peeked at the book and his eyes widened at what he saw.

"Emrys Valestron. Age, fourteen. Rank, 1st Grade Drago--ah wait. Sorry..." Clover stopped reading and confusion was immediately evident in his expression. Everyone was also surprised. A short silence passed before Clover spoke again. "I'll repeat. There was a typo in the book, but it's been fixed. Emrys Valestron. Age, fourteen. Rank, 1st Grade Cat. From the Death Lotus Clan."

Emrys followed, hands behind his back.“There’s one thing I forgot to tell you,” the princess said as she continued walking. “Since you’re now my personal bodyguard, you must always stay by my side. You must ensure I can sleep safely at night. Also, you should knock before entering my room—you should not just wait outside. Remember, in this job, you cannot take your eyes off me, no matter what happens. Is that clear, Mr. Valestron?”Emrys nodded behind he

Everyone watching was serious, mostly supporting Paul—except for Jin, his sister, and their little companion. They frowned at Emrys’s ferocity; he was strong, yes, but his excessive violence could endanger the peace the princess had maintained for years. They were genuinely worried for their respected commander’s safety.“What’s wrong? Aren’t you going to use your sword?”Paul took a deep breath, clenching his fists harder, ignoring the pain in his arm. “I just have a bruise on my arm. You haven’t beaten me ye
