Elvis slipped the card into his pocket before carrying his schoolbag, deciding that he would continue his concern when he returned from school.
He walked out of the mansion, humming a song which just began to ring in his mind, "Soon things will be clear and everywhere will be home...." Says the lyrics of the song, and it goes on and on. He trod the lonely estate til he arrived at the bus stop. He was expecting to see Mrs Adam's car there as it had almost become a part of him. Instead of seeing the car like he expected, he saw Sammy leaning by a signpost. He quickened his steps towards Sammy, "Hey, do you wait for long?" Sammy's lips lifted into a smile and he shook his head, "No, I just got here." "Thank God. I thought I kept you waiting for long." "You didn't." Elvis grabbed Sammy's arm and pulled him forward, "Come on, let's get going." "Sure." They walked side by side a little farther before spotting a cab which they boarded. "How did you get home yesterday? You had disappeared when I woke up, and Mum said you left," Sammy began. "You were sleeping when I left, I didn't want to disturb you." "You could have woke me up. I was so worried when I woke up in that strange room. I thought something bad happened to you til Mum showed up and told me you're okay." "Yes, I thought something bad would happen to me, too." Sammy sighed gently, "I'm glad you're fine. I was so worried, and you have no phone for me to get through to you." "I'm sorry for that." "Don't you think you have to get one? I can buy it for you if you want, I want to change my phone as well." Sammy proposed. "No, I'm fine." "Come on, stop being like that. Let me buy it for you." Sammy had his face pulled together as he pouted, trying to buy Elvis in with his cuteness. Elvis gave up, "Fine, I'll get a phone, but I'll buy it for myself." Sammy busted into a laugh. "What? Do you want to buy a phone for yourself? Do you know how much that is?" Elvis was not offended, though he pretended he was, "Does that mean you're seeing me as broke?" "No, why will I? You're not broke, right?" Sammy's question dripped with sarcasm. "I'm not." "We'll see to that." They were in a comfortable silence as the road stretched on and they watched for the backseat. "Oh, Elvis," Sammy called Elvis, "Who were those guys from yesterday? What did they want from you?" "Me? Why don't you think that they took us because of you?" "Mum told me they needed you." "And didn't she tell you why?" "No, she didn't. She said I should ask you about it, which I'm doing right now." Elvis noticed that Mrs Adams must have intentionally left Sammy in the dark, so he decided to keep it from him as well. "I don't know why they wanted me, but just know that something like yesterday will not happen again. Trust me." "Are you sure? I don't want you to be in trouble." "I won't." They got to school and Sammy paid for the transportation f*e before they walked the remaining distance to their faculty. They got to their lecture hall and took their seats beside each other. The lecturer soon entered the hall, he was also their departmental adviser. "Good morning, everyone." "Good morning, barrister." The students all chorused. "This will be our first class for this course, and so, I will ask you all a question. This question is what we all have to have an answer to, if you don't, then you're not ready for this course. Are you ready to hear the question?" "Yes, barrister." "Good. Now, listen carefully. Out of all the departments in this prestigious university, why law?" Everyone got into thinking, babe a few of the students raised their hands to answer the question, of which Elvis was not among. He had no answer to the question, and he was not even trying to think of one. But when the lecturer was to call someone to answer the question, he pointed to Elvis, "You, answer the question." Elvis glanced around, then pointed to himself, "Me, sir?" "Yes." He stood up and said the first answer that came to his mind was, "I didn't choose this department; my father-in-law chose it for me." Everyone went, "Oooh!" For that, a murmur rang through the hall. "Does that mean dude is married?" "He looks too young for that." "And he's going to school. Is his wife not scared that he will be taken?" "I've not noticed him around before, he's handsome." "So bad he's married." The lecturer had to hush everyone to stop murmuring, "Sh! That's enough y'all." The class began its silence, and Elvis was still on his feet. "What's your name, young man?" "Elvis." "Mr Elvis, I want to ask you. What do you mean by your words about your father-in-law? Does that mean you don't like this department?" The lecturer asked Elvis further. "I don't know if I will like the course, but I can tell you that I will not fail any course here, so if I get to like the course later, I will just build more, and if I don't, I'll grow in the knowledge of it," Elvis explained. The lecturer nodded, "I like your spirit, Mr Elvis. You may have your seat." "Thank you, barrister." Elvis sat down. "Really? You didn't choose the department by yourself?" Sammy asked Elvis in a whisper. "Yes, I didn't." "I didn't either. My mum loves the department and I chose it for her." "Good, that makes the two of us." They chuckled and returned their solemn attention to the lecturer. "So, class, when you get home today, try to think about the main reason behind your choice for this course to know whether you're in the right place or the wrong one." The lecturer gave a final remark as he packed his books together. "Okay, barrister. Thank you, barrister." The lecturer left. Elvis sighed and began to pull his books into his bag, "When is our next class?" He asked Sammy. "In two hours." "Two hours break?" "Yes." "Good, I'm hungry." "I am hungry as well." "Let's fill up the stomach then." Elvis stood up from his seat along with Sammy, and they left the hall. "What do you want to eat?" Sammy asked Elvis. "Anything that is not related to stone or sand." "Then, is grass okay?" Elvis replied to Sammy's tease with a glare, causing Sammy to bust out laughing. "Can you eat grass yourself?" "Of course. I eat leaves." Sammy argued. "That's vegetables, not grass. I know that animals are supposed to eat grass, so if you eat it as well, I won't be sorry to call you one." Sammy raised both of his hands in mock surrender, "You won." "If this was to be the case, know that you're no match for me." Elvis boosted. "I wouldn't have let you off if it's a case in the law court." Elvis rolled his eyes childishly and Sammy kept on teasing him til they got to the restaurant in the faculty. This restaurant was known by the whole school to serve the best food, and for this reason, students from other faculty would come to eat from there. ''Wow! This place is piled up with students." Elvis grumbled. "Come on, we stood to find an empty table by the window," Sammy spoke hopefully. They walked into the restaurant, and when they were on the verge of giving up, they found an empty table and quickly took it before another person could. "That's a narrow escape." Sammy released a sigh of relief. "Nothing serious. We could have just gone to search for another restaurant." Elvis replied to him, and a girl on an apron went to them and took their order. Their order arrived, and it was all placed on the table for it to be consumed. Elvis wasted no time, he dug into the plate of rice and began to eat. "Hey, eat slowly, you might choke," Sammy warned him. "I won't." Elvis was halfway through his food when the door of the restaurant opened and Camila came in with a guy beside her. Her boyfriend. Harry. As soon as they entered, Elvis saw them because he was facing the door. He stopped eating and continued to stare at them. Sammy noticed the way he paused, "Are you okay, man?" Elvis didn't answer to him. He kept on staring at Camila. Sammy traced his locked gaze, and saw Camila as well, "Hold on, is that not your wife?" He asked Elvis. "Yes, she is." "Who is that guy beside her?" "I don't know." Sammy returned his gaze to Elvis. "What will you do now?" "I don't know, do you think I should go and ask her about it?" "No, that will be a bad idea. Camila is rude and unfriendly, she will embarrass you." Elvis frowned, "But I'm her husband, she should respect me for that, right?" "She should, but I don't think she will. Just ignore them." Sammy finally advised him. Elvis was pained that his wife was locked in another man's arm, but he had nothing he could do but stare away from Camila like he didn't see her. He turned back to his food and continued to eat slowly. He had lost his appetite. Sammy noticed his sluggishness and questioned him, "Are you okay?" "Do I look like I am? I'm mad right now." Elvis snapped at Sammy. "Woah! Calm down, will you? You might get them to see you with the way you're raising your voice." Elvis sighed, "I'm sorry." He took his spoon and continued to eat. "It's okay." Sammy patted his arm before he continued with his food as well. Camila and Harry were eye searching for a place to sit down or for minor people they could chase off from their seats, then her eyes caught with Elvis's long hair. "I think I see one, come on, babe." She pulled Harry toward the side where Elvis was eating, and they stood before the table. "Stand up, we will like to eat on this table." She said to Elvis. Elvis recognised her voice so well that even with his eyes buried in his food, he knew she was the one, but not alone. She was with another man. "Why should we?" He questioned her, not sparing Camila, nor Harry a glance. "Uh? Did he just question you?" Harry questioned Camila unbelievably. "No, he didn't, that's impossible," Camila replied to him. She took both of her hands on the table and faced Elvis, "I said you both should vacate this table immediately." Elvis sighed and slowly raised his eyes to meet hers, "And I ask you, why should I?" Camila hated to be questioned as much. It always annoyed her because she loved being in charge. So, she picked up a drink on the table and emptied the contents on Elvis. "No one questions me!" She stated and stood upright, folding her hands together. Elvis stared at his stained shirt and pants dumbly. He was astonished that Camila could do something like that to him. He stared at the clothes, then at Camila. His gaze returned to the clothes and slowly, he stood up from his seat with his gaze returning to Camila, "What do you think you're doing? How can you do that?" "Do you still have the gut to question me?" "Why can't you be questioned? You're not superior to me, you're nothing to me." "So, you can talk now. Do you want me to tell everyone here that my father feeds you?" She asked Elvis with a sly look at him. "Why don't you start by telling them I'm your husband, and that you're a cheat?" Camila became annoyed because of Elvis's comeback; she took another glass filled with a milkshake and emptied it on Elvis again, "You are just trash; stop talking as if you're not one." Elvis frowned, picked up his half-eaten plate of food, and turned towards Harry, "I'm sorry, but she's with you." Elvis emptied the plate of food on Harry. The whole restaurant turned cold at that instant. The students around also took steady steps backwards, knowing chaos was about to bust, but Elvis didn't notice anything. He turned to Camila, "You are the real trash with him."Latest Chapter

Sammy's own would be coming on soon, and both guys were waiting impatiently for that day. Why?Vince had promised Sammy that he would be there with him. He was done with schooling for now, and what he was waiting for to get his full freedom from Mrs Klein was the last trip Mrs Klein made him to promise, therefore, he had told Sammy that he would be going for a business trip with Mrs Klein,
ALIVE AGAIN.
ALIVE AGAIN.Sammy took the phone from the therapist and fell to the floor to talk to Vince. He was all smiles that his lips were in their widest range, yet, Sammy was not tired of the smile. He never knew that he was smiling that much."Vince, hey." He said into the phone."Sammy, I was hearing your laughs. Are you okay?" Vince's words were laced with worry. A lot of worries that was dripping and had filled the floor."I was surprised you messaged me, I thought your mum didn't want you to.""Turns out you're not my mum's best friend, you're mine."Sammy's lips widened in an impossible wideness, both edges of his lips were almost touching his eyes."I knew you could not just abandon me here.""Never. You are the only one who knows me and still stays by my side." Vince said to Sammy."I couldn't leave," Sammy replied to him. They talked some more before the door of the room burst open, and Mrs Adams ran in. "Sammy." AN UNCOMMON DRUG TO BE USED.
AN UNCOMMON DRUG TO BE USED.Sammy was in the room with two people, a man and a woman. They were therapists who had come to help him recover. The woman was sitting down on Sammy's dressing chair, and the man was standing beside the door. Sammy was sitting in his bed. His hands were firmly gripping his phone as though he wanted to snap it off, his gaze locked on the process of the phone, but his mind was so far away from the surroundings of the room."Do you want us to talk downstairs for easier convenience?" The woman asked Sammy, but he remained as he was."Then, I'll assume you're comfortable like this." She stated. She got hold of the edge of the chair she was sitting on and pulled the chair closer to Sammy.Sammy was not aware of the closure, "Hey." That was the word that got Sammy's attention. He jolted away, farther into the bed so abruptly, as if he was burned by her closeness."Relax, I will not hurt you." She assured him, but did not attempt to move her chair forward again.S
VINCE CALLED.
VINCE CALLED.It all felt like something that could happen immediately— Sammy's sickness. Mrs Adams thought that if she could be saying Vince's name every time to her son, he would want to heal faster, but it didn't work that way.Every time she used Vince's name, Sammy would react to it, but when he realised that there was no Vince around, he would crawl back into his shell. A shallower shell he had built for himself.Sammy had been discharged from the hospital with a standby nurse with him to take care of him and always bring him to his therapy. He could walk— very slowly, and could do a lot of things by himself, but even after months of it, he said nothing to anyone. It was like his voice was gone. That was not it, he found no reason to talk, and he had been indoors.Mrs Adams was dressed for work. She headed to Sammy's room and knocked on the door. "Son, are you in?"Not like Sammy would go anywhere. She was answered by the silence across the house. She sighed and opened the door.
ONLY VINCE'S NAME COULD HEAL HIM.
ONLY VINCE'S NAME COULD HEAL HIM.Mrs Adams knew for one that for the doctor to request an audience with her, something terrible must be happening to her son, but she went. Her sweaty hands were holding the hems of her top when she was moving forward. Her legs wobbled behind her, and her head felt heavy from thinking of everything possible that might be going on.She dreaded meeting with the doctor so much. The knock she left on the door of the doctor's office when she got there was such a weak one, and hearing it by the doctor was a mystery."Come in, Mrs." The doctor answered from inside.Mrs Adams took her time before she opened the door. Before that, she had put on a feigned calm look, perfectly hiding her fright under a wide smile."Doctor, you called for me." She said to the doctor as soon as she entered into the space for the office."Please," He gestured towards a seat before him. She sat down."Is there any problem, doc?""Ahem," He cleared his throat, "Your son might be wors
THERE IS NO VINCE HERE.
THERE IS NO VINCE HERE.Everything was happening so fast, and Mrs Adams began to work under no supervision. She was still trying to reach out to Mrs Klein and Vince, but was unable to do so.She got to work today without visiting Sammy first in the hospital, and bumped into Clinton who was going out with a hot girl by his side. Unlike the punk way he dressed the first time Mrs Adams met him, he was dressed in a black suit. He had no tie locked around his neck, and a few of his white shirt's buttons were undone. He had one of his hands holding the hand of the girl beside him, and the other hand was trapped inside his pants pocket."Oh, Mrs Adams, you're just the woman I want to see.""Good morning, Mr Clinton. You are looking good."He rolled his eyes at her, "I'm always looking good, but I don't do older women."Mrs Adams's eyes popped out of their sockets when she put meaning into what he was saying, "I never...""Sh!" He hushed her, "Now, listen up, Mrs Klein called me, and she said
