All those voices were heard clearly by Jonathan, but he didn't pay them much mind.
He stepped closer to the patient. He wasn't carrying a medical box. He wasn't wearing a white coat. He simply took a small needle from the inner pocket of his robe and pressed on specific points on the patient's body.
Alexander watched continuously, never looking away, even reluctant to blink. "A needle? Hey, are you trying to stab him to death?"
Jonathan ignored him.
"Putting on airs like a traditional healer, recklessly sticking needles into someone's body. Besides, have you ever seen a physician as young as you?" He tried to disrupt Jonathan's concentration.
But Jonathan continued his movements swiftly, skillfully, and methodically. He proceeded to massage a point on the back of the neck, blew a breath using a specific technique, then lightly struck the patient's chest with his palm.
The patient's body twitched. Once. Twice. Then he coughed violently, and his breathing began to regulate. His pale face regained color.
The crowd fell silent. Quiet. Only the sound of the patient's panting breath broke the air.
"Is he really alive?" someone whispered.
"Did he save him?" asked another.
"A truly miraculous doctor."
"See, he actually managed to save him," said the young woman.
Some people clapped, while others felt ashamed for having cursed at Jonathan earlier.
Jonathan stood up again, then looked at Alexander and said, "I've done my part. Now fulfill your promise. Didn't you say earlier you'd give 200 million as long as he lived?"
Alexander was startled, his face visibly tense. But he quickly managed to cover his panic with a forced, crooked smile.
"Tch. You're so full of yourself. I was just testing you earlier, to see if you dared to take the challenge. Besides, the patient improved because of the injection earlier, more precisely due to the effect of the medicine I administered beforehand. It has nothing to do with your strange treatment." His words sounded weak and full of doubt. The people watching felt disgusted and mocked him.
"Lies! He was almost dead just now. If not for him, this man would be a corpse!"
Alexander fell silent, tongue-tied. He was being slapped repeatedly by reality.
"Do you intend to go back on your word?" Jonathan's gaze narrowed.
"That's not it. I-I..."
"Then what is it?" Jonathan turned to the crowd and spoke loudly. "You are all witnesses, right? Who saved this man? Didn't you all hear him too? If I could save him, he said he would pay any amount, right?"
"Yes. We heard his promise," someone immediately shouted. Starting with him, many people finally supported Jonathan.
Earlier he was cursed, now the tables had turned. Earlier Alexander was praised, now he was scorned. Such is life. Ironic, isn't it?
Alexander finally had no choice. Reluctantly, he threw a card onto the ground. "There's 2 million in there. Consider it charity," he said rudely, then left in annoyance without looking back.
Truthfully, the old master who taught him wasn't evil. All his martial arts skills, including his extraordinary medical knowledge, had been imparted to Jonathan. His only flaw was his stinginess. Other than that, Jonathan couldn't find any other faults in the old man.
Jonathan looked at the card. "At least it's enough to buy a gift."
As he prepared to leave, a voice sounded behind him. "Wait!"
Jonathan turned and recognized the beautiful woman and the old man who had been in the crowd earlier.
"My name is Winny Caresta," the woman said politely with a smile. "After seeing your ability earlier, I would like to ask for your help."
Jonathan's face instantly turned cold. His gaze fixed on the old man standing beside Winny.
"Weren't you the one bad-mouthing me earlier?"
The old man, Steward Damaro, looked awkward and embarrassed, not expecting Jonathan's hearing to be so sharp.
"We apologize for the misunderstanding earlier. Sometimes these old eyes judge too quickly," he said softly.
"My hearing isn't as old as your ears, old man. Your insults earlier echoed very clearly," Jonathan said, folding his arms across his chest.
Winny Caresta quickly stepped forward. "Please forgive him. He was just worried about me." She took a deep breath and mustered the courage to ask, "Would you be willing to save a member of my family? Don't worry, this isn't for free. We will pay according to your wishes."
Jonathan was about to refuse. "Sorry, I have an important matter to attend to first."
"How about 1 billion?"

Jonathan simply looked at the old man and smiled. "I agree, you certainly know your fine goods."The old man nodded in satisfaction.Jeremy was dumbfounded. "What is this?" Jeremy was suspicious; he couldn't just stand by. "This must be a setup! You're colluding to scam the auction house. There's no way that shabby chamber pot is worth two billion."The old man frowned, then turned and fixed his gaze on Jeremy. "This transaction is between me and this young man. What business is it of yours? Besides, this chamber pot is genuine, and a price of 2 billion is not excessive."Jeremy stammered in response. "I just... I just don't want this Auction House to be fooled!"Roselin also felt this was just a cheap act and began to mock them. "He's right! And who are you anyway? Don't tell me you're a paid actor?""My name is Anderson Tju. I am Master Anderson. And as it happens, I arrived early because I wanted to look for inspiration."Master Anderson was a renowned antique expert.A bodyguard b

Jeremy Bongso sat slumped in the leather chair, still nursing the pain in his ribs. Though it was only one blow, his pride felt utterly shattered. But he didn't dare act recklessly. Not without his bodyguards. Not after seeing the almost emotionless look in Jonathan's eyes. He's really not an ordinary person, Jeremy thought to himself, but his face remained cold, hiding his fear with arrogance. Later, outside, you will feel my revenge. For now, he chose not to act, as it could backfire on him. After nearly twenty minutes, the appraisal staff member returned. With an unfriendly face and a curt tone, he said, "I told you so. This item is fake. It's not worthy of being included in our auction house catalog."Jonathan was skeptical; he knew it was a valuable antique. He looked at the man calmly. "Did the staff member truly examine it properly?"The staff member tensed up, feeling doubted. He was clearly offended. "Are you questioning our professionalism?" he said angrily, slapping the app

"Jonathan! Have you truly gone insane from being so poor?" Roselin looked at Jonathan with disgust and scornful laughter. "If you really need money, just say so. I still have a little pity, as long as you know your place."Jeremy laughed loudly while folding his arms across his chest. "If you're really that desperate for money, just tell me! I can give you Five Million. Consider it charity, since I've taken your ex-fiancée off your hands."Roselin turned quickly, her expression shifting slightly. Jeremy's words were indeed too vulgar. Even though she no longer respected Jonathan, she had still almost been engaged to him. However, because of Jeremy's powerful background as the heir to the Bongso family, she didn't dare contradict him. Instead, she forced an awkward smile. His remarks drew sneering smiles from some of the VIP guests.Jonathan stood calmly, his sharp eyes locking onto Jeremy. "I suggest you stop talking before you regret it."Jeremy smirked. "Please, someone call the men
Chapter 20
The vendor, who had just finished counting the money with great drama, stared at him. "Are you crazy, wanting to auction a chamber pot you bought for six hundred thousand?" he muttered, still standing there scratching his head that wasn't itchy. "If anyone buys that chamber pot for over a million, I'll kowtow right here in this market."Even as he said this, he wasn't truly cruel. With a mix of pity and amusement, he still told Jonathan the location of the antique market. "Head south. Just look for the old building near the river, it's called the Siluman Market.""Be careful. There are lots of scammers there too," he said as Jonathan started to walk away. "If you go there carrying a funny item like that, you might not just get laughed at, but thrown out by force."Jonathan glanced back slightly, a faint smile on his lips. "You're wrong! This chamber pot can make the entire auction house stand up in awe."The vendor could only watch Jonathan's back as he slowly disappeared, then let ou

Azka shot forward, his kick fast and precise, flying towards Jonathan's head.Swoosh!Thud!A single punch from Jonathan, straight and calm, landed squarely on Azka's chest before his foot could reach its target.Azka fell to the ground with a heavy thud. Blood began to trickle from the corner of his mouth. His eyes were vacant. All the spectators fell silent. No one made a sound. No one dared to laugh. Even the female students who had previously idolized Azka now looked at Jonathan with a mix of fear and awe.Jonathan walked slowly closer, then squatted down beside Azka. "Don't bother Amelia again. Or next time, I won't let you off with just a nosebleed. Remember that!"After that, he stood up, brushing off his clothes.Jonathan left the school crowd with leisurely steps. He had trained for years in the mountains; dealing with a spoiled brat like Azka was merely a trivial matter. That morning, the sky above Pegasus City was clear and bright. The sunlight gently bathed the People's Village, as if welcoming a new beginning.Jonathan was dressed in simple, yet clean and neat clothes. Beside him, Amelia walked with light steps, wearing her gray-and-white school uniform. Her hair was tied in two ponytails, and her cheerful face was full of spirit.Along the road to school, several neighbors greeted them. Some said good morning warmly, while others just observed quietly, whispering."Is that Amelia? She's so beautiful. But who's the guy next to her?""I heard they live together. But could they be dating?"Amelia heard the whispers but paid no mind. In fact, she looked even more cheerful. When they reached the school gate, she turned to Jonathan and spoke with a sweet smile."Brother Jonathan, pick me up later, okay? At three o'clock, don't forget!"Jonathan nodded, "Don't worry, I won't forget."Amelia lowered her head shyly, then ran into the schoolyard. Behind her
