The Hut

"Alice, how did you escape from Thomas? I know you guys are meant to be in the market together by now."

"Ohh that? I had to fake a sickness and he was insisting on taking care of me then I remembered I was going to deliver some bananas to Mrs Afrend so I had no choice but to send him there."

"Hmm what a bad wife." Rebecca said with a smile on her face.

"Yeah. I know, right?

They both laughed out loud.

"Finally. Here we are." Rebecca said as they stood before the hut.

"Yeah fi...nal...ly.." Alice said, looking at the hut strangely.

"It is strange huh?" Rebecca asked, as if she was reading Alice's mind.

"Yeah it is. So we came all the way for this?"

"Ohhh dear Alice like I said, do not let what you see deceive you." Rebecca said, patting Alice's hair.

Rebecca opens the door to the hut so Alice can go in, but Alice refuses.

"What? You want me to go into this old looking house? No Way Rebecca I can not."

"Then let us go in together if that is what you want."

"Yes, let us go in together."

Alice holds Rebecca arm tightly like she was going to leave her right there, as they make their way inside the hut. When they went in the door behind them got shot, making Alice jump in fear.

"What was that? Why did the door behind us get locked immediately?"

"Alice relax that is how the hut is."

"Do not tell me to relax, I am so tired of hearing that. Since we entered this forest that is all I have been hearing from you, Alice, relax , you worry too much. And now I am In an unknown hut, you still dare tell me to relax, how do I do that." Alice said, as she spoke in frustration.

"Am I the one with the problem of not giving birth? Look here, I am only trying to help you before your husband gets married to a younger woman. So you better hold a grip of yourself and put yourself together. We already made it here, so let us get done with it." Rebecca answered in an angry tone.

"Now you are reminding me of my problem huh."

"Alice, do not test my patience. Now let us keep walking." Rebecca said, pulling down a rod glued to the wall, then the wooden wall disappeared. And a Rocky wall was seen.

Alice was in shock as she saw what Rebecca did. "How did you do that?"

"Do what?" Rebecca asked.

"How did you make that wooden wall disappear and how did you know that there was a rod to pull on the wall?"

"Can you quit all your questions Alice!! I have heard enough of them."

Alice was surprise to see Rebecca act this way towards her. Rebecca touched the Rocky wall and it opened a part way leading to a passageway, which is no longer a wooden hut but a total different hut did I say hut no it is nothing like a hut but a mansion.

"How on earth is this place located in this little old hut?"

"You are surprised right? And who says it is located in the hut?"

"Huh." Alice became confused.

"I mean the hut is just a passageway to this place." Rebecca said, smiling.

"Wow, I am really amazed. I mean this is beautiful."

Alice was really surprised to see what was behind the old little hut.

"Let us keep walking." Rebecca said.

Alice was really amazed to see such a beautiful design and decor which can only be found in the palace. There in the forest hut.

Alice saw beautiful gardens and a water fountain. The place looks totally clean and it is not dark anymore. The weather has totally changed.

"Rebecca, what is this place?"

"The heart of the forest." Rebecca replied

"The heart of the forest?"

"Yes you see how beautiful this place is? this is how the forest used to be."

"Wow. So where are we going?"

"That place." Rebecca points towards a very big mansion. It looks like it was built in gold.

"Wait. Is that gold? Like who on earth built a house with gold?" Alice asked as she stopped in her tracks.

"Alice, that is how the mansion has always been."

"Hmm okay. Rebecca I have been wondering why is this place not visible to the public? Why do we have to use the hut to get here?"

"Like I said, the hut is a passageway to this place. If not that am with you, you can not get pass that hut to this place because you can never get the door that leads to this place."

"Hmm I see. So who are we meeting in the mansion?"

"Soon you will find out for yourself, do not worry, in a short while we will be there. So for the time being enjoy the view."

"Okay I will do just that." Alice replied with a smile as look around the place. "You know something Rebecca?"

"And what is that?" Rebecca answered, looking at Alice as they walked.

"Thomas will be so happy if he sees this place, I can already imagine the excitement on his face."

"Haha. Really?"

"Yes Rebecca. Thomas loves to visit beautiful places you know? And I love how happy he gets."

"That's nice," Rebecca replied with a smile.

"It's a pity I can't tell him of this beautiful place." Alice said with a sad face.

"Yeah it is."

"Well it's all for our good."

"Am glad you know that Alice."

"Of course I do. And I can't by any chance make any mistakes of him finding out."

"Very Good Alice. Very Good. So let's keep walking so we will be out of here in no time.

"Okay Rebecca."
