Lin Feng walked back to his house.
After getting disowned by his parents for the accusations, he had been living alone for the past year.
“If I can break into the Core Manifestation stage right now, I'd be able to get close to Dao Vein Realm.
Lin Feng got into a cross legged position, holding a small stone in his hand.
Along with the Spirit Grade Beast Core, he had found this thing at the entrance of the Spirit Vein.
“Thanks to you, I have been able to make leaps in cultivating.” Lin Feng smiled, before letting out a sigh.
He had also wanted to inform Miss Yun, but he didn't know what it was yet.
However, with this stone in his pocket, he was able to hit the Core Stabilization stage of the Dao Core realm in a year.
On an average, it took people about five years and even more to cultivate just the second stage of Dao Core.
“It took Ririn one and a half years and she was named a generational prodigy. What would happen if these people found out I was about to hit Dao Vein Realm.” Lin Feng grinned slightly.
Xian who was currently lazing around, perked his nose up.
“What is that? Let me see, peasant.” He said, quickly running to face Lin Feng.
Lin Feng frowned at the nosy lizard, before looking at the stone.
“I don't know.” He muttered, looking at the bright blue stone.
Seeing the stone, Xian’s eyes sparkled, “Please bring it closer.” He said, moving his tongue over his lizard lips.
Lin Feng laughed, “You must think I'm a fool.” He said, before clenching his fist, and covering the stone.
“Why do you want it?” Lin Feng had seen the greediness flashed in Xian's eyes, and he was not going to make another mistake.
“Why are you being so stubborn? Your ancestors can't even use it.” Xian hissed.
Lin Feng grinned, ignoring the jab and turned around.
He closed his eyes, and began to meditate.
Wisps of Dao rose from the stone, before floating into his orifices.
“No!” Xian yelled, “You are wasting that stone, using it like that.” He quickly said, biting down on his lips
“If you don't want to tell me what it is, then I have no choice.” Lin Feng was indifferent.
“You are stubborn… Fine! I'd tell you. It's a chaos gem.” Xian mumbled in annoyance.
“A chaos Gem? What's that?” Lin Feng stopped his cultivation, and focused on his summon.
“Haven't you heard about the Chaos Dao?” Xian gave him a confused look.
“I read about it but the books said it no longer existed. The last time it was sensed was in the Primordial Era.”
“That's because everyone who knows about it is dead. That's a Chaos Gem in your hand. Why do you think you are growing faster?” Xian said, crossing his arms over his lizard chest.
“You aren't even using right.” He clicked his tongue.
Lin Feng rolled his eyes, “And you know all this because you are the ruler of six heavens from the Primordial Origin Era?” He asked with a puzzled look.
“That's right, Peasant. Your ancestors would kiss my feet right now.” Xian said with a proud grin.
Lin Feng hissed, “You are just a Grade C Lizard."
“Curse your ancestors. Give me that Gem and I'd show you the power of a Primordial Origin Dragon. Grade S? I'd devour countless of them like flies.” Xian maniacally laughed.
Lin Feng could only stare, and then he sighed.
“Even my summon is a psycho. At this rate, I'd be turned to Lion food.” He closed his eyes and began cultivating.
Xian, who was busy laughing, realised that the room was strangely quiet, causing him to open his eyes.
“This youngster.” Xian sighed, realising that Lin Feng paid him no attention. “If this youngster had enough Dao, I'd have been able to use my true form but I don't want to kill him yet.” He muttered, before racking his brain for an idea.
After thinking for a moment, Xian moved to stay in front of Lin Feng, and touched the young man's chest.
Lin Feng had already sunk into a deep state while cultivating.
His core was refining the Dao that floated from the Chaos Gem.
In that instant, a piercing headache attacked his mind.
“Arrggh!”
Lin Feng was instantly transported to a massive green land.
The island was filled with countless beasts, and he could feel the thick power of Dao.
A rumbling shook the ground and a large black shadow covered the area.
Appearing in the sky was a black dragon, with a horn sticking out of its head
The body of the Dragon covered the island, and the dragon opened its mouth, causing a black fire to hit the ground.
Before Lin Feng could understand what was going on, the fire spread covering the entirety of the island.
Even beasts that gave the aura of being S-grade and above had no chance of escaping.
It was all consuming and Lin Feng could only tremble in the face of such power.
The next minute, he found himself back in the room.
His eyes turned to his lizard-like summon. “That's you? Then why do you look like a lizard?”
Xian raised his head proudly, “That's entirely your fault. I didn't know you were this weak. In my prime, you would be smaller than an ant in my face.”
Lin Feng rolled his eyes. “Answer the damn question, salamander.”
Xian fumed, “The only reason I have this embarrassing form is because you barely have enough Dao for yourself.”
“Then why did you pick me as your master?” Lin Feng raised his brows.
“Because I sensed a wisp of Chaos Dao. It must have been because you were using that stone to cultivate. You are one lucky kid. Deceiving the Great Xian is no small feat.”
Ignoring the remark, Lin Feng stood up. He was suddenly tired.
“What would happen if I gave you the stone, Xian.”
Xian's eyes nearly popped out. “I'd defeat that measly cat for you.” He said with a proud smirk.
Lin Feng nodded but Xian was not done.
“It would also allow me to upgrade my powers a bit more and I can help you refine the stone for your personal cultivation and level up your dao realm.” Xian said.
“Also I am not a grade B. Recheck my power level, I stand at the pinnacle of Summons, and I'm way stronger than a grade S.”
Lin Feng thought about the exam, “But the stone read a power level of B-grade.”
“I was merely hungry.” Xian mumbled in embarrassment.
Seeing the lizard's expression, Lin Feng chuckled, and tossed the stone to the lizard.
“Don't disappoint me.”

Chapter 13
The second day of the Xialan Battle Royal dawned gray and cold, but the arena was already buzzing with gossip about the events of the previous night.Word traveled fast in a place like this. Faster than Dao energy.By sunrise, everyone knew about the death of the Slithering Snake Assassins."The three of them? All dead?""I heard they didn't even get a chance to fight back.""Who is this guy?""That's the thing. No one knows. He won his first fight yesterday with some little lizard beast no one expected to win, and now this.""A lizard? What kind of spirit beast kills three SSA?"The theories spread like wildfire through the contestant quarters. Some said Lin Feng was a rogue cultivator from the Eastern Wastelands, trained in forbidden techniques. Others whispered he was a disgraced disciple from a major sect, hiding his face out of shame. A few, the more superstitious ones, suggested he wasn't human at all.But the most common opinion, the one that circulated through the crowds gathe
Chapter 12
Zi Chen stood at the window of his newly acquired room, his back to the others. The Dao energy here was richer than anywhere else in the contestant quarters, but he wasn't cultivating. He was thinking."That masked bastard needs to pay," one of his followers snarled, pacing back and forth like a caged animal. The one Lin Feng had struck was still unconscious, taken to a healer an hour ago. "He embarrassed you, Brother Zi, totally disregarding your position.""Did you see how fast he moved?" another muttered, his voice carrying a tremor he couldn't quite hide. "I've never seen anything like that. Not even from the senior disciples.""Who cares how fast he moved?" the first follower snapped. "He touched one of ours. That's a declaration of war."The room buzzed with angry voices, each one trying to outdo the last with threats and promises of revenge. They were all furious. Humiliated. A nobody in a mask had made them look like fools, and worse, had walked away without so much as a scrat
Chapter 11
Lu Feng's jaw tightened beneath his mask. Of all the people to run into on his first night here, it had to be Zi Chen.He knew exactly who Zi Chen was even if Zi Chen couldn't recognize him. A direct senior disciple under the same master as Xiao Chen. If anyone in this arena would recognize his techniques or worse, recognize him it would be this man standing before him now.But Lu Feng wasn't here for trouble. He was here for Dao cores and a spot in the top ten. Nothing more."Fine," Lu Feng said flatly, turning back toward his room to collect his things. One of Zi Chen's followers laughed, a ugly, sneering sound. "Look at him. All that mask and mystery and he folds like paper.""The beast probably managed to crawl into top 100 thanks to heaven's luck," another chimed in. Lu Feng ignored them, stepping past them with Xian still draped over his shoulder. The little lizard's tail flicked once, twice, but he said nothing which Lu Feng found suspicious. "I found it amusing that you're
Chapter 10
The entire room erupted into loud cheers as the next contestants stepped onto the stage. Lu Feng looked around for the beasts' masters. Recalling Long Beard's words, he could tell that both beasts — the eight-winged Phoenix and ten-whiskers Wildcat were both spiritual summons.Long Beard was right, there is always a glimpse of worry in the eyes of the masters taking the risk of allowing their spirit beasts to go into battle. Lu Feng couldn't quite blame them. They had a greater chance of winning with their spirit beasts than with a contracted beast. Unless it was an S grade beast, they stood no chance of winning, and S grade beasts were not so easy to come by.Staying hidden behind a pillar and blending with the shadows, Lu Feng couldn't help but wonder which spirit beast would emerge the winner. After all, they were both strong enough to be called A grade spirit beasts."Quite an unusual spirit beast you have there," Long Beard muttered from behind Lu Feng, his eyes fixated on Xian s

The advertisement Lin Feng had shown Xian was a competition of Spirit beasts. With the immense size of Sky Court city, it was obvious that there would be some shady business going on.Lin Feng wore a black mask, covering his face and making him unrecognisable. It was in the middle of the night and after asking for directions he was able to find the place.“Who do you want to place your bet on tonight?” Outside a black door, two men stood outside, and Lin Feng could hear them eavesdropping.“So they place bets in this place?” He brought his hands to his chin.“Xian, are you sure you can defeat a lot of beast at this stage? Should we go back in case you can't win?” Lin Feng communicated with Xian in his head.Xian fumed, “Shut up Peasant. Be grateful I want to work for the both of us.” The lizard uttered, stretching its back.Lin Feng could only chuckle. He had nothing to worry about.Walking towards the door, he held out a token for them.“I'm here for the Beast Match.”One of the gua
Chapter 8
The great Xialan City was where Lin Feng was raised, and it consisted of various other sects, acting under a single ruler. The Prime Ruler of Xialan City was a prodigy from the Feng Sect, named Jian Feng. He had reached the peak stage of the Dao Soul Realm. If he spent more time in seclusion than in ruling the city, people estimated that he would hit the Dao Unity Realm in a few millennia.“Would hosting the Xialan Battle Royale be a good choice at this time?” Jian Feng asked the man beside him. This man was the second elder of the Feng Sect, Gu Feng.“We have no choice. That scum, Lin Feng, has ruined the sect's reputation. We barely have more than ten youths applying to join our sects. In fifty years, the sect would be wiped out at this rate.” Jian Feng appeared in deep thoughts. “Wasn't he the young man that raped Yun Feng?”“Yes, that bastard. I'm grateful that Xiao Chen still chooses to wed Yun Feng after the incident.” Gu Feng let out a sigh of relief. Love these days was truly
