Incredible Actor Nicholas Shane

Strange Task

At night, Nicholas was fast asleep when he heard a loud vibration, he woke up immediately, covering his ears.

"Agh, what's that?" He groaned. 

The system appeared to him. 

{Nicholas Shane, next task loading} it's said, beeping. 

"Really?" Nicholas rubbed his eyes and yawned, stretching his body. 

He took his phone from the drawer beside him and checked the time "1 am? This system must be kidding me"

Anyway, this is the system that gave him $10,000,000, he shouldn't be an ingrate. 

{Nicholas Shane, get up and go to Neon Street, then he should stay there for thirty minutes}.

Nicholas burst out in laughter, why would he go to Neon Street in the middle of the night just to stand for thirty minutes, it's ridiculous!

"It's too late, I can't go"

"Jeez, didn't you check the time, it's 1 am, why should I go there just to stand and do nothing" 

{That's the task given to you today}

Nicholas stood up and stood still like a statue "See, is it not standing, I'm a good stander, if there is a word like that. Let me stand here in my room instead, mm, please"He pleaded. 

{Go now, penalty for not accomplishing the task given to you is death, do you want to go back, dead in the sea}

Nicholas was quiet. 

{Go now, Neon street, stand there for thirty minutes } 

The screen disappeared. 

"Wait... Mr. System" Nicholas called out. 

"Shit!" He punched the air. 

He changed into a pair of trousers with a shirt and a thick sweater on it, then he took his phone and left. 

He kept on complaining on the road, there were no cabs so he had to trek. 

He got there in fifteen minutes and stood there doing nothing. He paced around expecting the screen to appear but it didn't. 

It's been twenty-five minutes, and the night is becoming colder, despite wearing a thick sweater, he shivers. 

"No, this isn't making sense, I'm going back to sleep" He turned in the direction of the hotel when he sighted a figure running towards him. 

"What's that?" He asked. 

The figure was coming closer, because it was very dark, he couldn't see who or what it was. 

Safety first. 

He looked around and picked a stick then he hid behind a tree. 

The image became clearer, it was a woman running. 

"What's a lady doing outside by this time and why is she running"  Nicholas thought.

The woman was being chased by some thugs, her clothes were torn. Her heart pounded in her chest as she tried to outpace the men chasing her, Despite the fear in her eyes, determination burned bright as she refused to let them catch her.

As she was running, she stumbled over a stone and fell to the ground.

She wanted to stand up immediately but she was too weak, The thugs caught her and surrounded her, they were armed. 

The screen appeared to Nicholas. 

{Nicholas Shane, you have two options - 

(a) Save the lady 

(b) Run away. 

"One, two,... Five" Nicholas counted the thugs. 

How will he handle five armed thugs? Nope, he is not ready to die. 

He died once, he is not dying again, there might not be a system to save him this time. 

Slowly, and carefully he crawled away from the scene trying to flee but the image of the woman flashed before his mind. 

He can't leave that helpless lady in the hands of those thugs. He went back to help her. 

The lady was on the ground struggling with the men, The thugs were pulling her hair, and dragging her to a black vehicle.

 Nicholas came and charged at them, swaying the stick at them.

"Let her go," He shouted at them.

The thugs laughed at him.

"Oh, Mr. Hero, you want to save her with that." One of them jested, kicking the stick from Nicholas's hand.

The lady looked at Nicholas and ran and hid behind him.

Nicholas was frightened, He knew he wouldn't last a minute but these delicate hands holding onto him for safety motivated him.

He told her to hide behind the tree while he dealt with the thugs.

 

One of them pointed a knife at him, Nicholas dodged the attack and punched him in his stomach. Another charged at him, Nicholas gave him an uppercut and hit his stomach with his knee, the thug staggered, trying to gain balance.

Nicholas was amused by his strength and skills, the before him would have run with the girl. 

They all came to him, he dodged one blow, landing a kick on another, and then he head-butted one, and punched others.

Nicholas was enjoying this, He fought without using weapons, he beat them mercilessly and fearless.

While the thugs were escaping, they all struggled to walk, the lady ran and hugged Nicholas.

As he was being distracted by this, one of them stabbed him in his right arm. 

The lady screamed, covering her mouth.

He smiled and assured her that he was okay, and then he led her away from the scene. The lady was weak and hurt, He had to carry her. The woman before him was so beautiful that he wanted to protect and keep her. 

There was silence as he carried her from the hidden street to the main road.

The system appeared to him.

Nicholas tapped on the screen, he wondered if the lady wasn't seeing the screen that was so big before them.

"Are you seeing that?" He asked her, pointing to a button on the screen.

"What?"The lady asked, looking for what he was showing her but she found nothing.

"Never mind," He said.

He was confused about the skill and PowerPoint.

Tired, he dropped the woman " Where do you leave?" 

"I don't know my way home from here" She replied. 

"Why?"

"I have protective parents, they don't allow me to go out" 

So what is she doing here if they are really protective?  He thought.

"Okay, just tell me your home address, and I will take you home myself" 

Before She could answer, a white van drove to them and some men in black suits came down from the van.

Nicholas was backing the van and didn't know what was happening, the woman saw them and screamed.

"No, Stop!" But it was too late, they hit Nicholas's head with a gun causing him to lose consciousness.
