Oliver Storm was busy with his daily chores in the Ellison manor early in the morning, while his wife, Zelda Ellison, was busy dressing.

"Oliver, you better hurry up and wash the dishes and cook something for me because I am very hungry." Oliver's mother-in-law, Abigail Ellison, yelled.

"Mom, there are a lot of dishes to wash. Can you please cook the food so I can also continue with the dishes? " Oliver asked in a calm tone.

"You!" Abigail was enraged..

"How dare you ask me to cook? You're so useless and poor, but dare you ask me to cook for you?"

She asked coldly.

Hearing Abigail's cold tone, Oliver lowered his head but said nothing.

"You better hurry up; my daughter has an important place to go and she can't leave on an empty stomach." Abigail slammed the door and went out after saying this.

"Zelda is going out. She might go with me, right? " Thinking of this, Oliver sped up with his chores so he could leave with his wife when he was done.

Immediately after he finished cooking, the bell rang, and Alex came in. Alex is a wealthy young man who has decided to go to any lengths to win Zelda's heart.

Seeing Alex, Abigail rushed to him with a smile. "Alex, welcome. Just wait a few minutes. Zelda will be here!"

Alex stared at Oliver, who was standing beside the table, and nodded with a smile.

"What? Why is Zelda going out with this bastard? " Oliver questioned himself furiously, but there was nothing he could do about it.

Even though he and Zelda had been married for years, he was aware she had no feelings for him, despite the fact he had.

A few minutes later, a beautiful figure walked out of the room.

She was Zelda Ellison, the beauty goddess of Canada's Boston Hills.

Zelda was really beautiful. She had a pear-shaped figure with glossy skin. Her long black hair cascaded over her shoulder, and her saccharine-pouted red lips resembled blossoms, making it difficult for any guy to resist.

A set of dazzling, angelic white teeth gleamed and sparkled just like a diamond. Her blue-cute eyeballs looked enchanted and could trap the soul of any guy who looked straight into her eyes.

"Gulp!" Alex, and Oliver all swallowed hard. Without wasting any time, Oliver walked towards her and said, "Zelda, breakfast is almost ready....."

Before Oliver could complete his sentence, Zelda interrupted, "No, it's OK, I'm late. I'll get something to eat later when I'm in town. "

Oliver was disappointed. He had put a lot of effort into making Zelda's favorite dish in a short time, but she wasn't going to taste it.

"Zelda I wonder where you're going. I hope I can join you right? " Oliver asked nervously while staring at Alex.

"Oliver!" Abigail yelled, "Why do you want to follow her?"

"Can't you see that Alex is here to pick her up?"

Oliver didn't pay heed to his mother-in-law but turned to Zelda and asked, "Zelda, can I join you? I have nothing to do this morning".

Oliver, as mom said, Alex is here to pick me up, so you're not allowed to follow me", Zelda replied.

"Puff!"

Oliver felt his heart being shattered into pieces, hearing Zelda reject him.

"Oliver, don't worry, Zelda would be fine with me," Alex said with a smile. He was mocking him.

Why do you waste your time on him? "You guys might be late; don't bother about him." Abigail moved to stand in front of Oliver, blocking his path.

Oliver was stunned, but he dared not do anything. All he could do was to look at his wife and Alex walking out as they both disappeared from his sight.

Seeing that they were gone, Abigail turned to Oliver and said, "My daughter deserves someone better, and Alex is the best person."

After some minutes, the food was ready.

"Mom, the food is ready, but where did my wife go with Alex?

Abigail angrily slammed the table: "Bullshit! How dare you call her your wife? "

"Get lost!" She yelled.

It was late in the evening when Zelda returned. She looked exhausted. Oliver, who was seated on the couch, stared at her but said nothing.

"Zelda, how was the visit, and did you have fun?" Abigail asked.

"Yes, I did!" Zela answered shortly.

Oliver felt as if cold water had been splashed on his face. He felt as if he had been cuckolded by another man. He angrily stood up as he entered the room.

"What's wrong with Oliver? Mom, did you annoy him again?"

"Zelda You shouldn't care about this brat. I have chosen Alex as your husband, and that's final".

"Mom I'm 23 and no longer a kid. I don't expect you to make decisions for me! " Zelda replied as she also left for the room.

Abigail secretly followed

"Zelda!" Oliver yelled, "Tell me the truth, are you sleeping with that bastard Alex?" he asked as soon as Zelda entered the room.

"How dare you ask me such a question?" Zelda angrily yelled when she heard Oliver's question.

*Why can't I ask Zelda? Am I not your husband and are you not my wife?"

SLAP!

"What kind of husband believes his wife is having extramarital affairs?"

"And you said I was your wife. Did I ever have any relationship with you?"

"You should know that my dad forced me to marry you without even knowing if I loved you or not."

"Moreover, aren't you ashamed of calling someone doing better than you a bastard?"

Zelda's mother, who was hiding behind the door, was very happy to hear of Zelda's quarrel with Oliver. She took the initiative, opened the door, and said,

"Zelda I've always told you that Oliver isn't the best for you. Why not divorce him?

There are countless rich youngsters in the Boston Hills who are willing to marry you".

Oliver, who felt his heart being stabbed several times, could not help but stare at Zelda, wanting to hear her answer.

"Yes, I am ready for a divorce!" Zelda answered coldly while staring at Oliver.

The cacophony of gunfire gradually began to subside as Vespera and her remaining men pressed deeper into the warehouse. Dust particles danced in the slivers of light that pierced the shadows, casting an ethereal glow on the scene of chaos they had unleashed. The once formidable gang members were now scrambling, their coordinated efforts unraveling under the relentless assault from Vespera’s team.Vespera took a moment to steady her breathing, her eyes scanning the dimly lit interior for any signs of movement. Her twin pistols, still warm from the earlier exchanges, were firmly gripped in her hands. She glanced over to her lieutenant, Marcus, who was crouched behind a stack of crates, tending to a wound on his shoulder.“Marcus, status report,” Vespera commanded softly, her voice cutting through the lingering tension.Marcus glanced up, wincing as he pressed a makeshift bandage against his injury. “We’ve neutralized the majority of their front line. A few are regrouping near the easter

  • Chapter 427: Vespera Men vrs The Gang

Boom!” Boom!”Gunfire thundered through the warehouse like a crack of constant lightning, echoing off the metal walls. Vespera crouched behind a stack of crates, breathing heavily as she surveyed the confusion erupting around her. Across the open space, several of her men darted from cover to cover, exchanging bullets with the entrenched gang. The flickering overhead lights and the fading daylight outside cast strange shadows on everyone’s faces, making it hard to tell friend from foe at a glance.A sudden movement drew Vespera’s eye—a gang member peering out from behind a barrel. He was angling his rifle around, clearly targeting one of her flanking teammates. Vespera exhaled slowly to steady her aim. Boom!” With a single, crisp shot, she put a bullet through his chest. He staggered, eyes wide in disbelief, then collapsed to the concrete floor. His rifle clattered away from his limp fingers. No sooner had she taken that shot than chaos erupted on her left. Two of Vespera’s men work

  • Chapter 426: 2 killed

Inside the warehouse, tension hung as thick as the cigarette smoke lingering in the air. The men, on edge from the failed phone call, sat in uneasy silence while their boss poured himself another stiff drink. Suddenly, one of the gang members—a tall, lanky fellow wearing a threadbare jacket—stood up, fidgeting with his belt buckle. “Boss,” he mumbled, trying not to meet the scarred man’s gaze, “I need to step out. Gotta—uh—ease myself.” The boss, halfway through knocking back his liquor, merely grunted. No one else spoke. They watched the lanky man slip past the makeshift barricade of crates and head for the side exit. The heavy metal door groaned in protest as he shouldered it open and stepped out. Outside, the wind carried the faint rustle of footsteps—just enough to prickle the senses. The lanky man squinted into the darkness, blinked, and felt his heart slam in his chest. Figures moved in the shadows—silent, intent, armed to the teeth. It didn’t take long for him to recognize

  • Chapter 425: Vespera Arrival At The base

An hour later, Vespera and her men pulled off the main road and into a desolate stretch of industrial wasteland far from the heart of town. The drive had been tense but uneventful; now, their headlights illuminated cracked asphalt and abandoned warehouses, all standing silent under the pale glow of a few flickering streetlights. The pavement was riddled with weeds poking through the cracks, and torn chain-link fences ran along the perimeter, giving the area a forlorn, almost post-apocalyptic feel.As they brought their vehicles to a stop near a rusted sign that was barely legible, the hum of the engines cut out, plunging the surroundings into an eerie hush. In the distance, the faint outline of the gang’s base rose against the horizon—a hulking, squat structure of corrugated metal and boarded-up windows. It was set back from the main road, hidden amid tangles of overgrown brush and twisted piles of scrap. An occasional burst of light from a flickering floodlight revealed hints of move

  • Chapter 424: Logan Is A Family

As Vespera moved towards the car, she turned back to address her team, her expression steely."Before we head out, clean up these bodies," she instructed, her voice firm. "Make sure there’s no trace left behind. I don’t want any sign of this incident here."One of the guards stepped forward, nodding but looking at the black van parked nearby. "And the vehicle, ma’am? What do we do with it?”Vespera smirked, a hint of dark amusement in her eyes. "We’ll handle that too. Have it rebranded, stripped of any identifiers. Once it’s ready, it’ll be delivered to the local orphanage as a donation. They could use a decent vehicle more than these fools ever could."The guard’s mouth curled into a knowing smile as he nodded. "Understood, ma’am. We’ll get it done."The team moved quickly, setting about their tasks with military precision. Two guards began gathering the bodies, making sure every detail was accounted for, while others turned their attention to wiping down the van and removing any wea

Grimacing with agony, the man gritted his teeth and clenched his fists, struggling to endure the searing pain that radiated from his wounded thigh. Each breath was a struggle. With a steely glint in her eyes, Vespera withdrew the gun from the man's lips and aimed it at his knee with chilling precision. Without a moment's hesitation, she pulled the trigger, the deafening boom of the gunshot reverberating through the air as a bullet tore through the man's knee, shattering bone and tissue with brutal force. The man's scream echoed through the night, his body wracked with agony as he collapsed to the ground, his shattered knee rendering him utterly helpless before Vespera's merciless interrogation. "Where's the address?" Vespera demanded once more, her voice cold. Gulping hard, the man's eyes darted nervously as he struggled to compose himself through the haze of pain and fear. Finally, with a shaky breath, he spoke in a voice barely above a whisper. "The address... it's..." he
