Chapter 9

After listening to what he said just now, they were quite. They didn’t say anything. Even Selene was silent.

But Belle made up her mind.

“Why did you give me that? Isn’t that too overpowering?”

“No. If you use that sword you’ll need my protection.” He said. But it was mostly Superbia and Invidia speaking to them.

“Why? Is that something dangerous?” Belle asked.

“No. But that adamantite drains a persons mental strength. So if you use it without my protection, you’ll eventually lose your mind and become a berserker or a mindless beast.” Superbia said.

Belle was scared. After listening to that she looked at the sword she was holding.

“Ok. I will. Thanks for the protection.” She said.

“I can’t let you die. After all, you will be his princess maiden. So can’t let you die.” Superbia said with an indifferent tone.

Belle let out a wry smile.

“Selene, don’t speak of this to anyone. Not even the gods closest to you. You know why right?” Superbia looking at Selene said this.

“Yes.” Selene replied but her voice lost the dominant tone. Like she was being looked down on.

“Now, it’s time for us to return. Also, girls you seem to have a misconception about something.” He said.

“”What?”” All of them said.

“You girls only listened to me. But don’t think that you are the strongest. And don’t look down on gods either. I am a special case. But the power balance in this world is pretty absolute.”

The girls gulped.

“Now now, don’t scare them.” Gula said.

“Yes. Also we should not tell him about what happened here.” Ira said.

“Let’s just return. I don’t like this place.” Luxuria said with wavering voice.

“Shut up. How much of a wimp can you be?” This time Ira threateningly said.

To the girls the seven sins were having a little disbelief.

But soon they disappeared. And the body of one Akatsuki returned.

He was asleep.

“Ok. Now be a good girl and return.” Selene looked at Mizuki and Momoko and said.

“”No.”” They said at the same time.

“Don’t be stubborn. Just leave. If you stay here, you will be in trouble.” She tried to persuade them.

“No. I am staying with him.” Mizuki said.

“Me too. After all he is the man I love.” Momoko fearlessly declared it.

“No shame. You just said it out loud.” Selene said.

She looked at Aisha’s party and pleaded to help her.

“No. I think it’ll be fun if they stay.” Aisha said.

Selene was practically at a loss.

She couldn’t convince them to leave.

“Uuuhhhh…” Suddenly sound came.

They looked at the direction from where it came from.

Akatsuki had woken up and was sitting.

He made a hoarse sound and looked around like a lost kid.

“How long has it been?” He asked looking at them.

“Not long. Did you sleep well?” Selene asked.

“No. It’s like my body is screaming and my mind is confused. Like I was split.” He said.

He was sitting holding his head in a pained expression. But Selene was unsure.

“So what did those fools say?” He asked with a sharp gaze.

“Whatever do you mean….” Selene tried to play it cool. But her movements were easy to read.

“Don’t play fool. I know my seven demons said something to you girls. What did they say?” He asked in a forceful tone.

The girls looked away from him. They all were blushing and didn’t make eye contact with him.

“I see. Then there’s nothing to do.” He said.

He got up and looked at the girls.

“It was fun meeting you all. But now is the time to bid farewell.” He said.

But the girls looked at him with a baffled look. They didn’t understand the meaning behind his statement.

“No need to look so baffled. I will simply erase your memories of me. Also Mizuki and Momoko will be sent back to their own world. I will adjust their memories too. So you have never seen me nor know me. Now farewell.”

Saying he snapped his fingers and the girls were gone. They were just standing there and were about to say something. But before they could, he sent them.

Selene was also in the dark. She didn’t understand his intentions.

“Now. I have to thank you for everything you have done. So Thank You.” He bowed down and said.

Selene was surprised by this. She never expected him to bow down and thank her.

It was something that was unimaginable.

“And now you have to forget too.” Saying he did the same. And Selene was gone.

“Now, everything seems to be taken care of. Now let’s change location.” He said to himself and started laughing.

He then moved on to the surface and closed the hole. He then opened the portal and stepped inside. From then he was not seen in that world.
