The phone line crackled with tension as Lord Williams' voice broke through.

“Yes… or was that your look-alike or something?”

He asked with a sharp chuckle, the kind that wasn't quite amused.

Lord Leo stood still in the center of the Benjamin mansion's living room, clutching the phone a bit tighter. His eyes darted toward Jack, whose brows were already arched with worry.

“Ah... Lord Williams.”

Lord Leo began, clearing his throat and trying to sound as casual as possible.

“You’re probably mistaken. That must’ve been someone else… I’ve been in the hospital alll evening.”

But there was skepticism in Lord Williams’ voice when he responded.

“I have a good eye, Leo. You know that. And I’d swear I just saw you pass by in a black SUV.”

Jack quickly stepped forward, waving his hand at Leo, silently signaling for the phone.

“Give it to me.”

He mouthed.

Lord Leo passed it on.

“Hello, Lord Williams.”

Jack said, keeping his tone respectful.

“It wasn’t us. We’re actually at the hospital rig

The hospital corridor hummed under fluorescent lights, sterile and cold like the fear that wrapped around their chests. The smell of antiseptic bit the air. Emilia’s shoes clicked softly against the polished tile as she walked beside Jack and Lord Leo, her fingers nervously fidgeting with the strap of her handbag. Her eyes darted left and right as they approached the familiar waiting room just beyond the emergency wing.Lord Lucas stood still near a window, his back ramrod straight, one hand braced against the frame as though holding up the entire building. He didn’t turn as the trio entered. Victor sat hunched over on a plastic chair, his elbows on his knees, head bowed low between his arms like the world had dropped onto his shoulders. Lord Williams stood pacing back and forth, his fingers pressed to his lips, muttering silent prayers.Emilia’s voice cracked the silence like glass under pressure.“Is Rex…?” Her voice trembled. “Is he okay?”“Thank God you’re safe…” He whispered

Kyle narrowed his eyes at Ray, then flicked a glance toward Ray’s bodyguard at the far end of the room. The man stood statue-still, offering no reaction.Kyle returned his gaze to Ray and raised a brow.“Ehh… do you know that clown?”Ray’s throat worked slowly. “He looks a lot like my cousin.” He muttered. “My dead cousin…”Kyle’s eyebrows lifted. “Wait… what?”Ray nodded. “There’s no mistake. If this guy fights the way you’re saying…”Kyle cut in, waving the wine glass casually. “Fights like? No, no, Ray. He doesn’t ‘fight like.’ That dude fights like a martial arts beast. I mean, twenty-five trained men and he made it look like a bloody dance routine. It was a freakin’ ballet with bruises.”Ray’s jaw tightened. He stared at Jack’s image again, his voice low.“If that’s true… then there’s a chance Jack Adams survived. Just like Scott Benjamin.”He spun slightly, turning toward Kyle to speak further, but before a single word could leave his lips, his phone vibrated sharply in his

The room fell into a sudden, suffocating silence.Jack’s breath held in his chest. Lord Leo stood next to him, motionless, his eyes fixed on the man in the doorway like he’d seen a phantom claw its way out of the grave.“Kyle Rick…” Jack whispered again.Kyle’s smile was slow and wide, the kind that carved creases into the corners of his mouth, almost boyish except for the malice that dripped from it.Lord Leo took a slow, cautious step forward, disbelief wrapping around his voice like chains. “But… How can this be? You died. We all saw the reports. Nike Wayne stabbed you in that prison cell,he killed you.”Kyle chuckled slowly, the sound rough and jagged like broken glass scraping against concrete. “Yeah.” He said with a tilt of the head. “That’s what I thought too. That I died. You could say I’m just as surprised as you are.”He stepped deeper into the room, his boots thudding on the concrete.“You could also say… I was reborn.”Emilia groaned loudly from behind Jack, her eyes

The overhead bulb swung slowly, casting fractured shadows across the cracked floor. Emilia’s gaze remained locked on the figure before her, her chest rising and falling rapidly. Her lips parted, trembling, as if trying to make sense of a ghost standing before her.“Kyle…” She murmured, her voice hoarse. “Kyle Rick, but… how are you…”Kyle Rick lifted a hand with a smirk, stopping her mid-sentence.“How am I alive? That’s the question I asked myself… the moment I opened my eyes.”He strode toward her slowly, each footstep echoing in the metal room, then pulled a metal chair and sat directly across from her, eyes gleaming with twisted amusement.“You see, the last time I was in Blue Heavens, I was in chains. Tossed into prison like a rabid dog. Abandoned by the very people who used me.”His voice darkened, dripping with venom.“Then came Nike Wayne. That sanctimonious bastard.”His hand slowly clenched into a fist, knuckles whitening.“He came to my cell with that smug little grin. I r

The cold white light of the hospital corridor buzzed overhead, washing the walls in sterile indifference. Jack stood abruptly, his back straight as steel, eyes locked on Lord Leo, who lowered the phone from his ear. Jack’s voice came out like a blade scraping gravel.“What did Scott say?”Victor raised his head slowly, his tear-glazed eyes blinking through the weight of trauma.“What’s going on…?”Lord Leo looked between them, still trying to absorb the rush of information.“Scott and Zulu… they saw everything on the surveillance feeds from the festival.” He said. “They’re tracking the black van,the kidnappers didn’t cover their license plate.”“They what?” Jack snapped, the fire in his eyes igniting. “Idiots.”“Zulu’s already running a full trace.” Lord Leo added. “Scott says they’re close.”Jack’s fists tightened. “How close?”Before Lord Leo could respond, Scott’s voice came again from the speaker, sharp and alive with urgency.“We’ve got them. The van’s stationary. It’s at

The night air turned ice cold in Jack’s lungs as he tore through the narrow alleyways, Lord Leo on his heels. Footsteps thundered against the cobblestones. The crowd behind them was a blur, swallowed in a whirlwind of chaos as screams erupted where Rex had once stood. Jack’s hand was tight around the walkie-talkie, his breath shallow and his mind screaming the same thought over and over again…He’s been shot.In the distance, Victor’s agonized cry rang like a bell of horror. "NO!”Victor dropped to his knees beside his brother, trembling as blood gushed from the wound in Rex’s abdomen. Rex was gasping, one hand pressed weakly to his gut, the other limp at his side. His tan shirt was soaked in scarlet. Victor ripped off his jacket and pressed it down hard.“Stay with me, dammit. Stay with me, Rex!”Lord Leo reached them first, panting, his eyes going wide at the scene. His knees nearly buckled at the sight of Rex lying in a pool of his own blood. Without wasting another second, he f
