Jack lay unconscious in his bed, his body limp, sweat glistening on his brow. But inside his mind, a storm raged.

Darkness surrounded him. Cold wind howled through an endless void. Then he heard familiar voices.

“Jack… Jack…”

He turned, squinting through the haze. A shoreline emerged. Waves crashed violently as he sprinted toward the sound.

“Mom? Dad? Sisters?”

He called, panic swelling in his chest. Ahead in the distance his family, thrashing in the wild ocean, their arms outstretched.

“No!”

Jack screamed as he dove forward but the sea didn’t let him in. A transparent barrier stopped him like glass between worlds. He pounded against it helplessly, watching as the waves swallowed the people he loved.

His screams tore through the dream and the real world.

“NO!”

Jack shot upright, gasping, drenched in sweat. Lord Leo was at his side instantly, gripping his shoulders. Scott Benjamin stood close, eyes alert.

“You’re okay, Jack. It’s just a dream.”

Leo said firmly.

Jack’s chest heaved.

Emilia's voice trembled as she shifted beneath the crisp hospital sheets. "I need to find my brother… I need to find Clark."She tried to swing her legs off the bed, but a sharp bolt of pain raced up her spine. Her breath hitched, and she let out a soft, stifled cry.“Easy, child!" Mrs Beatrice rushed to her side, gently holding her shoulders. “You’re not strong enough yet.”Before Emilia could protest, Lord Williams stepped closer, his voice firm but soothing. “You don’t need to worry about that, my dear. I’ve already sent out an alert to every precinct. The top detectives are on it, and the city’s commander assured me Clark will be found. They won’t rest until he is.”Emilia lifted her head, managing a grateful smile despite her pale face. Her eyes wandered to Lord Leo, her tone soft but laced with concern. “And Jack… is he still here in the hospital?”Lord Leo smiled. “No, he was discharged yesterday. He’s back at the mansion and he’s fine but he needs to get some rest.”She

“You’ve grown, Clark Williams.” A voice came smooth and strangely nostalgic. “Would you believe… I helped deliver you in the labor room?”Clark blinked, trying to focus. His head throbbed. The dim room spun slowly, lit by a single hanging bulb that swayed above him. He sat slouched against a damp wall, one arm bound tightly in bandages, pain pulsing with every breath.Across the room, a familiar face stepped into view and it was Doctor Chong. He was older now, lines carved into his face, but the glint in his eyes hadn’t changed.Clark struggled to sit straighter. “Where… where am I?” His voice rasped. “What is this place?”Doctor Chong moved calmly across the room, hands folded behind his back as if giving a lecture. “Somewhere no one will ever find you. Somewhere safe… for now.”Clark narrowed his eyes. “And Jack? Emilia? What did you do to them?”Doctor Chong let out a dry laugh, like the creak of rusted metal. “Jack’s alive. My men made sure he wouldn’t die, yet. But he won’

The door creaked behind them as Lord Leo and Jack entered the mansion, their shoes clicking softly against the marble floor. Jack’s eyes darted toward the front gate. His eyes widened in shock. “That’s not right.” He muttered as began to walk fast towards the door.“Easy.” Lord Leo warned, pulling Jack back slightly. “If someone broke in, they could be armed.”Ignoring the warning, Jack pushed the door open, heart pounding. His eyes widened as they landed on a man lounging comfortably on the living room sofa, clad in a sleek black tuxedo. A crystal glass of red wine was poised in his hand, and a calm, familiar smile played across his lips.“Hey, Master Jack.” The man greeted him smoothly. “Good to see you again.”Jack’s jaw tensed. “Scott Benjamin? What the hell are you doing here and how did you even find this place?”Scott lifted the glass to his lips and sipped, then gestured lazily toward the butler, who stood nervously by the corner. “Your butler was kind enough to serve

The tension in the air still hung heavy as Lord Leo dragged Lord Williams out of the holding room, leaving only Jack and the restrained Lord Lucas behind. The steel door creaked shut behind them with a hollow echo.Jack turned slowly to face Lord Lucas, stepping closer. His gaze was sharp now,not filled with anger, but cold clarity.“Tell me the truth.” Jack said, his voice low, barely above a whisper. “Who’s responsible for the assassination attempt?”Lord Lucas narrowed his eyes.“Don’t lie to me.” Jack continued. “I know about the messages… between you and Doctor Chong.”Lucas’s brow lifted slightly, a flicker of disbelief crossing his face. “What messages?”Jack didn’t blink. “The ones you two sent. The conversations you thought no one would ever see.”Lord Lucas snorted. “I don’t know what you’re talking about. Doctor Chong and I aren’t even on good terms. Not since… the incident.”At that moment, the door creaked again and Lord Leo stepped back into the room. “What incid

Early Morning Light Filtering In. Jack sat quietly on the hospital bed, his shoulder bandaged, a faint bruising shadowing his jaw.He winced as he shifted, still sore, his body reminding him of every second of the ambush. The room smelled faintly of antiseptic and fresh linen. A gentle knock echoed before the door creaked open.Lord Leo stepped inside, his expression tight and unreadable.Jack straightened slightly. “What’s wrong?”Lord Leo stepped closer, a folded newspaper in hand. He passed it to Jack wordlessly. The headline screamed in bold red:"LORD LUCAS ARRESTED IN CONNECTION TO ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT – CLAIMS HE'S BEEN FRAMED!” Jack’s eyes scanned the words. He paused, staring at the line that described Lucas shouting about his innocence as officers dragged him into custody.“He says he’s been framed.” Lord Leo said quietly, watching Jack’s reaction.Jack stared at the paper, lips pressed into a thin line. His fingers tightened on the page. “Framed…?” His voice trailed o
