Chapter 17: Tournament begins

It's being two days after the Destruction of the Yirioashi Village, Everything bounced back to normal as no one wanted to be reminded of the Destruction, Layla begged her father to release both Emily and Curtis to her.

The Emperor was about to slay them after figuring out that they are worthless and Children of the Yirioashi Village Chief but Layla begged her father to spare them and give them to her because she needs friends.

Emperor Karsas set both Emily and Curtis free from their dungeon and they were released from bondage, but they are the official friends of Layla...Just like a slave but free slaves for Layla to play with.

The Emperor saw how Layla happily played with her new friends together with Jade and Jace and he decided to cancel any plans to have them killed, They are making his daughter happy again.

Emperor Karsas could be seen relaxing his back on his throne with his maids serving him delicious foods and strawberries, He gulp down a wonderful strawberry into his mouth and that made him smile.

Two minutes later, The Drios and the Council Members walked into the throne room and they demanded attention from the Emperor.

" What is it? " Emperor Karsas asked.

" We have gotten the twenty warriors for the Ultimate Tournament of your desired, Twenty abled warriors from the Empire and they all have their lesser powers " Drio Unere voiced out and the Emperor smiled.

" What about the arena? " Emperor Karsas asked.

" We have arranged the Sudom Valley for the Tournament, The stages have been all set and the prize money is being arrange, All you need to do is to say when the Tournament shall begin afterwards " Drio Konin said.

" Very good Drios, I am happy that you all devoted your time to witness this Tournament just like me, I hope that this miscreants won't disappoint " Emperor Karsas said, He looked around to see where Zaibon is.

" And if I may ask, why is Zaibon not here? " Emperor Karsas asked.

" He is part of the Cabinet members that has devoted their all to kick off the tournament with your orders, He is a worthy man after all " Drio James voiced out with dark smile plastered on his face.

" He is, James, Do you know how Many times Zaibon has saved my daughter's life and my life as well, He is like a Vicious warrior who wields dark powers and I don't care to know his origin " Emperor Karsas said.

" Oh really? Then I won't bother to know his true identity if you aren't that bothered to know it, I need to relax my back right now " Drio James stated and he walked out of the hall, He ran to one corner, his eyes glowed and the Reality changed at once.

" The Priestess? "

James called out, He appeared in a world far from the mortal world, The world of immortality and he is here to see the priestess of his Clan, Only him and Craig has the connection to enter this Realm.

" James Vragon! Why hath thou here to see me? " The Priestess voices out from the shadows, James sensed her presence from the Darkness but he didn't even seem bothered to care about it a single bit.

" Is that a way to show your respect priestess? I made you what you are " James stated, The Priestess emerged out of the Darkness and she fell on her knees and bowed before James who smiled sheepishly.

" My Lord, Why hath thou here? " The Priestess asked.

" I gave you this position and made you unknown to every being because of the day of my Destruction, I can see it and it is near but I need to ask questions about the being called Zaibon, What has he become? " James asked.

" Zaibon was the son of the Drio who is controlling the MaliKian Clan two hundred years ago, He suffered your torture and he has returned to have his Revenge, I may not know the source of his powers but it is really dark " The Priestess answered.

" I know about that already, His power source is unknown but I can still recognized the auras coming out of his body, It's just like the Dark One is alive again " James said and the priestess raised up her head to see James.

" He is alive " The Priestess said.

" What? I don't understand? " James asked.

" The Dark One is alive, You may have sealed him along time ago but I can now sense his energy, I remember you fought and defeated him when you were still divine right? Someone evil has managed to awaken the Dark One once again " The Priestess answered.

" I now understand why I couldn't recognize the auras but it was simply familiar to me, He might have figured out a way to make me forget about him and his plans once again " James said and the Priestess nodded.

"  My Lord, you need to be careful...All this evil are out there to kill you " The Priestess said and James smiled, He knows that already and he isn't afraid of dying, After all he only lived in the human world for four centuries but he is more older than that.

" I know about that, And what about my children? " James asked.

" There powers are divine so it will be difficult to steal it, And the Prophecy still stands If you don't return to the Cosmic realm, two of your sons shall become heartless beast who will wreck havoc on the land " The Priestess warned.

" Let's just watch as it goes, I am not returning back up there... Octavia died as a goddess in this world and I am going to die as well...The Cosmic realm isn't fun as it was, I have made my decisions " James stated.

" Very well then my Lord, There is one thing you need to know before you leave this realm " The Priestess said.

" And what may that be Priestess? " James asked curiously, The Priestess stood up from the ground, Chanted ancient tongue and a dark book opened up immediately, James opened his mouth in shock.

" The DarkHold is...."

" Yes my Lord, the DarkHold is Awakened and that means there is a new Dark Priest who controls the realms of the DarkHold, The Magic of Chaos, I don't know what is really happening but it isn't good at all " The Priestess said.

" This is serious my dear priestess, find out who the Dark Priest is and let me know " James ordered and he disappeared from the realm immediately, He appeared inside his chambers with smiles on his face.

The Children of the Drios and Ministers were all playing outside of the Emperor's Castle when Layla brought out Emily and Curtis to show her friends, Emily could be seen smiling nervously as Layla dragged her out.

" Hello friends, This is my new friend Emily and this is her brother Curtis " Layla announced with smiles on her face.

" But isn't she and her brother a commoner? " Slade asked.

" Yes, she was a commoner but not anymore because I will make my father to see her and her brother as a special being in this palace and besides you all should be her friend, She is fun to play with " Layla said.

" Well I don't care to know if you are a commoner once or not, I will still be your friend, My name is Briella and I am daughter of the Drio of Nakraki Clan and this is my twin sister Criella " Briella said as she pulled Emily for a hug, Emily smiled and hugged back, Atleast having one more friend is enough.

" It's nice to meet you all, I can believe that I will be standing in the Emperor's palace and seeing you all royalties without my head being chopped off and served to the Hyenas " Emily said and everyone laughed.

" She is funny, I like her " Amaya said.

" Well beautiful girl, you can sit beside me and let's play " O'connor suggested and then the Vragons walked into the scene, They were just done with eating their delicious food and they are out to play.

" Jade, It's good to see you " Layla stated and she ran to hug Jade immediately, Jace winked at Emily but she didn't even seems happy, Her attention were fixed on the hugging and she became jealous but no one noticed it.

" Well everyone, We have some minutes more before the fun starts, We are all going to the Sudom Valley for the Ultimate Tournament " Jace said and everyone jumped up in excitement about the tournament.

" How many more time do we have left? " Slade asked.

" Well I don't know how to calculate time, My father hasn't thought me that yet and I don't care to know, Let's just play " Jace answered and they all rushed into the playground, Playing all manner of games and the attention were fixed on the new friend Emily.

Curtis just stood at the back sitting and watching everyone play with Emily, He sadly watched with tears attempting to fall, Then all of a sudden Jade who had noticed it already went and sat beside him.

" Don't worry Curtis, You are not alone... Should we go somewhere else to play? " Jade asked and Curtis nodded, 

" Sweet, I have somewhere cool for us to relax, Only the two of us " Jade said with smiles on his face, He stood up from where they were sitting and he dragged Curtis to his feet, They both ran into the Castle with happiness.

" This will be fun, Hehehe! "
