Blown out War
“Scarlet? Scarlet!”
A mixture of emotions, a rush of anger, pain in his chest. A gross feeling of disappointment and eventually, seething at the sight before him.
Scarlet was stripped to nudity and being taken in the most lascivious manner by a man whom he had never seen.
Kai struggled to breathe.
He was blinded by rage and inner bitterness.
“Oh Kai…” Scarlet moaned his name, “why are you distracting such a beautiful moment?”
She did not stop moaning above the fellow.
Her butt was facing him directly as she was riding the fellow.
“Who the hell is that fellow?” The man asked, raising his head to catch a glimpse of Kai's distraught face.
Scarlet turned around and looked at him with disdain.
“Ignore him Henry…” she said, turning his head back to her and smashing her lips against his, passionately. “That is just my trashy husband.”
Kai felt like a his heart was sliced with a knife.
The man waved at Kai to go away, “you are making me lose my focus on this soulful act,” he added, kissing Scarlet so hard and so deeply.
Kai felt that surge of anger coming from within him. It was bad enough that the fellow was fucking his wife now, he was being sent away like some scum.
Kai could not hold back his anger, he stormed into the pair and gripped Scarlet with his hands, yanking her off from her lover's body.
Then, he threw a punch at Henry, her lover groaning angrily.
“How dare you sleep with my wife?” His voice was cracked and filled with emotions.
Henry got up hastily and pulled Kai by his hair. Kai struggled to throw another punch at Henry's side ribs but he ducked.
“Do not flatter yourself,” Henry smirked at him and hit his head on the wall.
“Ouch…” Kai groaned and landed on the floor, holding his head.
“I haven't even started with you,” Henry mocked, kicking his side fiercely.
Kai winced from the pain he felt . He thought he could take on the man, unfortunately he was wrong. Henry appeared to be stronger than he had estimated and was beating him black and blue.
“Help! Kai cried out, stretching out his palm to his wife who was seated on the foot of the mattress still naked, her slender legs crossed.
“You brought it upon yourself, deal with it!”
Her cold stare and mocking laughter at his cries caused Kai to shut his eyes.
Henry punched him tirelessly, kicking his belly multiple times, not bothered by the blood that was gushing out of his mouth.
“It's alright babe,” Scarlet said, touching his arm gently. “The fool is not worth a jail term.”
Henry understood what she meant because Kai coils barely breathe now. He was dizzy and his eyes were dim.
“I want to end his life and we could give him a private burial ceremony. Isn't that a good idea babe?” He mocked Kai, standing over him and kissing Scarlet hard on her lips.
“Ignore him…” Scarlet replied, her voice disappearing into gentle moans. He detangled from her and pushed Kai out of the bedroom, to the corridor and banged the door.
There were blood stains all over the place but the two were unperturbed.
Kai lay there, nearly lifeless. He could not stand on his feet and could not say a word. His face was swollen and his ribs hurt like crazy.
While he was there, he could still hear his wife moaning from the pleasurable act that she was encountering.
“Oh…I love you so much,” Henry groaned and Scarlet replied with the same energy as the two reached their climax, disturbing the silence of the house with their loud moans.
“That was heavenly,” Henry whispered in her ears, pulling away from her and stepping into the bathroom for a shower.
“You need to get rid of that fool as soon as possible,” Henry mentioned, letting the water drip down his body.
“I cannot do that now babe. It will raise suspicions. I am only trying to make sure that your wife does not get to know that you are the father of our baby.”
“But the fool thinks he can compete with me for your love!” Henry slammed his hand against the wall, “and that pisses me off big time!”
Scarlet walked up to him where he was in the bath and stepped under the shower with him, her hands wrapping him.
“It is only for a while babe. We know what we want. We need him here as a pun.”
“Can't we find someone else? Someone more understanding and less inquisitive?”
Henry was truly furious, even his breathing was becoming laboured as they talked about possible ways to put an end to Kai once and for all.
“We could kill him and then you would become his widow and that makes it less suspicious. Isn't it?”
“I do not love Kai, but I don't want us to have blood on our hands, Henry. Killing him will not be the best of options.”
Henry groaned and stepped out of the bath and walked up to the bedroom to get dressed.
“When is your next hospital appointment?”
“In two days,” Scarlet moaned beside him, kissing his neck.
Henry drew her in for a final kiss and bid her goodbye.
He opened the door and found Kai still laying on the floor. He had not moved a bit.
“Son of a bitch!” He spat on him and crossed him over to make his way out of the Ross resident.
Scarlet stepped out too and found Kai, his eyes slowly opened and he cast her a glance that reflected his pain and inner traumas.
“Get up and get your stinking self away from my door!” She yelled at him, kicking his feet out of her way. “I am sick and tired of seeing your horrible face in my life every second.”.
She walked past him, tying up her sleeping robe and hissing heavily.
Kai stayed down there for almost an hour, trying to regain some strength to be able to get himself to the hospital. He knew that his bones would be badly fractured because they hurt so badly.
After what seemed like forever, Kai summoned the energy to stand on his feet . He pulled himself up, wincing with pain at the shattering pain that pierced his sides.
“Oh Lord, please save me from this horror today and I will find my way out of this coven.” His voice was filled with pain and shaking as well.
Kai painstakingly dragged himself gently down the hallway.
He could hear Valentina's laughter and Scarlet's voice. They seemed to be having a conversation that seemed juicy for the both of them.
When he got down, he saw that he could not go on alone, so he stretched out his arm towards his wife and her mother.
“P_please, help me Scarlet. I need to get to the hospital.”
His eyes were dim and his mouth filled with blood stains. He was not breathing fine because of all the punches that he received to his ribs.
“What happened to him?” Valentina asked, looking at him with a confused glare.
“He tried to fight Henry,” Scarlet replied casually without even looking towards Kai.
Valentina had mixed feelings. Not that she felt pity for Kai but she felt like if he had died, they would have been in trouble.
“Why did you let Henry do this to him, Scarlet? Valentina was slightly Annoyed.
“Are you going to defend him?” Scarlet asked, looking at her mother.
“That was not my idea. All I am saying is that you and Henry need to take precautions.”
Kai was still pleading but their ears were deafened to his pleas and the reality got to him.
“I have got to get myself to the damn hospital,” he thought as he walked over to the door, staggering as he did.
Valentina still cautioned Scarlet, “ you just pray nothing happens to him because this
could lead to some deepened case.”
Scarlet scoffed at him as he walked out of the door.
It was terribly dreadful for him.

Kai’s heart thudded like a caged bird as he stepped into the marble-floored foyer of the Mitchell estate—a place he hadn’t seen in years. The air was cool and smelled faintly of polished wood and old money, a stark contrast to the damp, cluttered apartments of his recent past. He could almost hear the ghostly echoes of childhood footsteps. Yet, today wasn’t about memories—it was about reclaiming a future. In the hushed quiet of the corridor, Kai’s footsteps faltered. His mind raced with questions he’d long avoided: Could a man so broken ever find a place among titans? Would his father’s towering shadow now provide shelter, or simply remind him of all that he had lost? He paused at a heavy oak door, its surface etched with the delicate filigree of a bygone era. His hand trembled before he knocked, a faint, cadenced knock that sounded far louder than he heard. The door creaked open, revealing James Mitchell standing there. His eyes, a steely gray softened by a hint of sorrow, met Kai’s

"Today's a new start, Kai," James announced the moment they stepped into a sparsely furnished training room. The room was more theater than gym—naked walls, frayed mats, and some equipment that had better days behind it. But it felt purposeful.Kai rocked back, knotted tension inside his belly. "I'm still that cowering kid," he admitted softly, his words raspy with emotion. "Every punch I take, every step I take—it still throbs like I'm there by myself."James nodded, his expression solemn but gentle. "It's not about forgetting the past, son. It's about applying it. I want you to see each scar as proof of survival, as inspiration for what's ahead." He stopped, looking around the room. "We have a lot to work through today."From the corner, a man with a calm yet determined tone joined in. “I’m Marcus,” he introduced himself, extending a calloused hand. “I’ve been working with James for years. Let’s start with the basics—your body is your fortress, Kai.”Kai took Marcus’s hand, feeling

"Kai, may I have a minute?" a gentle voice asked as lights above hummed in harmony. Kai's breath quickened and he stopped at a bend in the mansion's less-traveled hallway. "Who is this?" he answered back, his own voice whisper-thin and guarded, all in spite of the whirlpool of emotions buried beneath his peaceful façade.A lean, tall figure emerged out of the shadows—a woman, young and with eyes that darted nervously but shone with unspoken truths. "Name's Lydia," she whispered close, almost as if she spoke into his heart rather than his ears. "I—I've served in the Ross house for years, and I… I know things. Things you have to know."Kai's brow furrowed as he stepped forward. "What do you mean, things I need to know?" After all of it. His voice held a note of both suspicion and a desperate hope that finally, someone cared enough to inform him of the things no one ever said.Lydia glanced about, her voice trembling as she continued, "I've seen it all—every cruel word, every distorted p

"Did you hear what Madame Tilda whispered this morning?" Mark, the veteran butler, whispered as he stepped in close to Rosa, a timid maid, by the kitchen door."I did," Rosa whispered. "She said that even the lady of the house appears… troubled. I've seen Scarlett pacing in her room, muttering to herself. And Henry… he just shrugs, like nothing matters.".Mark's eyes narrowed. "You think it's because of that drama with Kai? I heard some of the younger staff say that there are fault lines in how they do things nowadays.".As it stood, there came a shy rap at the pantry door. Lena, junior cook and clever one, flew in. "I simply couldn't remain outside," she said, shivering with pent-up feeling. "I overheard Scarlett on the telephone. She was in tears over a gaffe in the guest list for the banquet tomorrow night."Rosa's fists were clenched in the apron as she answered, "Oh, dear. What about Henry? "Kai, are you sure you want to do this?" Marcus breathed quietly as they slipped through the side door of the mansion. The air inside was thick with murmured secrets and suppressed tension. Kai's voice trembled, "I need to see it for myself, Marcus. I need to know what they have been hiding from me.".“I get it, man,” Marcus replied softly. “But remember, you’re here incognito. "Kai, tonight it's happening," Marcus whispered softly and urgently as he and Kai crouched in a secluded corner of a pricey boardroom at a high-profile industry conference. "The Meridian Capital deal—a massive piece of the Ross empire—is going to be signed tonight."Kai bent forward, his voice stern but with an underlying passion, "I know, Marcus. Meridian has provided the financial core of Ross's business for much too long. If we manage to scupper this deal, it'll be the first big crack in their hold.""Right," said Marcus, "and I've made arrangements through our insider sources. Layla promised me that several key files and emails that prove fraudulent transactions are in position. They are kept on Meridian's secure servers."Kai’s eyes narrowed, and his tone grew firm, “This coup is the culmination of everything—the long nights spent piecing together evidence, every whispered secret from disillusioned insiders. It’s time to strike at the heart of their machinery.”Then there was Ele

"There's a tangled web in the Ross financial transactions—offshore accounts that are not declared, internal memos plotting unauthorized transfers, and even schedules of clandestine meetings between senior officials. Layla's insider evidence is the key.".There was a pause before Kai answered, "That's the kind of truth we're looking for. If we can attack them where their money is being tampered with and their transactions sealed by fraud, we may finally crack their operation wide open."."Ah yes indeed," Marcus stated. Clarissa whispered softly and worriedly as they stood clasped together in a tiny back office room far out of sight of curious eyes.Scarlett's answer was laced with bitterness, "Day by day, it feels like my carefully built reputation is crumbling. The emails which were meant to be flawless now have errors, and the board members are already questioning the decisions I have made.""Are you referring to the previous quarterly report?" Clarissa asked softly, worry on her face."Just exactly," Scarlett shot back, her fists bunching into tight fists, "I published the forecast and—ugh—there were errors. It wasn't an error. "We've gathered our evidence, and now we need to decide how to use it. I believe we should create a dossier so comprehensive that even their most ardent supporters can't help but discredit it."Elena nodded discreetly, "I've already started gathering documents, tapes, and testimony. Each piece of proof is a stone in the structure of our plan."Julian's voice dropped, his words measured, "We need to take care how we release this. One poor leak and the whole mission is over."
