Chapter 2 – Stubbornly Kidnapped

When Leo climbed out of the lake, he immediately began to run helter-skelter around the forest since he had no idea where he was coming from.

“Wait there, little human.” A domineering voice pierced into Leo’s ears followed by a heavy gust of wind that swept him off his feet.

“Ow!” Leo cried with the itching sensation from a small cut. He turned around to see the person or animal that chased behind him but was immediately dumbfounded upon seeing a huge black reptile floating mid-air with its gigantic wings moving rhythmically.

He stood up from the ground with a confused face after seeing the creature, now even ignoring the heavy pressure before him.

‘I can’t believe it. I thought daddy said dragons aren’t real.’ Leo felt a spark trigger in him, and a wide smile appeared on his face. He slowly advanced towards the dragon after some seconds of pondering with his arms stretched forward like he was called for an embrace.

“Ca…can I touc.. touch you?”

“Learn to have some respect little child.” The dragon gave a weird smile and stretched his wings to Leo who looked fascinated. When the black bony wings reached Leo’s grip, he immediately began to caress them with his eyes closed, making the wings seem attractive to anyone who was around there.

The smile of the dragon slowly transformed into a frown as the caressing became too unbearable, he dragged his wings away from the little boy, “Okay, enough touching.”

“Uh-huh.” Leo gave a wicked smile and drew his hands to the air. Some seconds after the sudden movement, a bright light illuminated his palms, and a golden transparent little dragon, exactly the shape of the dragon before him appeared mid-air while flapping his wings.

“Good trick, little boy.” The dragon smiled and landed on the ground, “Now would you mind following me to my home?”

Leo’s eyebrow shot to the sky after hearing the question that sounded very offensive but ignored it as he bent to the ground and picked up a handful of dirt before spraying it at the transparent dragon. The dragon in return turned from being transparent into a dusty brown color that matched the dirt thrown at it.

“Very impressive kid, you keep piquing my interest. If not for the fact that I want you, you’ll be dead by now.”

Leo once again ignored the words of the dragon and continued to control the movements of the mimicking dragon. The dragon who stood in front of Leo turned red with a red tint slowly gathering up in his neck.

“Are you ignoring me!”

“I thought you’ll never find out. I only came to calm my anger and I won’t be the food or toy of any dragon. Even if you are all legendary.”

“You are really ignorant kid, people will kill to see me. And yet, with such an encounter you can see me once in your lifetime.” A thick arrow of black smock escaped from the dragon’s breath as the fire-red tint in his neck level grew more vivid.

“And who cares if I ever see you in my life? After all, what advantage are you to me?” The sarcastic voice of Leo boomed into the surrounding, even annoying the dragon a step further, “And by the way, it wasn’t nice meeting you, bye!”

Leo arrogantly began to make his way out of the scene into an unknown direction, and at the same time pretended to know his destination. The dragon on the other hand suddenly went into a burst of outrageous laughter.

“You clearly don’t know where you’re going little kid. Follow me to my lair if you want to live.”

Leo turned his gaze to the dragon the next minute with a freakish smile, “Again, my answer is a bold no!”

“And if I insist what can you do?”

When Leo perceived the dangerous aura escaping from the dragon, he quickly turned around in an attempt to run away, but all his movements looked slow before the creature that stood still like a dragon statue.

Meanwhile, the former red tint in the dragon neck was immediately replaced with a frosting blue color. When Leo was situated a few meters away from the dragon, a cone of blue thick fog escaped from the wide mouth of the dragon, directly making its way to the powerless ten years old boy who could only grit his teeth as the blue fog engulfed him into a state of silence.

“Now be an obedient child and don’t move the slightest, else you’ll end up breaking all of your limbs.” The dragon immediately transformed into a muscular young man while cat walking toward Leo who stood still with a cold steam emanating from him.

…..

The sight of hundreds or even thousands of pieces of jewelry scared Leo to the core as he laid directly on top of them like they were nothing.

Leo was currently in an underground lair that was habituated to the size of the black dragon, there were multiple colorful lines embodied on the dark wall that gave a mysterious feeling. The dragon appeared some seconds later now in its original form.

The red tint on its neck appeared immediately and a cone of red flames engulfed Leo’s frosted skin for a few seconds and immediately died out.

“How dare you kidnap me! why do you even want me here, as food?” Leo felt an overwhelming fear fill his heart while staring at the dragon who looked less concerned. He turned around to the bright part of the cave and ran towards it, but unfortunately, it seemed to be protected by an invincible force.

“Get me out of here!”

“And why do you think I’ll do that.” The dragon slowly transformed into a husky man and then fell upon the heap of gold, “From now henceforth, you are my child. I overheard you insulting the village…”

“Oh, is this my punishment for that?” Leo quickly interrupted the dragon with a sadistic face. His eyes began to gather tears after seeing the less concerned expression on the dragon’s face.

The dragon turned his gaze to the crying latter far in front of him with a wicked smile.

“How will I punish you for something I’m guilty of? But anyways, my name is Bel…”

“Whatever your name is!” Leo said with a menacing scream that startled even the dragon,

“You can’t kidnap me, neither can I live with you, not even for a day.”

The dragon stood up from the heap of gold coins and slowly advanced toward him, “My name is Bel, and you’ll live with me till further notice. Don’t worry, our journey will be fun.”

When Bel stood directly in front of Leo, he stretched his arms to the air and landed a brain-jotting slap on his cheeks. Leo in response fell to the ground to the unbearable pain that tortured him into the furthest part of his cheek.

“That is impossible, I’ll never live with a monster.”

“Yet, you’ll be forced to do so! Now for the sake of your limbs, tell me your ability.”

Leo looked reluctant to say a word, but the recurring slap and the threatening words could only make him shiver in fright, “A summoner and an illusionist.”

"You seem eager to leave here, young man?" A young and husky voice reverberated from one of the prison cells, and a fairly muscular man revealed himself from the shadows. Oh, that dragon, why isn't it here to save you the way he did before!" "Haha! Stupidly funny. Fortunately, I do not need assistance from any dragon cause I'll be out of here before you know it."
