Abyss Eighth layer, Primordial Infernal Realm
A huge city could be seen floating in space, seven pillars stretched from the edges into space, inscriptions of different languages were drawn on them with tongues of flames swirling round them. The huge city stood towering over nearby planets like a distinct beacon from afar. In the city, towering buildings of different sizes were erected, the walls made of blazing red sapphire bricks with races of all kind walking in the city. In the capital of the Primordial Infernal Realm a Guard rushed into the throne hall, a look of enthusiasm and worship evident on his face. Crouching onto the ground as a sign of obeisance towards the figure seated atop the throne. "You seem to have something important for me." A voice came from the throne. "Lord Yan Ming, the border at Anixia is under attack by the Primordial Divine realm, the ruler of the Divine realm Tian Yi is leading the divine forces to take down Anixia herself, we need your assistance to hold her down." Listening to the report Yan Ming raised an eyebrow, turned his head to look out of the city spanning more than the size of six stars. His eyes narrowed down till he saw a thick membrane floating in space, a large hole could be seen in the membrane through which an army filled with white halo were crossing over. "Tian Yi really dares to invade the infernal realm? A century of peace and she already forgot the lessons from one hundred years ago." He said in an angry voice. The messenger who was still crouching on the ground trembled slightly, apprehensive of his fate. "Are the seven generals aware of this?" "They are already gathering the armies of the eight layers to secure Anixia and seal the breach." "Forget about sealing the breach, if she dares to invade and cost me so many losses I'll take back tenfold from her." Yan Ming said, stood up from the throne and vanished from the throne hall. The messenger stood up and left the throne hall. Outside the hall, a woman with long white hair, white eyes a fair skin as delicate as jade asked him. "What were his orders?" "We're invading the divine realm." "As expected of Yan Ming, he won't let go of a grievance that easily, counter invading is the least he'll do." She said then turned around and left without another word. "General Ao Yue! What are we going to do?" He said while running behind her. "What else? This is war and we won't let the divine realm go till we take back tenfold of what they took from us." She said with a glint in her eyes then vanished from the hallway. "She really is his wife, they're all so scary and have the same reasoning." He muttered. --- Anixia, a border region between the divine realm and the infernal realm. The universe was made up of three realms coexisting with each other to form a balance. The Mortal Realm The Divine Realm The Infernal Realm The cosmos birthed the three realms and each existed to compliment the other, a mortal is fated to die, after death the destination is rebirth in either the infernal realm or the divine realm. The Infernal Realm and Divine Realm are opposed to each other, they clash frequently but never involve the mortal Realm in their skirmishes. As opposed to that, their common goal is to protect the Mortal Realm and ensure it's peace. During the birth of chaos, the primordial origin gave birth to a few number of creations, creations born out of the chaos as the rulers of the three Realms. Tian Yi and her seven generals were ordained by chaos to rule over the Divine Realm. Yan Ming and his seven generals were ordained as the rulers of the Infernal Realm. Only those birthed from the cosmos or choosen by it could attain the final Realm of cultivation, the Primordial Sovereign Ascension Realm. Yan Ming and Tian Yi both stand at the pinnacle of the Primordial Sovereign Ascension Realm, at the very peak of power in the cosmos. Yan Ming appeared at the breach created by the Divine army in Anixia without a single sound or alerting anyone, he appeared like a silent ghost in the void staring down at the Divine army rampaging on the planets close to the breach with a calm look on his face. Raising his palm he called out "Come forth, Olethros" a surge of flames appeared on his palms spreading out onto the Divine army burning them till there was nothing left of their ashes. A single spark of the flame was enough to erase them totally, the flame of destruction Olethros one of the seven flames of hell commanded by Yan Ming had the attribute of erasing and destroying anything it touched! Defences won't help against it and armor were more than useless. The tides turned in an instant, the Divine army fell into panic watching the flames that appeared out of nowhere consume their numbers. The Infernal army cried out in Glee and chased after the Divine army, it seemed like the Divine army would fall due to the interference from Yan Ming when a bright halo fell from the skies onto the army cleansing them of the surging flames while the infernal army touched by the halo were scorched alive. Yan Ming raised his head and looked at the breach in the barrier, a woman with flowing white hair and eyes, and a white garment around her body could be seen floating in the space, just the sight of her would make anyone bow to her in worship. Yan Ming inspired fear and reverence into his followers while Tian Yi inspired awe and hope into her followers, it was an attribute that was attached to them right from birth, back when the two first met. "Tian Yi, looks like you missed me so much you couldn't stand it anymore after just a hundred years." Yan Ming said, his gaze fixated on Tian Yi who stood still in the void, the two totally ignored the battle ongoing in the nearby planets all the way to the barrier. "I didn't miss you Yan Ming, I've given you enough time to rest from the beating you got a hundred years ago." Yan Ming heard a light and soothing voice, even though the two were tens of thousands of light years away the voices felt like they were right beside their ears. "Looks like I was right, you sneak all the way here with your army and expect to leave alive without casualties? You underestimate me way too much Tian Yi, you know what I can do when I get angry." He said, his eyes gleaming red like sapphire forged from the pits of hell. "Seven flames of hell, come forth!."Latest Chapter
The Warden's Response
They made camp at the valley's edge as evening settled over the still lake, Yan Ming settlinginto meditation near the water's shore in hopes that whatever mechanism had first drawn theWarden's attention to this location might respond similarly to their return. Qing Chun keptwatch nearby, golden-white light occasionally flickering at her fingertips as she continued herown quiet practice while they waited.Hours passed without any sign of the Warden's return, the valley's silver-shimmering treesrustling softly in a gentle evening breeze, the lake's still surface reflecting the graduallyemerging stars with perfect, undisturbed clarity. Yan Ming was beginning to wonder if theattempt had been misguided when a familiar, layered voice finally broke the silence."You've returned sooner than I expected."Yan Ming's eyes opened immediately, finding the Warden seated on the same flat stone he'doccupied during their first encounter, grey robes settling around him as though he'd simplyalw
The Captives
The captured Concord agents proved considerably more forthcoming than the Tian clan's earlierinterrogation of the fleeing traitor's associates, whether from the visible devastation of theirfailed assault or simple exhaustion after weeks of demanding service to a cause several of themprivately admitted they'd never fully understood. Elder Rushan conducted the questioningpersonally, flanked by two of her most trusted elders, while Yan Ming observed from ashadowed corner of the interrogation chamber, old instinct sharpening at every fragment ofuseful information."Tell me about the array," Elder Rushan said to the most senior of the captured agents, aweathered man whose Ember Core cultivation marked him as considerably more experiencedthan his younger companions. "What have you heard about its purpose?"The agent hesitated, old loyalty warring visibly against the practical calculation of a man whounderstood his current position offered little room for continued defiance. "Only f
The Mountain Halls
Rest, as it turned out, proved shorter-lived than Elder Rushan's hospitality had promised. YanMing woke well before dawn to the unmistakable sensation of alarm formations activatingsomewhere deep within the mountain stronghold, old instinct pulling him upright beforeconscious thought had fully caught up to the danger."Something's wrong," he said, already reaching for Qing Chun's shoulder to wake her from theadjoining sleeping mat.She stirred immediately, years of travel together having sharpened her own reflexesconsiderably since their first weeks on the road. "What is it?""Alarm formations. I don't know the cause yet, but it's close." He was already moving towardthe chamber's entrance, crimson-gold flame kindling reflexively at his fingertips. "Stay close."They emerged into the stronghold's corridors to find them filled with hurrying clan members, some armed and moving toward the mountain's lower levels, others clearly civilians beingdirected toward secured inner chambers
The Ember Vale Request
Word arrived three days later, carried by a travel-worn messenger bearing the Ember ValeClan's insignia, requesting Yan Ming and Qing Chun's presence at their territory directly ratherthan continuing to coordinate purely through correspondence. Tian Shen read the letter twicebefore passing it across his study's desk, expression thoughtful."They're asking for more than information sharing," he said. "Their message suggests they'veencountered something specific — an artifact or technique recovered from a skirmish withConcord scouts, something they believe requires expertise beyond what their own elderscurrently possess.""And they think I'm the one who might understand it." Yan Ming scanned the letter's careful, formal phrasing, old wariness mixing with cautious curiosity. "Did they say what kind ofartifact?""Only that it bears markings unlike anything in their clan's historical records, and that it wasrecovered from a Concord agent killed during a border skirmish two weeks ag
Deeper Into the Seal
True to his word, Yan Ming began the following morning with a return to the deliberate, dangerous work of unsealing more of his restrained cultivation, retreating to a heavily wardedchamber deep within the Tian clan's palace that Tian Shen had personally arranged for exactlythis purpose — thick stone walls layered with containment formations, designed to absorb anyerrant surge of power that might otherwise threaten the surrounding structure."You're certain about pushing further?" Tian Shen asked, watching from the chamber'sthreshold as Yan Ming settled into a meditative stance at its center, the Restriction Key'spendant clutched carefully against his chest. "The scouts' report gave us months, not days. There's no need to rush this recklessly.""There's every need," Yan Ming replied, eyes already closed, breathing settling into the slow, measured rhythm of deep meditation. "Feng Lie Zun knows we're organizing against him now, thanks to the traitor's information. Whatever timeline
Terms of the Alliance
Morning arrived with the Tian clan's palace grounds still bearing faint scars of the previousday's assault — scorched stone along the archive wing's outer wall, freshly reinforced wardshumming visibly along every entrance, guards posted in numbers that hadn't been necessarybefore the traitor's betrayal had come to light. The assembled delegates reconvened in the greathall with considerably less ease than they'd carried into the summit's opening session, warinessnow coloring every exchange, every glance toward unfamiliar faces among their own retinues."Before we finalize anything," the Azure Tide Sect's representative said, arms crossed as shesurveyed the room, "I want assurances that yesterday's breach won't be repeated. If Concordagents can infiltrate the Tian clan's own staff, what's stopping them from doing the same to anyof our territories once this alliance becomes public knowledge?""Nothing, entirely," Tian Shen admitted, meeting her gaze without flinching from theunc
