Katherine Shaw was glowing. Draped in custom designer silk, wine glass swirling between manicured fingers, she basked in the applause, laughter, and fawning compliments from the city's social elite.

"Everything's perfect," she whispered to James, brushing a strand of hair over her shoulder with smug elegance. "Yemin's in jail. Faye's been publicly embarrassed. And I am the star tonight, as I should be."

James chuckled, though his smile twitched. "He's probably crying in a cell by now."

But before Katherine could sip her wine, the double doors to the grand ballroom slammed open again—loud enough to silence the music, loud enough to shatter the mood.

Gasps rippled through the room. Heads turned.

And then, he walked in.

Yemin Morgan.

Clean. Composed. His shirt freshly pressed. His face untouched by even a fingerprint. Like he had just stepped out of a boardroom, not a jail cell.

Katherine's wine glass slipped slightly in her fingers.

James nearly dropped his phone.

"Am I?" Katherine pulled out her phone and showed him a news article. "James, you need to understand something. People who cross certain individuals don't just lose their businesses. They disappear."James read the headline and frowned. "What does this have to do with Yemin?""Just promise me," Katherine pleaded. "Stay away from him. Don't do anything that might provoke him further."Meanwhile, in a secure conference room in an undisclosed location, the remaining members of the Sphinx organization gathered for an emergency meeting. The atmosphere was tense, with each member looking over their shoulders and questioning whether they were truly safe.Vincenzo Torrino, known as M7, sat at the head of the table, his weathered face grim with concern. To his left sat Lorenzo Romano (M4), Salvatore Greco (M5), and Antonio Ricci (M6). The three empty chairs where Joseph Ultra, Marco Benedetti, and the other deceased members once sat served as stark reminders of their mortality."Gentlemen," Vi

James's face turned an even deeper shade of red as Yemin's calm dismissal only fueled his rage further. The whispers and stares from other diners seemed to fade into background noise as his humiliation transformed into pure fury."Stop hiding behind Katherine's skirt and face me like a real man!" James shouted, his voice echoing through the elegant restaurant. "You think you can just walk away from me?"Several waiters moved nervously toward their table, unsure whether to intervene or call security. Faye looked between James and Yemin with growing confusion and embarrassment."Yemin," Faye said quietly, "why do you keep bringing up Katherine? What's going on here?"Yemin stood up calmly, placing his napkin on the table with deliberate precision. "James, I'm telling you one last time - you really should talk to your wife before you do anything you'll regret.""My wife?" James snarled. "What the hell does Katherine have to do with this? She can't stand you!""Ask her," Yemin replied sim

Maria looked between Yemin and Marcus, her mind struggling to process the situation. "You're not just a guard, are you?""No," Yemin admitted. "I'm not.""Then who—""It's time to go," Marcus interrupted gently. "The plane is waiting."As Marcus's assistants led Maria toward the car, she turned back one last time."Will I ever see you again?" she asked."Maybe someday," Yemin replied. "When it's safe."Maria nodded, clutching the envelope containing her new life. "Thank you, Yemin. For everything."As the car disappeared into the distance, Marcus turned to Yemin with a concerned expression."Are you sure about this?" Marcus asked. "She could be a liability.""She's innocent," Yemin replied firmly. "And she deserves a chance at a normal life."Three days later, Yemin returned to his modest apartment in the city, resuming his carefully constructed mundane existence. He had just finished unpacking when his phone rang."Yemin!" Faye's excited voice filled the room. "You're back! I was so

The motorcycle roared through the countryside as Yemin and Maria put distance between themselves and Marco's villa. The early morning sun cast long shadows across the winding roads, and the cool air whipped through their hair as they rode toward the city. After two hours of driving, Yemin pulled into a rest stop far from any surveillance cameras.Maria climbed off the bike, her legs shaky from the long ride and the adrenaline still coursing through her system."Yemin," she said, her voice trembling with confusion and fear."Why are we running? What happened back there?""We couldn't stay there anymore," Yemin replied simply, removing his helmet and scanning the area for any signs of pursuit."But why?" Maria pressed, tears beginning to form in her eyes."That job was everything to me. I'm an orphan, Yemin. I have no family, no other skills. Apart from that job, I had nothing else.""Maria—""Because of you, I'm now broke and jobless!" she continued, her voice rising with panic."I don

"Justin Castellanos?" Yemin's eyes sharpened with interest."The Supreme Leader himself," Marco said with vicious satisfaction. "And when Domenico Vitale and Matteo Rossi get involved, you'll wish you were never born."Yemin's expression remained unchanged throughout Marco's threats. When the crime boss finished his tirade, Yemin delivered a resounding slap across his face that snapped his head to the side with explosive force. The blow was so powerful that Marco's vision went white for several seconds. When his sight returned, he found himself staring at Yemin in stunned silence, his cheek burning with pain."Let me introduce myself properly," Yemin said, his voice taking on a deadly edge. "My name is Alexander Ashford. You and your organization killed my mother fifteen years ago."Marco's eyes widened in recognition and terror. The name Alexander Ashford was legendary within the Sphinx - the heir who had disappeared, the one they'd been hunting for years."No," Marco whispered, his

Yemin moved through Marco's private wing with the silence of a predator, his footsteps making no sound on the marble floors. The sedative he'd used was a military-grade compound that could drop an elephant for twenty-four hours - his three obstacles would remain unconscious well into the next evening.Marco's bedroom was at the end of a long corridor lined with priceless artwork.Yemin pushed open the heavy oak door and stepped inside, taking in the opulent surroundings. The room was larger than most apartments, with a king-sized bed positioned beneath a crystal chandelier and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the villa's gardens.Marco Benedetti lay sleeping peacefully, completely unaware that death had entered his sanctuary.Yemin approached the bed calmly and sat down on the edge of the mattress, the slight depression in the bed causing Marco to stir slightly."Marco," Yemin said softly, gently shaking the crime boss's shoulder."Time to wake up."Marco's eyes fluttered open, his
