Little Damon had no idea what was going on with his body. He felt thirsty all of a sudden, and a part of him was drawing him close to the patient they just brought in.
"Something is wrong. Something is really wrong. What is wrong with me?" He was scared and confused. This wasn't his plan at all. This wasn't what he wanted. How could he get attracted to an injured person?
"Am I about to eat someone up because I'm hungry? What kind of monster am I, then?" Little Damon cried inwardly.
He forced himself up the bed and sat down on the edge. Staring at the patient was making it harder for him, so to prevent that, he decided to look away, but his eyes would keep wandering to the patient's side at times.
It was frustrating, he hated it, and he thought of leaving the room so he could sort out his thoughts, but that was when someone spoke up...
"Wait for me here, I'm coming." The person who came with the patient said. He seemed to be leaving the room!
"Really? Don't stay long. The doctor should be here soon." The patient replied, and Damon shook his head, panicking. "This isn't right..."
"Don't leave, please. Just stay behind like this and watch me leave the room first. I don't know... I really don't know what will happen if I'm left alone with her." He cried inwardly, but he found it hard to say it out.
One part of him wanted the person to stay with the patient, but another part of him wanted the person to leave, so he was confused. He was torn between what to wish for and what not to wish for, and before he could decide, he saw the person open the door and leave the room, leaving him alone with the patient!
Immediately, his stomach churned loudly, and he groaned in pain. The hunger pang was greatly affecting him, threatening to help him lose his mind... He was confused.
"Are you hungry?" The patient asked gently. She was a young girl too, probably older than the human Damon, but she was still a student as she was dressed in a uniform.
Damon quickly looked away, trying his best not to look at her. "I'm okay. I will go out to get something to eat." He simply replied as he tried to stand up.
"Get something to eat without your parents? I'm sure they won't be happy if they get here and don't see you here. What about this?" She stopped as she started searching her bag, and she brought out a bread. "Eat this. I have more with me. My mother prepared it for me this morning so it's still very fresh and good." She suggested, stretching the big bread to him with a gentle smile on her face.
Damon bit his lower lip as he thought of how to turn the girl down. He couldn't trust himself if he got closer to her and he wanted to avoid trouble at all costs but when he looked at the girl's face, it was obvious she wouldn't be taking NO as an answer, and that made him want to knock her head in for being so stubborn ~
"Ain't you scared of me? I'm a stranger, or didn't your parents tell you to be wary of strangers?" Damon asked, hoping that would discourage the girl from wanting to talk to him. Getting disrespected by a stranger was a big turn-off, right?
The girl chuckled. It was obvious she was in pain, but she was still smiling through the pain. "How old are you?"
The question sounded odd to Damon, but he shrugged and crossed his arms. "If you're asking for my true age, I should be 210 this year, but right now, I'm 10 years old." He replied.
The girl laughed again. She looked at him and shook his head. "I'm Tiana, 15 years old this year, which means that I'm 5 years older than you, so I'm your big sis." The girl replied before stretching the bread forward again. "Take this now before I change my mind."
Damon was about to reply when his stomach churned again, and he frowned. "Maybe what I want is just the bread she is holding. I should collect it." He said to himself, comforting himself as he set out to walk toward her.
He reached the girl's bed and stretched his hand to collect the bed, but that was all he remembered. The next thing he did was grab the girl's hand, he pulled her up the bed and grabbed her head, without warning, Little Damon dug his already elongated teeth into the vein of her neck and drew out blood!
His insides were burning with each drop of blood that entered his body, but the hunger in his stomach kept pushing him to drink more. Little Damon shook his head, he rolled his eyes, he tried to clench his fist as he tried his best to stop sucking Tiana's blood but no matter how hard he tried, it just wasn't working... It was like something had taken over him completely.
What was more shocking was the fact that Tiana wasn't making a single sound; she had her eyes closed as she waited for him to suck as much as he wanted, and just when she thought he was done, he started sucking again.
Damon sucked Tiana's blood for a while until his hunger was satisfied, and just then, he was able to stop sucking.

Damon shook his head. He staggered back in disbelief. He looked at his hands and shook his head again. Opening his mouth, he wanted to say something, but the door cracked right then, and when he turned his head, he saw a pale young boy staring at him with horror in his eyes.
"Monster!" The boy screamed.

CHAPTER 37: ABSORPTION
Damon closed his eyes and slowly fell into the meditative stage. His consciousness blurred as he entered his own body, and right at the center of his belly, he could feel a drop of blood bubbling. The blood would grow and then decrease again. It was as if it was breathing. This shocked Damon. He had never seen anything of such before, and that beast, though strong, shouldn't be strong enough to create such a strange phenomenon in his body. Except that the beast was indeed strange. Damon couldn't understand why the blood wasn't dispersing in his body, but he also felt like the blood shouldn't hurt him either. Even if it did, he wouldn't let such a thing reside in his body. He steadied himself and began attacking the blood with the tiny energy of his body strengthening stage. He attacked continuously, but there was no effect. Damon didn't give up. One hour passed. Two hours passed. But the effect was still the same. Sweat was starting to form on his forehead. Damon opened h
CHAPTER 36: BEAST'S BLOOD
"We... We are sorry, Marcus. I'm sure Athos didn't know this." Lith apologized awkwardly. Damon looked at the guys, and he felt amused when he realised they were feeling bad for him. Why? They weren't the ones who killed his earthly family, so why were they feeling bad?He really couldn't understand these humans' thoughts. "It's nothing." Damon casually waved and walked over to his bed to sit. Right beside him was Martin whose gaze remained on him. The room fell into an awkward silence for a while before Luke cleared his throat. "Marcus," He called. Damon glanced at him. "Tomorrow, we are planning to visit the forest for our last hunting before the inner sect competition. Do you want to come along?" Luke asked. Lith perked up. "That's right. We want to grow a bit stronger before then. As you already know, our strength is among the weakest in the outer Sect, and if we are not careful, we might have to remain in the outer Sect for five more years. By then, it will be over for
CHAPTER 35: THE STRANGE BEAST
Damon was genuinely confused. He stared at the beast before him and slowly shook his head. "I'm not a beast." He had no time to wonder why he could understand the beasts' language. He knew he was running out of time. The beast also stared, seemingly confused. "You are not a beast?" It suddenly asked. Damon's brows creased. "I don't have this much time at the moment. Can you step aside, or do you want to fight?" He wouldn't let the beast cause his death. The beast frowned. "What do you think I'm doing? I'm here to kill you, of course!" It had lost its temper. Not only was the beast deceiving it, but it was also challenging its authority. How dare it?The beast's blood boiled. Damon swung his ICE sword and prepared for a fight. However, the beast immediately collapsed on the ground and began whimpering. "It's them." It cried out. "You are one of them. That sword... You are their new master!" It rolled on the ground, wanting to escape. "What do you mean?" Damon was confused. H
CHAPTER 34
Damon ran toward the direction of the forest. As the system had said, he only had a little more than two hours before he would die. Damon didn't want to joke with that. His life was important. If not for anything else, but for his family that died and for his revenge. He needed to stay alive and grow stronger. He ran as fast as he could, but the forest was far. He calculated the distance and concluded he would only get there in an hour or so. He had no such luxury. If he was to get to the forest around an hour, he would only have an hour left to look for a beast and drink it blood. What would happen if he was unable to find a beast within an hour? Wouldn't he lose his life then?Damon stopped on the way and panted hard. He wasn't sweating, but his breathing had turned ragged. He was exhausted. Running for a full thirty minutes without rest wasn't pleasant, and considering his failing health, he only grew more tired. He rested for a few seconds and began running again. Damon h
CHAPTER 33: DEATH IN TWO HOURS
Fred couldn't believe what happened. His eyes widened, and he glared at Damon. "You!" He shouted, but he was unable to complete his word when he fainted. Damon lowered his gaze to the sword in his hand. His brows furrowed. "This sword..." He mumbled. "Why is it so strange? The sword in this world should be low-level with little ability. Why do I keep feeling like this sword is even more powerful than the swords in my world? This strange feeling..." He was confused. When he struck Fred earlier, he could feel the overwhelming power that emanated from the sword. His heart had raced, and a feeling that the sword could kill him if he were to overuse it flashed in his mind. The sword was too powerful, and Damon was too weak. Weak... the word caused a bitter taste in his heart, but it only made him even more curious about the sword. "ICE Sword." He called, and he felt the sword tremble in his hand. His heart jolted. The sword had a spirit!"This..." Damon felt bewildered. "Swords with
CHAPTER 32: HIS FIRST FIGHT
Fred couldn't believe his ears as he looked at Damon. His curled-up body straightened up, and he turned around, seemingly searching for who Damon was talking to. "Are you talking to me?" He asked, his face filled with confusion. Damon frowned. He couldn't help but wonder if something was wrong with Fred. "Martins, how much did you beat him? He doesn't seem to be alright," He whispered, looking at Martins, whose gaze was still on him. Martin's eyes twitched, and he smiled, "He's just too weak. A single punch was all it took for him to lose his mind," He replied, his voice filled with mockery. Fred gritted his teeth; no matter how low the boys' voices were, he was still able to hear them, and that annoyed him to the core. "Hey, Punk. Who do you think you are?!" He yelled. Martins could be proud, taking into consideration his strength, but you? You are only in the 6th stage of the body-strengthening realm, and you think you can talk in front of me? Aren't you being too cocky?" Fred m
