Little Damon's eyes fluttered open. He felt weak and strong at the same time but one thing he noticed was that he felt slightly different. It was like there was something in him that had changed but he couldn't pinpoint what it was.
"Marcus, Marcus, are you awake? Do you feel better now?" Wendy, Little Damon's earthly mother asked worriedly.
Damon rolled his eyes and snorted "I felt better until I heard your voice, Wo... Mum. I just need a few seconds to myself." He replied sharply.
He looked around and realized he was in a bed in the academic clinic. The last thing he remembered was that he wanted to beat up some kids but he slipped and fell, after that, a voice sounded in his head and that was all, he passed out.
"Was that why I fainted? The voice said I'm now a new being, does that mean that I've gotten my powers back or something? Then, why am I still so small?" Little Damon was confused.
He closed his eyes to picture what had changed in him but he felt nothing at all. He looked around himself but there was still no change and he frowned. "Mum, do I look different?" It took him a while but he was slowly getting used to calling Wendy *Mum*
Wendy looked confused, she looked at him from his head to his toe and shook her head "Nothing at all. Is something supposed to have changed?" She asked and Kabbus quickly shook his head.
He was about to open his mouth to talk when his stomach grumbled loudly and he frowned "Seems I'm hungry. I should eat first and think later." He said to himself but before he could say anything to his mother, she was already out of the room and he knew exactly where she went to.
The door opened after a few minutes and the person that walked in was Wendy with a bag in hand. The aroma coming from her made it obvious that it was food and Damon couldn't wait to mooch on it.
The food was served in front of him and he quickly sat right to start eating. Little Damon raised the first spoon to his mouth, opened his mouth slightly and brought the spoon in, only for his eyes to widen slightly as the taste of the food was slightly different in his mouth.
He looked at his mother, ready to complain about the food but when he saw the smile on her face, he decided to keep quiet and just eat. He ate the food hungrily and finished it all in a few seconds but what was surprising was the fact that even though he ate so much, he still wasn't filled.
He drank more water, drank some more and asked for more food, he ate so much that Wendy became worried but somehow, he was still hungry and he wondered what was going on.
"Are you okay, Marcus?" Wendy asked worriedly, her eyes showing the great concern from the depth of her heart. She had been with her son for ten years already and he had always been someone that ate so little but he finished so much and he still wasn't satisfied. She knew something was truly wrong.
Damon shook his head, he always thought of keeping things to himself but right then, he was scared. The more he ate, the hungrier he became and it seemed like he wasn't eating what he was supposed to eat. The moment he stopped eating, his stomach started grumbling again and the only thought that crossed his mind was that... Something was really wrong somewhere and that scared him.
"I'm not okay. I feel like... I can't get filled no matter how hard I try. It's so... scary." He replied. He hated to be this weak in front of a mere human who might not even be able to help him but if he was sent to be her son, then maybe she would be able to help him in some way.
"Wait for me, I will call the doctors." Wendy quickly replied before she stood up from her seat and ran away.
Little Damon watched her leave the room and shook his head "And here I was, thinking she could help. She is just a human after all."
A few minutes later...
A doctor walked in and came closer to Damon "Marcus, your mother told me you feel empty inwardly and no matter how much you eat, you don't get satisfied. Is that right?"
"Yes. I ate a lot but I'm still hungry. Can you check if something is wrong with me somewhere?" Damon questioned. Even though he knew it wasn't natural, he still wanted to play by this planet's rule and see if things would work out for him.
"Okay, I will conduct a few tests on you and will let your mother know your situation. You will surely be okay." The doctor told him.
Little Damon wasn't expecting much but he still kept quiet as he watched the doctor try his best and soon, he left the room for the test with Wendy, leaving Damon alone in the room.
He was still deep in thought when he heard the commotion outside. He knew something was wrong outside but it wasn't his business and he felt too lost at the moment. He closed his eyes gently to feel his inside again... "I think..." He wasn't able to finish his words when the door opened and an injured girl was brought in.
She was taken to a bed and the person that brought her was crying profusely "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry! You are bleeding so much! So much blood because of me..."
Blood! Blood?
The word Blood triggered something in Damon and he quickly opened his eyes. He turned his head to look at the people that entered his room and he felt his stomach grumbling as he watched the blood that dripped from the girl's wounds but more than that, he felt like he could see the blood running through her body!
"Wait, what? What did I turn to?"

CHAPTER 37: ABSORPTION
Damon closed his eyes and slowly fell into the meditative stage. His consciousness blurred as he entered his own body, and right at the center of his belly, he could feel a drop of blood bubbling. The blood would grow and then decrease again. It was as if it was breathing. This shocked Damon. He had never seen anything of such before, and that beast, though strong, shouldn't be strong enough to create such a strange phenomenon in his body. Except that the beast was indeed strange. Damon couldn't understand why the blood wasn't dispersing in his body, but he also felt like the blood shouldn't hurt him either. Even if it did, he wouldn't let such a thing reside in his body. He steadied himself and began attacking the blood with the tiny energy of his body strengthening stage. He attacked continuously, but there was no effect. Damon didn't give up. One hour passed. Two hours passed. But the effect was still the same. Sweat was starting to form on his forehead. Damon opened h
CHAPTER 36: BEAST'S BLOOD
"We... We are sorry, Marcus. I'm sure Athos didn't know this." Lith apologized awkwardly. Damon looked at the guys, and he felt amused when he realised they were feeling bad for him. Why? They weren't the ones who killed his earthly family, so why were they feeling bad?He really couldn't understand these humans' thoughts. "It's nothing." Damon casually waved and walked over to his bed to sit. Right beside him was Martin whose gaze remained on him. The room fell into an awkward silence for a while before Luke cleared his throat. "Marcus," He called. Damon glanced at him. "Tomorrow, we are planning to visit the forest for our last hunting before the inner sect competition. Do you want to come along?" Luke asked. Lith perked up. "That's right. We want to grow a bit stronger before then. As you already know, our strength is among the weakest in the outer Sect, and if we are not careful, we might have to remain in the outer Sect for five more years. By then, it will be over for
CHAPTER 35: THE STRANGE BEAST
Damon was genuinely confused. He stared at the beast before him and slowly shook his head. "I'm not a beast." He had no time to wonder why he could understand the beasts' language. He knew he was running out of time. The beast also stared, seemingly confused. "You are not a beast?" It suddenly asked. Damon's brows creased. "I don't have this much time at the moment. Can you step aside, or do you want to fight?" He wouldn't let the beast cause his death. The beast frowned. "What do you think I'm doing? I'm here to kill you, of course!" It had lost its temper. Not only was the beast deceiving it, but it was also challenging its authority. How dare it?The beast's blood boiled. Damon swung his ICE sword and prepared for a fight. However, the beast immediately collapsed on the ground and began whimpering. "It's them." It cried out. "You are one of them. That sword... You are their new master!" It rolled on the ground, wanting to escape. "What do you mean?" Damon was confused. H
CHAPTER 34
Damon ran toward the direction of the forest. As the system had said, he only had a little more than two hours before he would die. Damon didn't want to joke with that. His life was important. If not for anything else, but for his family that died and for his revenge. He needed to stay alive and grow stronger. He ran as fast as he could, but the forest was far. He calculated the distance and concluded he would only get there in an hour or so. He had no such luxury. If he was to get to the forest around an hour, he would only have an hour left to look for a beast and drink it blood. What would happen if he was unable to find a beast within an hour? Wouldn't he lose his life then?Damon stopped on the way and panted hard. He wasn't sweating, but his breathing had turned ragged. He was exhausted. Running for a full thirty minutes without rest wasn't pleasant, and considering his failing health, he only grew more tired. He rested for a few seconds and began running again. Damon h
CHAPTER 33: DEATH IN TWO HOURS
Fred couldn't believe what happened. His eyes widened, and he glared at Damon. "You!" He shouted, but he was unable to complete his word when he fainted. Damon lowered his gaze to the sword in his hand. His brows furrowed. "This sword..." He mumbled. "Why is it so strange? The sword in this world should be low-level with little ability. Why do I keep feeling like this sword is even more powerful than the swords in my world? This strange feeling..." He was confused. When he struck Fred earlier, he could feel the overwhelming power that emanated from the sword. His heart had raced, and a feeling that the sword could kill him if he were to overuse it flashed in his mind. The sword was too powerful, and Damon was too weak. Weak... the word caused a bitter taste in his heart, but it only made him even more curious about the sword. "ICE Sword." He called, and he felt the sword tremble in his hand. His heart jolted. The sword had a spirit!"This..." Damon felt bewildered. "Swords with
CHAPTER 32: HIS FIRST FIGHT
Fred couldn't believe his ears as he looked at Damon. His curled-up body straightened up, and he turned around, seemingly searching for who Damon was talking to. "Are you talking to me?" He asked, his face filled with confusion. Damon frowned. He couldn't help but wonder if something was wrong with Fred. "Martins, how much did you beat him? He doesn't seem to be alright," He whispered, looking at Martins, whose gaze was still on him. Martin's eyes twitched, and he smiled, "He's just too weak. A single punch was all it took for him to lose his mind," He replied, his voice filled with mockery. Fred gritted his teeth; no matter how low the boys' voices were, he was still able to hear them, and that annoyed him to the core. "Hey, Punk. Who do you think you are?!" He yelled. Martins could be proud, taking into consideration his strength, but you? You are only in the 6th stage of the body-strengthening realm, and you think you can talk in front of me? Aren't you being too cocky?" Fred m
