Acclimatising himself to the bustling environment of the new school, Alex (Andrew) couldn't help but pick out one of the distinctive features that the university had. It was very surprising to him that there was still a case of social hierarchy that determined a lot of things here.

The pecking order was clear, because there were certain groups of students that held swag over the others.
