"Sophia, wait!" Alejandro called out to his wife.

She stopped her car and rolled down the window, looking at her husband with angry eyes. Despite his good looks, Alejandro felt worthless to her because he was broke. “What do you want?”

"Sophie, I thought you said you'd give me a ride today," he said, trying to catch his breath, but Sophia's reaction was harsh.

"Why would I bother with someone like you? You can't even afford a car. Take the bus, that's what poor people do," she spat before driving off, leaving Alejandro feeling hurt and rejected.

He proceeded to walk to work, dressed neatly in uniform. He was handsome and attracted attention, but he only had eyes for his wife, Sophia, despite her disrespect.

"Hey there!" Someone called out, and Alejandro looked up to see a fancy car parked nearby. It was bright colored, and the driver, a woman wearing expensive diamond jewelry, smiled at him.

She is Charlotte Roosevelt, the daughter of Mr. Roosevelt, a very wealthy businessman.

She has tried several times to seduce Alejandro but Alejandro always ignores her because he loves his wife.

"Where are you going? Can I give you a ride if you give me your number?" She asked politely.

Alejandro shook his head. "No thank you, I'm okay walking." He wanted to get back to work quickly, even though he knew he might be late without a ride. He didn't want to owe anyone any favors.

Charlotte persisted, "Can I at least know your name?" She sounded desperate, following him with her car.

Alejandro felt annoyed now. "I don't want to talk to you. Please leave me alone before I call the police," he said firmly.

She just drove off, feeling embarrassed.

Alejandro rolled his eyes. He was used to rich people acting entitled when they didn't get what they wanted.

He reached his workplace, The Diamond Hall, and greeted everyone casually. He was late, and he knew his boss would be waiting for him at his counter, ready to scold him.

"I'm sorry, it won't happen again," Alejandro apologized as he approached Mr. Gerald, his boss.

Surprisingly, his boss didn't say a word, just moved aside to let him take his place.

"It better not," his boss replied in his Southern accent. Despite being rich, he treated people with more respect than most wealthy folks, which is why Alejandro continued working for him.

"Thanks, boss," Alejandro said gratefully and got to work. He served customers with a smile, even when his coworkers were on break. His good looks attracted wealthy women who wanted to talk to him.

With his beautiful hazel eyes, Alejandro could charm anyone into buying expensive jewelry. Maybe that's why his boss hadn't fired him yet.

As he finished serving the last customer, he checked the clock. "I still have 8 minutes..." His break wasn't over when he heard a familiar voice.

"Are you not going to attend to me?" Charlotte Roosevelt asked him.

Alejandro froze but then turned to her with a polite smile. "I was going on my break, but we can make it quick." He put on his gloves and took her hand to measure her ring size.

"What are you looking for?" he asked.

"Something simple but expensive," Charlotte replied with a smirk. “I want you.”

Alejandro's tone turned serious. "I'm not available for that, madam." He flashed his wedding ring to show he was married.

“That doesn't mean anything. I can give you $100,000 for a night, just follow me home. If it is not enough for you, I can give you property but I need you to be mine.”

“Maybe not to you, but it means everything to me. And I'm not a cheater.”

He brought a beautiful blue diamond, simple but it was enough to light the whole room. “You can buy this instead, it is $100,000. Card please.” He smirked at her, turning to the clock. He still had some time but Charlotte reluctantly brought out her card and the transaction was done.

“You'll regret ignoring me.” Charlotte scoffed and walked towards his boss' office.

Afterward, Alejandro went to grab something to eat at a nearby store. On his way back, Charlotte bumped into him and staggered backwards.

In a bit of reflex, Alejandro stretched his hands and caught her.

“Can't you look where you are going, you moron?” Charlotte flared at him.

“I'm sorry, but I think you deliberately bumped into me.” Alejandro said to her.

She just kissed and walked away.

Unknown to Alejandro, Charlotte slipped something into his pocket without him knowing.

When he returned to work, he was a few minutes late, only to find Emily, his coworker, running towards him.

"What's happening?" Alejandro asked Emily, who was visibly nervous.

"The boss is going to fire all of us! Someone stole something worth $200,000!" Emily exclaimed in fear and Alejandro tried to calm her down.

“Who would be foolish enough to steal from a shop with surveillance cameras?”

“Perhaps a moron.”

Alejandro didn't think the situation warranted panic, it would likely be resolved once the cameras were checked.

"The boss wants to search everyone," another coworker informed him. Alejandro didn't object, as he had nothing to hide.

He joined the line and waited for his turn to be searched.

When it was his turn, his boss instructed him to move over and opened his arms for a search.

As the security searched him, they found something resembling a ring in his pocket.

Just then, Charlotte who was now at the corner screamed upon seeing it. “That's my diamond!”

"I didn't steal it," Alejandro protested.

"So how did it end up in your pocket?" His boss's tone was arrogant.

"Why would I steal something so valuable and return here? Wouldn't I have run away? Someone set me up!" Alejandro insisted, looking at Charlotte, who briefly flashed a devilish smile before feigning innocence.

"You know the anti-cheat policy here. Pack your things, boy," his boss declared firmly.

"But can you at least check the cameras? I didn't do it!" Alejandro pleaded.

"You heard me. Pack up. You're fired!”
