The next day at work, news of Edna and Edgar getting a VVIP invitation to The Clique restaurant was what everyone could talk about.

Edgar, afraid that there might be another accident, decided to take Edna to work and as they both walked in, the volume of the gossip only reduced.

Everyone whispered what they thought to each other as they watched the court walk past them.

‘It must be the doings of Meyer Jones.’

One of the workers said and Edgar clenched his fists. It took a lot of willpower for Edgar to walk pass without throwing a fist at his face.

‘It is not, Meyer Jones hates that Edgar had taken his daughter out of his house and Meyer Jones himself has never gotten an invite.’
