Chapter 4

Alan guided Ellara to the bed in the room, he was trying to do something to her but then he wasn't trying to tell Ellara anything but to keep it to himself and make sure that nothing was going to make her scared.

Alan brought out needles and pierced Ellara’s body, he placed it in meridian points in her body trying to make sure that she was going to be relaxed.

Ellara was confused, she was covered with burns but then she didn't know why the man in front of her didn't even care then was trying to make sure that he would help her out in a weird way.

“Now Ellara I want you to make sure that you will relax your body and make sure that nothing is going to make you reject this treatment.” Alan was looking at Ellara, he was about to begin the main treatment.

Ellara was looking at him but then, she was not sure what he had in mind but he knew that it was something a bit off, but for some reason the man in front of her was not like any other man he looked like someone who needed to be trusted.

“Okay, I don't know what you are doing but then I will keep calm and wait for you to finish,” Ellara said she was sure that there was no way she would be able to run to anyone.

Alan smiled as he used his hand to make sure that Ellara would close her eyes, it was something he needed to do to make sure that nothing was going to go wrong.

Alan began using a mantra that seemed soothing to Ellara, suddenly she felt her body get a bit weak before she slipped into a sleep-like state.

It took about thirty minutes for Alan to make sure that he was done with her, he began taking the needles off while there was a huge smile on his face. It was a smile that showed that he had done something that would be seen as something mind-blowing.

He looked at Ellara and noticed that she was still fast asleep, it was like she was at perfect peace nothing was going to wake her.

Alan tapped her shoulder, he was trying to make sure that he would get her to open her eyes.

“Ellara, you can wake up now. Everything is done,” Alan was trying to make sure that he would make her get up.

Ellara opened her eyes, she was looking at Alan and she was a bit confused when she saw an odd smile on his face.

Ellara was confused, she wondered what made Alan smile like that. “What is wrong? Why the odd smile?”

“You can go see for yourself in the mirror, I am sure you will be happy to see what it is that is making me smile like this.” Alan didn't want to tell her.

Ellara was confused, she got up from the bed and walked to the mirror lying in the corner of the room.

She picked it up and when she looked at it she didn't see any of the scars she had on her body from the fire. It was like a miracle.

“What happened to them?! My scars are all gone?!” Ellara was looking at the mirror, she turned to look at Alan who had a smile on his face.

“Well, I don't like people calling my wife names and I was not going to let even your family insult you so I wanted to surprise you. That is just your first gift, for your second gift I want to give you something that would show people you are not someone to be trifled with.”

Alan walked past Ellara, he walked out of the room going into the next room there.

Ellara was left with her thoughts. She didn't know what she was going to think at that moment, knowing that she had been so rude to Alan.

‘How in the world did he heal me? I don't know what I am going to say to him, I called him all sorts of names yet he healed me. I don't even know what I am going to be calling this kind of gift,’ Ellara was looking at herself in the mirror as she remained shocked at the fact that there was no way for him to come out and tell her that he was going to make her a slave.

“I was thinking of what I would give you to show that you are not someone to be played with. I know you will say that all this is a bit too much but then I want to make sure that nothing is going to make you feel unsafe out there.”

Alan came out with a necklace that had a Sword and Mountain pendant, he walked up to Ellara and put it on her neck.

Ellara was still looking at Alan, she knew that there was no way for any ordinary man to do all this for her and even try to make it look like he didn't do anything much.

“Now what is with that look on your face?” Alan was looking at Ellara, he had seen her and noticed that she was not in the right mind to say anything.

“Uhm, I wanted to ask this but then I was scared I might make you angry.” Ellara was looking down, she didn't want to say anything but then there was nothing more for her to do.

“You can tell me, I don't bite. I will only tell you what I think and you will be the one to give me the run-through of what I think.” Alan was looking at Ellara, he was not going to make her feel uncomfortable.

Ellara looked at Alan, and all she could see was someone who didn't even care what she had said to him.

“I wasn’t actually polite on our way here, I said a lot of stupid things. I also said you were trying to use me to get my family’s money but then you only healed me and acted like nothing was going on. Why are you doing all this for me? I know you should be the one to even say that you are going to be kicking me off the streets because there is no way I deserve you doing all this for me.”

Ellara was looking down, Alan smiled when he heard all she had to say. He was not surprised.

“Well let’s say, you deserve it and everything is going to be coming your way from me. I know you think that there is no need for me to even think of doing something like this for you. But then, I know you deserve all this and more.” Alan was looking at Ellara with a huge smile on his face.

Ellara looked at him. She didn't know what he meant by that, but then it was clear that he would not stop doing things for her.

“I…” Before Ellara could finish saying what she had on her mind, the doors opened and a man dressed in a top-quality suit walked in.

“Sir, we found the first heirloom and the first suspect, he…” The man paused when he saw Alan raising his hand.

Alan looked at him, it was a sign for him not to say much. “I will be there with you soon,”
