The problem seemed simple: just a few busted wires.

Arthur grabbed a toolbox from the trunk and got to work under the hood.

His hands moved with practiced precision, cutting away the fried sections and patching them up.

Then he paused, brows furrowing slightly.

This damage... It wasn’t random. It felt deliberate.

But he didn’t stop his hands, tightening screws and finishing the job.

Selune was pacing nearby, her phone held high as she hunted for a signal. She barely heard Arthur call out to her.

“It’s fixed. Give it a try.”

“What? You can fix cars?” Selune blinked, a mix of confusion and curiosity flashed across her face.

She slid back into the driver’s seat, turned the key—and sure enough, the engine roared to life.

“You lose your memory, and you can still fix cars? Is this... muscle memory or something?”

Arthur shrugged. “Maybe.”

“You’re way too familiar with cars—You sure you weren’t a mechanic before?”

“ If you don’t remember your past, you’ve got a backup career lined up. Sounds a mechanic suit you.”

“Me? I’ll think about it,” Arthur smirked faintly.

A mechanic? After being the War God? He shook his head, amused by the thought.

Meanwhile, the penthouse party was in full swing.

Neon lights flickered across the room as the music pounded, and bodies swayed on the dance floor. Servers weaved through the crowd, trays of wine in hand.

The host, Ken Wells lounged on a velvet couch, two women draped over him. He grinned down at the party from the second floor, savoring the attention.

“Let’s dance, baby,” purred the brunette, sliding her arm through his.

“Don’t forget about us when you’re married,” teased the blonde, her fingers trailing up his thigh.

Ken chuckled, pulling them closer.

“Forget? You two are my girls. Selune might be hot, but she’s colder than ice. You know how to treat me right.”

"Stick with me, and you’ll get everything you want," he added, pulling a credit card from his pocket, tossing it to them. They caught it, eyes sparkled with excitement.

But just as things were heating up, a bodyguard in black approached, and whispered something in Ken’s ear.

Ken’s grin vanished. “What did you say?”

The bodyguard repeated himself, and Ken’s face twisted in fury.

He shoved the women away. They scrambled off as soon as sensing his mood shift.

"That bitch! She thinks she can screw me over?" Ken’s voice was low, dangerous.

He slammed his wine glass to the floor, the shattering sound cutting through the music

The crowd froze, turning just in time to see a chair topple to the ground.

Chaos erupted as people scattered, their screams filling the air.

“Shut down everything tied to the Herbert family. Now!” Ken barked.

His eyes burning with rage. "Anyone who crosses me always regrets it."

If he didn’t bribe the Herbert family’s staff, he might never know the mess his fiancée made behind his back.

He signaled his dozens of guards, their dark suits blending into the shadows.

“Get the car ready. We’re dealing with that bitch today!”

Selune, unaware of Ken’s wrath, led Arthur to her home.

“Come on in. It’s just me most of the time,” she said, pushing open the door.

Arthur followed, taking in the view of the house.

It had a chill vibe. White walls, blue arches, lush greenery—like something straight out of a travel brochure.

Before he could say a word, a thunderous roar shook the house.

The door burst open, and a massive golden figure lunged at Selune, knocking her to the floor!

Arthur tensed, ready to fight, but Selune’s laughter stopped him.

"Leo! Good boy! Miss me?"

It was a lion!

A huge, powerful lion - bigger than any lion Arthur had ever seen – purred like a house cat as Selune scratched his chin.

"This is Leo," she said, smiling fondly. “He was abandoned as a cub. I raised him.”

Leo, however, wasn’t so sure about Arthur. The lion locked eyes with him, tail flicking, teeth bared in a silent warning.

Arthur could feel the heat radiating from its massive body. It radiated the pure, unrelenting force of nature’s raw power.

In its presence, any normal person would be scared enough to wet their pants.

Arthur let out a sigh. "Well, kittens never like me. "
