Wang Chen defeated Wang Zhu’s two subordinates with astonishing ease, even though he possessed no cultivation at all, while the two youths were already at the early stage of Qi Refinement.

If Wang Chen still had the weak body he once possessed, accomplishing such a feat would have been extremely difficult. But now, although his physique was still inferior compared to true cultivators, he had excellent combat techniques.

Back on Earth, he had once been a practitioner of the black belt, mastering several martial arts. Defeating young men who were still immature in martial knowledge was naturally easy for him.

“You…” Wang Zhu had not expected this.

Just last year, those two subordinates had been able to beat Wang Chen with ease. Back then, Wang Chen had looked fragile and feeble—completely different from the refreshed and vigorous appearance he had now.

Wang Zhu had no idea what Wang Chen had done over the past year to become this strong. Not that he cared what Wang Chen had done, anyway.

“Heh, you’ve grown stronger lately, haven’t you? If you’re not taught a lesson, you’ll only become more arrogant,” Wang Zhu said as he stepped forward, took a stance, and leaped into the air.

And then—

Wang Zhu met the same fate as his two subordinates. He was defeated in just a few moves, crashing headfirst into the ground and forming a large bump on his head.

Wang Chen clapped his hands lightly. “At the very least, you’ll need to reach the late stage of Qi Refinement to defeat me. Let’s go, Xiao Yue.”

The two of them left the market.

“You’re quite interesting, young man.”

After only a few steps, Wang Chen suddenly stopped upon hearing a man’s voice.

“Xiao Yue, did you hear something?” Wang Chen asked as he looked left and right, unable to find the source of the voice.

“Hear what?” Qiao Yue asked with a puzzled expression.

“Was it just my imagination?” Wang Chen muttered and ignored it. But after taking just one step, the voice sounded again.

“It seems you truly have no cultivation. I thought you might be using something to conceal it, but it turns out I was wrong. Well, that’s only natural.”

Wang Chen stopped and turned around again, his brows furrowed.

“To your right!”

Wang Chen turned to the right and saw only a man sitting by the roadside, selling goods laid out on a short table.

‘Could this be some mysterious cultivator hiding in plain sight?’ Wang Chen suspected that the voice came from the vendor.

“Tsk, how pathetic. The voice you’re hearing is coming from the black ring on his table. Look closely.”

Wang Chen raised an eyebrow and glanced toward the table. Sure enough, there was a black ring there.

‘Is this like in those novels? A trash young master finally finding a magical treasure and encountering a hidden master who teaches him cultivation?’ Wang Chen recalled the novels he had once read.

“I know why you’ve been unable to cultivate and why you’ve had a weak body since childhood.”

This time, the voice caused Wang Chen to freeze.

“And I know how to cure you.”

Wang Chen immediately pulled Qiao Yue closer and whispered to her.

“Xiao Yue, I want that black ring.”

Qiao Yue looked left and right, then raised her thumb confidently.

“Don’t worry, young master. I’ll get it for you.”

She then walked toward the left side of the street, even though the item Wang Chen wanted was on the right. Wang Chen neither complained nor pointed it out.

Qiao Yue examined the goods on a nearby table and picked up a ring.

“How much is this ring?” Qiao Yue asked.

“You’ve come to the right place, miss. This ring is made of black metal obtained near a volcano. The original price is 100 silver coins, but since you’re so beautiful, I’ll give you a 50% discount—only 50 silver coins,” the vendor said enthusiastically and confidently.

“Hah? Fifty silver? Are you trying to scam me? This shabby ring is worth at most ten silver—and even that would already be expensive!” Qiao Yue said loudly. She placed the ring down heavily on the table and walked away.

“Hmph! What do you even know about jewelry?!” the vendor cursed, but Qiao Yue ignored him completely.

She then walked over to the vendor selling the ring Wang Chen wanted and picked up a bronze ring.

“How much is this?” Qiao Yue asked.

“Young miss has a good eye. This is a copper ring with a sea gem embedded in it—perfect as a gift for a loved one. It costs only ten silver coins,” the vendor said. Having overheard Qiao Yue’s earlier argument, he deliberately set the price at ten silver.

Qiao Yue studied the ring briefly, then put it down and picked up the black ring Wang Chen wanted.

“What about this one?”

“This one is made from very valuable black metal. It’s hard to obtain, and forging it requires extra effort. The price is five silver coins.”

“This ring has a sea gem and costs ten silver, yet you’re pricing this black ring—which is already about to fall apart—at half that? Are you joking? One silver. Either you sell it, or I’m not buying.”

“Miss, if it were that easy, I’d suffer a loss. Five silver—that’s the lowest I can go.”

“Alright, then.” Qiao Yue turned around to leave.

“Ah—wait, young miss! Fine, fine. One silver,” the vendor hurriedly said.

“Hm. You should’ve said that from the beginning.” Qiao Yue handed over one silver coin and took the ring.

That was how Qiao Yue always managed to obtain unbelievably cheap prices whenever she bought something.

Wang Chen, Yun Xuhua, and Su Xianlin entered the Deep Dark Sea using the bodies of Sirens that Wang Chen had modified into artifacts. As they descended deeper, Su Xianlin emitted the distinctive sound of a Siren to search for the presence of other Sirens through sound waves. When the sound waves Su Xianlin produced collided with something, they immediately realized that they had detected other Sirens. They headed toward the Sirens, and the other Sirens did the same. Soon, they encountered five more Sirens. The Sirens circled around one another for a moment, which was apparently how they greeted each other before going their separate ways. The deeper they descended, the more frequently they encountered Sirens, and the slower they became.Although they were unaffected by the water pressure, the density of dark energy deep within the Deep Dark Sea prevented them from moving as quickly as usual. The deeper they went, the slower they became."We're already at a depth of 1,000 kilometers, b

"Finished."After two days of work, Wang Chen finally succeeded in turning the corpses of the three Sirens into artifacts.Their appearance was no different from before they became artifacts, as Wang Chen had preserved their skin and all of their external features. He had only replaced most of their internal organs with artifacts.Naturally, since they had become artifacts, the three Sirens now possessed various new abilities that Wang Chen had added, such as an ability similar to Yun Xuhua's eyes, but with the darkness element. Of course, it was nowhere near as powerful as the original Truth Light Eyes.Wang Chen could only imitate the basic functions of Yun Xuhua's eyes using Rune Arrays. There were some aspects that he could not reproduce through artifacts, causing the imitation to lack the deeper functions of Yun Xuhua's eyes. But that was already more than enough for them to investigate the Deep Dark Sea."But we only have three Sirens, so only three of us can use them. After examining the memories of the three Sirens, Su Xianlin discovered several things, which she then explained. The Sirens indeed could not communicate using a language like humans did. Perhaps they had lost this ability after moving into the Deep Dark Sea. Since they could no longer see anything, they had become blind and instead communicated through sound waves.Su Xianlin compared their method of communication to that of certain marine species, such as dolphins and whales, which also communicated in this manner. By observing the patterns of their movements and the way their sound waves reflected and collided with the sounds of other Sirens, Su Xianlin reached the conclusion that once every ten years, the Sirens would gather in a certain place and surround it, creating a vortex by swimming around it.This explained why a massive vortex appeared on the surface of the Deep Dark Sea once every ten years. It turned out that tens of billions of Sirens were swimming around a single loca

The Siren Tribe and the Southern Water Tribe have been in a long-standing conflict since ancient times, fighting over control of the Southern Sea.Both tribes possess a special ability that allows them to transform into half-fish forms.Physically, they are very similar, but there is one difference: the Sirens have darker skin due to their innate ability to manipulate darkness. They are somewhat similar to Elves and Dark Elves. One day, the Siren Tribe suddenly disappeared without a trace. No one knew where they had gone, and eventually, the Southern Water Tribe established the Sea God Sect, becoming the supreme ruler of the Southern Sea.Ever since the Sirens disappeared, the Southern Water Tribe had continued searching for them, but they never found any trace of their existence. Eventually, the Sirens were officially declared extinct. But now, the Sirens had been discovered once again in the most mysterious place in the Southern Sea—the Deep Dark Sea."So, what should we do with the

After Wang Chen successfully obtained his Darkness Rune and drastically reduced the obstacles and pressure imposed by the Deep Dark Sea, he instead encountered creatures he knew only as legends from his previous life. They were half-human, half-fish creatures with horrifying appearances, their mouths filled with sharp teeth like spikes, while their ears resembled fish fins. They swam around Wang Chen. Thanks to their exceptional swimming abilities, they created only slight ripples in the water. The aura emanating from their bodies seemed to have completely merged with the Deep Dark Sea, making it impossible for Wang Chen to sense them until he released his dark energy. The Sirens, who had been concealing their presence and intended to ambush Wang Chen, now let out loud cries after their existence was discovered.“Ugh!”The Sirens’ cries were so loud that Wang Chen’s ears hurt terribly.“Hey, wait! I didn’t intentionally enter your territory. Can we talk?”Wang Chen had no idea there w

Yun Xuhua, Su Xianlin, and Fu Yuan watched Wang Chen enter the sea. They were not particularly worried because they knew Wang Chen would be able to handle it.Of course, they did not let their guard down. They were all prepared to enter the sea immediately if anything happened to Wang Chen.Among them, Fu Yuan was clearly the most worried. It was obvious from her expression and restless movements.“There’s no need to worry so much, Fu Yuan. Wang Chen will definitely be fine.” Su Xianlin chuckled softly, finding Fu Yuan’s unusual behavior amusing.“Eh? Ah, I…” Fu Yuan felt embarrassed.“You don’t need to hide anything from us. We all love Wang Chen, don’t we?” Yun Xuhua smiled casually. After traveling together for such a long time, their relationship had grown much closer. Even so, Fu Yuan tended to hide her feelings, while Su Xianlin and Yun Xuhua were more open about theirs. It was clearly because Fu Yuan still considered her status inferior to Su Xianlin’s, so she tended to feel aw
