CHAPTER 3 BEATING THE DOG BOYFRIEND

Nicola kicking Mark down so easily and skillfully was a move Lisa never expected. Mark got down in a flash with his body hitting a wooden table hard. 

"OH MY GOD!" Lisa yelled, rushing to Mark. "You annoying and useless idiot! What did you do to my man?! I'm going to sue you! You are going to jail!" 

Mark, who didn't expect that kick, held his nose in pain as he got hit there. He touched his nose and he was bleeding. 

"He is bleeding! Damn you Nicola! Why would you do this to him?!" 

Nicola watched as Lisa went to carry Mark up. She cried and cussed at him for beating up Mark. 

Nicola also rushed to Nina to help her stand up. She was completely injured and weak. He got so worried about her. 

"Mom! How are you feeling? Where does it hurt?" Nicola asked Nina, worried. 

Nina did not reply to him, she was sad and in pain. Instead of talking about herself, she was still more interested in what happened. 

"What happened between you and Lisa? Why is she suddenly with another man and fighting with us?" Nina asked Nicola. 

Nicola sighed in frustration, "I don't know how to explain this. I also asked the same thing and she's only interested in money." 

"How could she do this to you? You were sacrificing everything for her. You planned to marry her and she's just going to do this to you?" 

"You don't have to bother with her mom. I am more worried about you. I need to send you to the hospital." Nicola replied, more concerned about Nina. 

Lisa was listening to Nicola and Nina's conversation. She felt furious that mother and son came to her house to make a fuss. It's like they are trying to ruin everything for her. 

"You two! Get out of my house this instant!" She yelled at them, her face red with anger. "I was just having fun with my boyfriend and your stupid mother came to interrupt us! Now you're fighting my boyfriend? You'll pay for this!"

"Shouldn't I be saying that to you Lisa?" Nicola immediately replied to her. "You'll pay for this... those should be my words." 

"You still have words to say? You think you can get away with this when you assault me in my house?" 

"You both assaulted my mother first Lisa!" Nicola yelled at her, unable to control his emotions. 

"Just because you became a devil overnight doesn't mean you can treat my mother like your trash." He defended, totally hating himself for ever liking a girl like Lisa. 

At this time, Mark stood up angrily and faced Nicola again. "How dare you kick me?!! Can you handle what will happen afterwards?" 

Nina saw that Nicola was clenching his fists. She knows Mark is still very much angry and might attack Nicola again if she doesn't stop him. 

She quickly held his hand making him look at her. She shook her head, "Don't do whatever you are thinking Nicola. Let's just leave."

Mark scoffed, "What? You think I am going to let you leave after what you did to me?"

"What about my mother? You assaulted me! You have no right to complain!" Nicola yelled back at Mark, trying to control his anger because Nina asked him to. 

"Who cares about you and your mother? What do you think will happen to you if I sue you? Do you think you can handle that?" Mark threatened him. 

Lisa held on to Mark, glaring at Nicola. "Just sue him. What are you waiting for? He should go to jail!" 

Nina was worried at this point. She knows Nicola had nothing on someone like Mark will do anything to put Nicola in trouble. They can't even afford a lawyer as it is. 

"Don't worry darling. I am not that bad either. I am willing to give him a chance to save himself." Mark smirked, wiping his bleeding nose. 

"Why will I listen to you? You think you're the only one who can sue someone?" Nicola confidently stood up to Mark. 

Nina, who did not understand where the confidence was coming from, tugged at his shirt. 

"Don't say anything again Nicola." She whispered to him, Nicola understood her fear of money. This made him feel bad. 

"You must kneel and apologise to me. Otherwise, I will sue you and make sure you rot in jail." Mark demanded. 

Nicola spat, "Over my dead body. Why should I kneel to an animal like you?" 

Lisa stomped her feet, angry that Nicola would not shut up. She wondered where Nicola suddenly got the confidence to brag from. 

"You should do what he is asking while he is being nice! We let you leave before but you had to come back!" 

Nina looked at Nicola and finally noticed his head, "Then... you just got this injury from them?" 

"Go down on your knees, dog. You have a few seconds to do so. If you don't do as I ask, you can kiss your life goodbye." Mark threatened continuously. 

Nina tugged Nicola's shirt worried. She kept giving him a signal to apologise to Mark and let them leave in peace but Nicola is too stubborn. 

Mark noticed Nina trying to convince her son. He laughed hysterically, moving closer to Nina instead. 

"You seem like you want to say something to me, witch? What do you say? Do you mind kneeling in place of your son?" Mark mocked her. 

"She will do no such thing!" Nicola spat at Mark. 

Mark scoffed, "Of course she will." 

Mark gave Lisa a sign to distract Nicola and at that time, he immediately pulled Nina's hair, getting her away from. Nicola. He slapped Nina, kicked her leg and forced her to kneel down. 

"You can't go..." Lisa tried to stay in Nicola's way but she got tossed to the side by Nicola. 

Nicola snapped, seeing that Mark didn't give up beating his mother even in front of him. 

"How dare you?!" Nicola roared and pulled Mark away from his mother. 

He punched Mark so hard on the face that it sent Mark flying across the room. Nicola wasn't done with Mark, Lisa was still trying to get up. 

Nicola pulled Mark and slapped him heavily across the face again. Mark has no skills to keep up with Nicola's strength. Lisa shouted at Nicola, holding a phone. 

"Let him go! You bastard! Let him go!!" She yelled at the top of her lungs which is what she has been doing since. 

Before Nicola could continue beating Mark up, the door barged open. Some men in black rushed inside the room and surrounded Nicola. 

Nicola wondered who they all are, his steps were calculative. It seems they came to fight him and he wondered if Lisa called them in. 

Mark smirked on seeing them, but he turned to them with a glare. 

"What took you idiots so long? Were you waiting for him to kill me!" Mark scolded them. 

They all looked down, which made Nicola realise Mark called them. They are all Mark's bodyguards. 

"You have no idea what you got yourself into. Let's see how you'll escape this now."
