CHAPTER 133: Relationship?
Gilgal entered the room and noticed immediately that something wasn’t exactly right. There was an air of oppressive sadness about. He needed no great intuition to know that Yvaine radiated this very aura. It wasn’t the aura of a powerful practitioner at all, but the aura of an individual suffering from great sadness. Gilgal felt strange. How and why would she feel sadness at a time like this? This was the first emotion he’d felt from the Princess that felt truly genuine. He frowned, suddenly feeling melancholy as he walked over and sat beside her on the floor. The bed was gone entirely, but he didn’t mind it, feeling strangely sympathetic. “What’s the matter?” He asked finally. “Thank you,” Yvaine said instead, turning to look at him. He noticed just how purple her eyes were, seeming almost endless. Her eyes still radiated that sadness, even as the edge of her lips lifted slightly in a smile. “For what?” “For my advancement and everything else.”“That’s not worth a thank
CHAPTER 132: Merging Of World Core
He was shocked because he knew exactly what was happening. After coming to this city, he spent a significant portion of his income to purchase a World Core from a practitioner who had fire affinity and had succeeded in absorbing the fire element of the core. Gilgal replaced the fire element of the core to stabilize it, then handed it over to Yvaine and Nur. That was weeks ago, and the core helped both women greatly. That practitioner who sold the Core, along with the entirety of the Sundered Aether, believed that the Core was useless to them once they already absorbed the energy they needed from it, and the comprehension along with it, but it was different for practitioners with a World Core. After receiving the Core, Yvaine immediately began comprehending, and her shocking comprehension speed was so fast that she raised her comprehension from 60% all the way to 70% in just one week! Nur’s rate of comprehension was slower, but she also raised her comprehension from 45% to 53% i
CHAPTER 131: Return And Healing
Sunder was cast more than three times, each time obliterating the Feral Devil to atoms, only to have it recombine again, healing tyrannically. But Gilgal also noticed that the speed of recombination after each attack was affected, slowing down slightly. This drop in speed was too minuscule to make a difference at the moment, but it proved his theory. A more powerful attack would likely permanently kill this beast, but in the absence of that, he might need to use Sunder more than a thousand times! That consumption wasn’t something that his current magic level could sustain. Right now, he’d barely used up half of his magic level, and it was enough. Unsure if he could still absorb normal world energy to replenish his Chaotic Core, he wasn’t willing to risk complete exhaustion. He performed three more Sunder spells, then fled. He was so fast, directly accelerating to over 5,000m/s, grabbing two late Dominion level Feral Devils who were felled by his earlier strikes and arriving at
CHAPTER 130: Battle With Peak Dominion Level
Gilgal moved to intercept, fearless. The world was cleaved open and the clawed paw fared no better, being directly split in two, offering no resistance at all. Gilgal spun into another cut, but it hissed through air instead, the force still slicing out to clear entire kilometers of trees and unlucky Feral Devils. The Feral Devil was too fast, dodging that strike easily to appear behind him, maw closing around his head. Gilgal sneered, shifting his stance and coating his body with Chaotic energy, repelling those fangs. He spun with a fist, connecting with the jaw of the beast. He hissed in pain as his knuckles were immediately bruised and the force staggered him back a step. The beast roared with laughter, vanishing again. This was now relativistic speed it was displaying here, Gilgal realized. That was why he was unable to notice it then. This was another body equivalent to a spell. After all, moving at relativistic speeds shouldn’t be possible except through a spell. Movin
CHAPTER 129: Peak Dominion Level Feral Devil
Gilgal slammed into that projection, tearing through and causing it to dissipate. His skin tingled from the impact, causing him to shiver. Feral Devils couldn’t perform magic, he knew, so that had to be a projection brought about by a body that had broken all the laws of this world. A body equivalent to a spell in it’s own right. A Feral Devil that had already surpassed the late Dominion level!Shaking with this deduction, he immediately turned to flee. “SINCE YOU’VE ALREADY COME, WHY NOT STAY FOREVER?!” a mighty voice boomed in this space, forcing him to a stop. This voice was so tyrannical, directly affecting his soul. Even Void Sunder trembled in it’s space, receiving a measure of this soul attack. Gilgal grimaced. If he hadn’t already understood his soul, he would have been knocked unconscious by that attack, or worse. As it was, he was still mildly paralyzed. But even more shocking was the fact that the creature had spoken at all! A Feral Devil that spoke! Was it at the T
CHAPTER 128: Physical Evaluation
While the path of advancement was the same everywhere for the most part, the path of combat was not the same. Some practitioners followed the path of the body, combating with physical toughness and tenacity. Others followed the path of the sword, and others still followed the path of spells. Theoretically, all combat paths were the same in potential, with none being better than the other, but all subject to limitations. It was believed that all paths ended up with the path of spells, as even the most tyrannical body could be enhanced to the point where it directly defies reality and laws, becoming a kind of spell in it’s own right. Gilgal had always followed the path of the sword, and only began practicing the Body path when he trained for the Bronte, Midgol contest. Now that his physical body was truly tyrannical, this path seemed most suitable to him. But with Void Sunder, the path of the sword also seemed most suitable, leading him to practice both of them simultaneously. No
