Once Again

The sound of whispers and murmurs echoed through the halls of the school, as students and staff rushed to gather around the nurse's office. They craned their necks, trying to catch a glimpse of what was happening.

As Mia heard the news, her face lost color, and she felt a pang of guilt in her chest. She wished she had gone with him, but instead, she was left with regret.

Meanwhile, some girls who were envious of her took the chance to spread rumors and attack her reputation. They surrounded Mia and taunted her, their voices filled with cruelty and jealousy.

"She's so insensitive," one of the delinquent girls sneered, as they huddled together and pointed toward her.

"I can't believe she let her boyfriend go to the nurse's office all by himself," another chimed in, shaking her head in mock disapproval.

"What kind of girlfriend is she?" the third added, making a show of tutting and clicking her tongue.

But she simply walked past them with a straight face, unaffected by their insults.

The sound of his own screams echoed in his head, as the memories of what happened before he collapsed kept flooding his mind. Despite his efforts, he couldn't seem to escape the intense pain that felt like it was tearing him apart from the inside out. Yet, all of this was just a manifestation of his thoughts and emotions. He was still unconscious and his body was lying in a hospital bed, unable to move.

In 2020, the world was thrown into chaos when Dimensional Gates appeared and unleashed monsters that started attacking humanity. Governments struggled to find a solution to stop the creatures but to no avail.

These fantasy-like beasts, driven by a thirst for blood, left no one untouched as they ravaged communities, killing men, women, and children alike. Their mission seemed solely focused on wiping out humanity.

The arrival of "Cultivators," however, marked a turning point in the chaos and destruction. They fought valiantly against the monsters that threatened to wipe out humanity, bringing peace back to the world. Hailed as heroes, the Cultivators changed the course of history by introducing martial arts and magic as the new norm.

And then it happened.

After one century of peace and stability, the god-like creatures from other dimensions crossed over, bringing unparalleled destruction and mayhem. Only the most skilled and powerful cultivators stood a chance against them, armed with their mastery of magic and martial arts.

Among the god-level monsters was Fer, the most formidable opponent Mo Shen had ever faced. Fer's immense power defied reason and struck fear into the hearts of even the strongest cultivators in the world.

As the war raged on, the humans suffered heavy losses. Despite their efforts to defend themselves, the demons were too powerful, and their strength only seemed to grow with each passing day.

Meanwhile, the Cultivators were working tirelessly to find a solution to defeat the demons and restore peace to the world once more. But with each passing day, it seemed that the demons were one step ahead, and the future looked increasingly bleak

Mo Shen's heart was torn apart as he watched his fellow cultivators fall one by one in the war against the demon.

The result of his efforts was a spell called "Black Seal," which required the sacrifice of 10 million human lives to create a barrier strong enough to contain even the gods. The weight of this decision was crushing, but Mo Shen knew that it was the only chance he had to protect the world.

The very last thing he could recall was a wave of pain smashing into his head. Immediately afterward, a powerful black dome surrounded him and his opponents, trapping them all in a void prison of suffering.

Mo Shen's eyes slowly adjusted to his surroundings, and he realized he was no longer on the war-torn battlefield. He rubbed his eyes, wondering if this was a dream or the afterlife.

He gazed around and noticed that he was in an unfamiliar place with a peculiar feeling.

"Did I die? Am I dead?" He whispered to himself, as he tried to make sense of what was happening to him.

Then he saw something that he hadn't seen for years.

He stared in disbelief as the figure he hadn't laid eyes on in almost a century appeared before him.

Mo Shen couldn't believe it, after all these years, his first love was right there, in front of him. He marveled at the sight of her, taking in every detail - the way her hair flowed gracefully over her shoulders, the gentle rise and fall of her chest as she breathed, the soft curves of her lips as they parted ever so slightly.

"Is this real? Am I dreaming?" He struggled to process the sight before him. His heart pounding, he whispered to himself,

"No, this isn't an illusion," he thought to himself.

"I can feel and sense everything as normal, except for the fact that I seem to have traveled back in time." Despite the impossible nature of time travel, the evidence suggested that it had indeed happened.

'System Activate,' Mo Shen whispered, and a familiar blue window appeared before him. He smiled with relief upon discovering that his system was still intact.

In the new era, Mo Shen was lucky enough to awaken the "Simulation System" at the late age of 50. The system allowed him to simulate anything on his mind as long as he has knowledge about it. Using it, he was able to create more spells in comparison to other magicians and propel his cultivation.

At his peak, he even attained the title "Magic Emperor, Conjurer of Ten Thousands of Spells."

"Mo Shen, are you alright now?" Mia's eyes fluttered open, revealing the exhaustion from staying by his side for so long. Her tired look was a giveaway that she had stayed by his side all this time.

"What happened to me?" Mo Shen changed his attitude and tried to act like a teenage boy, but his attempt was unsuccessful. . Fortunately, his aloof personality meant he didn't have to act too much.

"You idiot... You made me worry," Mia scolded, her voice cracking with emotion as tears streamed down her face.

"You... you suddenly collapsed while on the way to the nurse's office," Mia mumbled while still trying to hold back her tears.

"I see. How did I get here?" He noticed her distress and tried to shift her attention by asking another question.

She looked at him seriously, aware that Mo Shen is typically a calm individual. But his current reactions were too casual, which made her suspect something was amiss.

"Have I done something wrong?" Mo Shen scratched his forehead with his finger when he saw Mia's probing eyes.

She pouted her cheeks, her expression showing annoyance.

Mo Shen sighed with relief, as he saw that despite everything, Mia remained unchanged from the way he remembered her.

"Don't worry, I'm fine now." He gently patted her head, trying to ease her worry with a reassuring gesture.

"Are you really okay?" Mia asked him again, still skeptical of his words.

Mo Shen gave her a reassuring smile and said, "Why would I lie to you?"

"But you said the same thing last time, and look what happened to you," Mia softly scolded him. Despite this, she still felt a flush of warmth from Mo Shen's intimate actions.

Mo Shen gave a lighthearted chuckle, "Don't worry, I'm a changed person now. I can even take down a bear!"

She couldn't explain why, but Mo Shen seemed more dependable. It's like she's talking to a completely different person.

"Is your fever making you feel more confident?" Mia teased with a smile.

Mo Shen's eyes crinkled with amusement as he chuckled, "Nope. I'm like this because I'm around you."

"You... " She wanted to respond, but the words wouldn't come out of her mouth.
