In an underground room lined with soundproof metal walls, the scent of expensive incense hung in the air. A crystal chandelier swayed gently from the ceiling, casting a dim light over the shadowed faces seated in a circle.

A man in a black suit stood at the center, his body tense as he faced the figure seated in the main chair. That figure wore a charcoal-colored suit and a glossy black mask that revealed only two glowing red eyes.

“I’m sorry, sir…” the man’s voice trembled. “The backup base at the Northern Port… destroyed. None of the assassins we sent… made it back.”

Silence.

One second.

Two seconds.

Three—

CRASH!

A crystal glass shattered against the wall. The masked figure slowly stood, radiating pressure.

“Who did this?” The voice was low, but it carried the heat of restrained fury.

“Initial reports… the Mamba Gang was involved. Alongside someone named Hansen. He—”

“Hansen?” The voice turned cold. “He single-handedly defeated our elite mercenaries. He’s worth watching.”

  • Chapter 77: Interrogation within the Aura

The shattered corridor began to settle, but the air still held remnants of the spiritual pressure that had just been unleashed.Veyna slowly lowered her hand. The symbol of the split moon in the air had vanished, and the look in her eyes shifted from playful to alert. She knew—one wrong move, and the young man before her would turn into a cold executioner without hesitation. But Hansen didn't move. He only stared, sharp and piercing—as if his gaze could stab into her very soul."I’ll ask three times, Veyna," Hansen said quietly. Yet in his voice flowed an aura like the weight of a colossal mountain. "If you lie... your body will answer with pain."Veyna sneered, but her body trembled slightly. That aura wasn’t just a threat—it was a form of high-level spiritual illusion power only used by a Spiritual Dominator."First: who sent you?""...The Third Shadow Council," Veyna finally replied. "They sensed a hybrid bloodline involving Lilith... and Kira is on their list."Hansen's eyes narro

  • Chapter 76: Shadows Beneath the Red Tower

Two nights had passed since that meeting.Yet Seraphina’s shadow still lingered in Hansen’s mind. Her words, the way she said “your woman,” and especially: *“meet me beneath the Red Tower”—*it all echoed like the curse of a memory. In his apartment, Hansen sat still at the edge of his bed. His eyes stared at his phone, lit up with messages from Chelsea, Alyssa, and even Elara—all asking the same thing.“What’s wrong, Han? You haven’t shown up in two days.”“We’re all looking for you. You know Kira is getting anxious again,” said Elara.“If this is about the curse, I can help.”But Hansen hadn’t replied to a single one. He was mapping things out in his mind. The dots from Seraphina’s information were connecting: mixed blood, the vampire throne, and Kira.Kira.*****Elsewhere in the city, deep in the basement of an old library now locked up by the government, an old man in a gray robe stared at a half-burned painting. The painting depicted a woman with blood-red hair, and glowing viole

  • Chapter 75: Night Without Light

The night sky appeared calm, but the atmosphere on the road began to shift as Hansen's black car entered the outskirts of the city. Trees along the roadside swayed gently in the wind, creating faint whispering sounds.Suddenly—click! All the streetlights went out at once. The road was engulfed in darkness, lit only by his car’s headlights.Hansen tapped the steering wheel twice. A small panel opened on the dashboard, revealing a screen with faint spiritual pulses. His hand extended, and in an instant, his spiritual senses expanded like an invisible mist.“…Three aura points. Moving fast… closing in from the front, left, and rear,” he muttered calmly. He didn’t stop the car—instead, he accelerated. But his eyes remained locked on the spiritual sensor.Ding… ding… ding.Short signals appeared on the left side of the screen.—Low magical power, but dense killing intent. Not ordinary humans.“Mid-level spiritual interference. Someone’s trying to cloud my perception.”Suddenly, a red flash

  • Chapter 73: The Burning Ember

"Uncle." Hansen greeted, his voice heavy with emotion.Alex Harmono slowly lifted his face from the wooden chair in the backyard—a place he used to sit with Ferdinan in the evenings. Now, only the night wind kept him company, carrying the faint scent of frangipani flowers that could not soothe his heart."Hansen..." Alex murmured, his voice hoarse. "Thank you for coming."Hansen bowed deeply. "I... couldn’t save him, Uncle. I was too late."Alex shook his head slowly. "It wasn’t your fault. But I know my son... If he suspected something, he wouldn’t stop until he found the truth."He took a deep breath, his teary eyes gazing at the sky."Ferdinan was stubborn. If he had a hunch, he’d dig and dig, no matter what."Hansen sat on the bench beside him. "I think he uncovered something big, Uncle. A company called Asturia Venture. A front for illegal transactions. Maybe that’s why he was... silenced."Alex closed his eyes for a moment. "I’ve heard that name. A few years ago, some suspicious

  • Chapter 72: A Deliberate Collision

On the other side of the city, the atmosphere was far from the peaceful morning Hansen and Alyssa had enjoyed.Ferdinan was driving alone, cruising along a not-so-busy main road. He had just left a small meeting with his internal team—a meeting discussing suspicious transaction traces from a shell company trying to infiltrate Harmono Group’s business network. He glanced at the phone screen on the passenger seat. There was one unopened message from an unknown number: "You're getting too curious, Mr. Ferdinan."Ferdinan frowned. But before he could read more—CRASH!!!A large truck suddenly slammed into the left side of his car at high speed. The impact sent Ferdinan’s vehicle spiraling, flipping twice in the air before slamming down onto the asphalt and landing upside down. The windshield shattered. The sound of horns and car alarms blared in unison.Blood trickled from Ferdinan's temple. His body was pinned by the seatbelt, gasping for breath inside the now-crumpled cabin. But what wa

  • Chapter 71: A Leisurely Stroll

The morning air was still fresh as Hansen and Alyssa stepped out of the apartment. They decided to take a walk after breakfast, enjoying the city as it slowly awakened from its slumber.“So, where are we going?” Alyssa asked, sipping the coffee she had just bought from a small roadside café.Hansen shrugged. “I don’t have a plan. Just wanted to get out. Got any ideas?”Alyssa thought for a moment, then smiled. “I know a nice place. Follow me.”Without much conversation, Hansen nodded and followed her lead. They strolled along the sidewalk, passing shops just opening for the day and people hurrying to start theirs. After about twenty minutes of walking, they arrived at a small park tucked between tall buildings. Shaded trees and a small fountain created a serene atmosphere, far removed from the city’s hustle and bustle.“This is my favorite spot,” Alyssa admitted, sitting on a wooden bench near the fountain. “I come here when I need a clear mind.”Hansen looked around, then sat beside

  • Chapter 70: A Newly Opened Path

The morning sky had just begun to brighten when the car stopped in front of Kira’s apartment. Hansen opened the back door and helped Kira out. Her face was still pale, but her eyes were clearer, as if a new strength was slowly growing within her.Elara stood beside them, scanning the surroundings with sharp eyes. “This place is safe for now. But stay alert.”Hansen nodded, then turned to Kira. “You’ll need time to fully recover. But this might help.”He pulled a small book from his jacket. Its cover was simple, with just one word: Fundamental. Kira looked at it, confused.“What is this?” she asked softly.“A cultivation manual,” Hansen replied. “Simple, but enough to strengthen your body and stabilize the foreign energy inside you. I wrote it last night.”Kira took it with both hands. “I don’t even know what to say…”“Just make good use of it,” Hansen said. His eyes were gentle, but firm. “You’re not fully healed, but if you’re diligent, you’ll gain the strength to protect yourself.”

  • Chapter 69: Blood and Sacrifice

Hansen stood frozen, his eyes locked onto Kira, who was trapped within a cage of blood energy. His body trembled, his fangs still bared, but tears streamed down his pale cheeks."Let her go," Hansen growled, his voice deeper than usual. Blue energy began to swirl around his hands.Valeria laughed, stepping closer to the cage. "Why? She already belongs to us. And you... you’re going to witness her transformation."She waved her hand, and the cage glowed even brighter. Kira screamed in pain, her body arching."STOP!" Hansen shot forward, but Gregor and the other vampires blocked his path.Gregor grinned. "You think you can fight us all?"Hansen didn’t answer. His eyes stayed on Kira. Suddenly, the blue energy in his hands exploded, blasting the vampires around him away. They were thrown back, including Gregor, who crashed into a wall.Valeria raised an eyebrow. "Interesting."Hansen didn’t waste time. He rushed toward the cage, but Valeria raised her hand again. An invisible force clamp
