"How do you get the silver necklace?" he asked, very excited.

"The one in your hand is for your mom, and this is mine. We both got it as a couple. Then, when you were born, your mom gave it to you," he gently explained.

Marcus mumbled, not knowing what to say. His father looked at him once more and hugged him.

The hugging was so tight and it was taking a long. Marcus groaned for air, and he immediately released me. He looked at him, very happy to see him.

"Son! I am sorry I make you suffer for abandoning you all these years," Mr. Thonks plead earnestly.

Marcus was very happy also! He was now a billionaire's son! But his mood changed to anger. How could a parent abandon their child for that long a time? He frowned, my brow furrowed.

"But Dad, where is mom… the one that gave me this silver necklace, and why did you abandon me for all these years when you are this rich?" he muffled.

He looked at him and sat down gently on the sofa, gesturing at him to sit beside him, and he did.

"Your mom was killed right after you were born. Some bastards killed her. I was overwhelmed by revenge. I wanted to kill the people also, so I dropped you at the orphanage so that I will come back for you, but things went wrong," he explained.

Marcus blinked and was so disheartened by this, and at the same time curious. He asked, "Did you find the killer? Did you get your revenge, and what went wrong?"

My dad smirked, "Don't you worry for now! You should be flaunting all this," he demonstrated around the room, "since you are now the owner."

"Gasp."

Mr. Thonks snapped at the bodyguards, and one of them rushed to him and handed him a stack of paper.

He stretched it to him, "Take, this is all my property I owned. I am giving it to you all, you inherited it all."

Marcus popped out his eyes. He could not believe this was happening to him, just in a night, and his life completely changed. He, who people had reconsidered a lowlife till death.

He took the file and went through it. He exclaimed, "Dynamite Company!!!"

Mr. Thonks nodded slowly, "Yes, it is mine, and there is a 5-star hotel also."

He dropped down his jaw. Dynamite company and 5-star hotel were the two hearts of Boston city.

He knew them but did not know they were for his father.

"You get all of this?" He was puzzled and asked again.

"Yes, I have many branches in Boston. In fact, I am in collaboration with like 70% of the company. They are surviving on me, so you are now the president of it all," Mr. Thonks explained.

Marcus couldn't hide his excitement, but he felt something was off and asked, "Why are you giving me all of your properties?"

Mr. Thonks breathed heavily, "I am diagnosed with cancer, I have a 50/50 living chance, so I don't want to go on like that. Also, I built all this just for you."

Marcus' eyes welled up with tears, "Dad! I can't afford to lose you. I just found you, I pray every day to find my parents, and I just did. You cannot leave me on my own."

Mr. Thonks scoffed, "Don't you worry, it's 50 percent, and I will make sure I live because of you. You should not worry at all, just focus on this."

He smiled, looking at the paper once again then told his Dad, "How will I run the company? This is too much for me, and I do not have any business knowledge."

"You will be okay. Ms. Kathie will do all that for you, she will be your secretary and personal maid," Mr. Thonks said and the female maid that assisted Marcus waved at her from where she was, smiling.

Marcus whispered, "She is Ms. Kathie?"

"Yeah," Mr. Thonks whispered back.

"She is hot," Marcus jestingly said.

"Do you want her? I can convince her," his father simply said.

Marcus laughed out loud, "I am just joking, you know, appreciating her beauty." Kathie could hear but did not mind them.

"Tomorrow, you will have to go to the bank and collect your black card."

"What are those cards?" He curiously asked.

"It is a platinum unlimited card, you just have to keep spending as I have deposited 20 billion in it," he said.

Marcus dropped his jaw, "What? That is becoming too much, how much do you actually worth?"

"Son, I am worth more than you think, you will soon realize this is nothing, as they will always have money pumping in every minute," he told him.

Marcus breathed very fast. So this was what it meant to be rich? The idea of you having it all, the supremacy, Marcus could feel it.

"You should go to sleep and wake up early," Mr. Thonks said and stood up. He was about to leave then turned back.

"What about your marriage with Lydia, she humiliated you today?" Mr. Thonks asked.

"You know her."

"As soon as they found you, I did every background check on you," Mr. Thonks said.

Now that he was rich, Marcus was having this idea to get back to Lydia and resolve things.

"I will give her a chance for forgiveness," he replied. Now that he was rich, he did not care about revenge but to lavishly enjoy his life. That was what he hoped.

That is a heinous crime; your son nearly died. But I know them, they are my friends," he affirmed. "They're not the people you think they are. They're friends of mine, and what happened was just a misunderstanding. They never intended for anyone to get hurt."The assembly man groaned, pointing at Lydia.
