I think Kevin needs to tell Hayden that he knows she is a female. Since she has pretended to be a male for over 20 years, Kevin needs to help Hayden develop a plausible storyline that provides an off ramp that explains her past behavior. At the end of the day, Hayden has to be able to save face.
