Chapter 2: The Plight of them in Lockes

Alex has a secret. He is known as a parasite of his wife and Locke’s in Kimberly City. However, he was once the only heir of one of the richest families in the world. 

As is often said, complicated affairs happen in wealthy families and no exception for Andersons. Steve Anderson, his father abandoned his mother because of his lovers, which led to her depressive disorder and death at her thirties. 

Therefore, Alex hated his father very much and escaped from the “jail” at eighteen years old. It's also the time that Jessica's grandfather met him and married Jessica to him. 

But now the only person who knew his true identity, passed away two months after their marriage. So Alex's secret was buried in Lockes.

Moreover, God played a joke on his father that he got a bad disease and Alex is the only heir of him, and the family as well. So he commanded Wiz to persuade him to returen to Andersons.

When these thoughts were like a slow-motion movie in his head, he was already in a taxi to Burminham's Hall, where the birthday party would take place. And in his hand was a diamond neatly wrapped in a velvet box.

When he arrived, Alex saw that the party was about to start, the guests were almost complete, and everyone from the rich or super rich quickly went to the house's main hall, where the party was held. Soon, he saw Jessica, the beautiful girl who stood out from the crowd.

Alex walked towards her. She is a beautiful girl and the only one working in the family. 

She wore a long cobalt blue dress, a cleavage dress that revealed her sexy cleavage, and a low-waist skirt that showed every curve of Jessica's body. It was knee-length and had a split, which looked very sexy but not revealing. The cobalt blue color also made her fair skin stand out. 

Additionally, she tied her hair in an orange bun, exposing the nape of her neck, incredibly sexy. Jessica's face was lightly made up, but exactly showing her beauties.

Although Mr. Locke had given her some shares in the group, her life in the Locke family was not so good because her grandmother Mrs. Locke preferred her cousin - Jack.

Seeing him approaching, Jessica asked:

"Where did you go? I've been looking for you since the party started. Grandma will be mad at you if you don’t show up." Jessica frowned and blamed Alex.

Alex was about to answer but Jessica continued:

"Have you prepared a birthday present for Grandma?"

"Sure, it’s ready." He replied in confidence.

Jessica felt relieved. She was always afraid of Mrs Locke, her grandmother. Finally, Jessica did not forget to advise:

"Today, no matter who teased you, don’t refute. Even if it is an insult, you have to be patient."

"Yes, I will." Alex replied cautiously. It’s the final time for him to participate in Locke's party, he would bear it, he thought in mind.

"Hey, parasite Alex." A male voice filled with sarcasm resounded behind them. Jessica and Alex turned around and saw that it was Jack - Jessica's cousin.

Although they felt annoyed, Alex and Jessica still kept calm. Jack approached with a mocking smile. He said, "Alex, the disgrace of Lockes."

Jack purposely spoke loudly for the surrounding people to hear, as expected, they burst out laughing.

Jessica lowered her head that she still felt so embarrassed to marry such a husband, only did the housework at home.

Alex didn't want to cause trouble for Jessica tonight. He knew things like this would happen anyway, and he was accustomed to it.

"Can you fill the wine glasses for all the members and guests here?"Jack spoke, then raised the empty wine glass in his hand."

This was a wildly exaggerated request because Alex would be nothing more than a servant for the Locke family if he did.

"My wine is empty, Alex, pour it for me. Now, let's start with me."

Hearing Jack's words, the others followed suit and were extremely happy. They handed the wine glass to Alex. Some people have just finished drinking alcohol. 

Faced with their insults, Alex clenched his fists and wanted give Jack a big punch, but he couldn't do it. 

Seeing him hesitating, Jack continued," Is this what you are famliar with? Uhh.. well, I mean, in Jessica's home, don't you serve them in this way? Uhhh... " 

Although Alex felt angry, he thought about Jessica's words and decided to step up. He poured the wine for Jack at first but some dropped Jack's new shoes, which gave Jack an excuse to distress him again.

"Oh, Jesus, you got my new shoes dirty. How will you redeem yourself? Give you two choices: the one is to compensate me with one million dollars; the other is to lick the stain on it."

Alex was totally irritated by Jack's behavior. But at this moment, Jessica suddenly pulled him back. She looked at Jack with angry eyes and growled:

"Jack, an intelligent person is like a river. The deeper it is, the less noise there will be. Do you think you are a talent? Remember that the money you are spending is also from the company, you are consuming the company's assets to embezzle into your fund!"

Hearing Jessica’s words, Jack's pale face froze for a moment. And Alex was a bit surprised that she dealt with the trivals for him.

Just when the atmosphere went tense, from above the stands, Mrs. Locke's voice suddenly sounded:
